My brexit cupboard shelves have been depleted due to using up the things that were going out of date like long life milk and juice. We also seem to have raided the baked beans
After today's announcement of buffoon johnson (isn't Johnson an American term for penis?) being our new PM and his threat of brexit on Halloween come hell or high water I figured I should assess my supplies. I still have my original lists somewhere so need to check everything.
Anyone else extra worried now and assessing their supplies?

Hi @RebeccaRae , how about sanitary towels/tampons? I'm too old for periods but my dd has just started. She's actually using reusables - some bought (Precious Stars pads budget range is a good place to start) and some homemade- awesomely so if I say so myself). She's a fussy person but prefers these to disposables . She doesn't fancy a moon cup but there are lots of options of that kind, if that's your preference.
It would be rubbish to run short of hygiene stuff (toothpaste etc too) and need to go to the shops if it was a bit unpleasant to be there.

@BlackeyedGruesome , sorry you are feeling rubbish. Dizziness is shite. Hope you feel better soon.

@OhYouBadBadKitten , small steps. Dehydrated toms will make a nice flavour addition to a dull pasta sauce. Or in a winter salad.

My DM, who's safely outside the UK, actually asked me if I needed her to transfer me any money in order to stock up on things a bit. Luckily that's not needed, but shows she's worrying about us over here.

I did spend nearly £50 in Boots today. Sigh. Absolutely didn't need to, but I "forward purchased" some skin care, while replenishing other bits. More plasters, migraine pain killers, disinfectant, aloe vera, flu capsules, toilet paper, mouthwash etc - and supplements, which I probably don't need, but take anyway.

Sorry you're suffering Blackeyed. My asthma is still bugging me a lot, but just about staying below the level where I'd be going back to the GP for now (I will at some point). I did sit down and go through all my inhalers, though, and seem have plenty of Ventolin stored up - phew.

Flu vaccines are starting to be booked, if there was ever a year to avoid flu this is it.

We have a decent stock of basics but need more tinned fruit. Also want olive oil and jars of olives.

Lidl's UHT was dated Feb 20, so that's not too bad. Got a kg of cheddar dated the end of Nov too. Stocked up on extra virgin olive oil, even though we have a fair bit already. But didn't get much more as I couldn't find anything (only went as I had the £5 off voucher!).

Bloody Johnson, I'm so angry. Adding more cheese to tomorrow's food delivery which I'll freeze. Did I see that someone has success freezing eggs? How did you do it?

I've got Waitrose coming tomorrow with supplies for Christmas and general day to day stuff. Tia Maria and coke for mum along with peanut m&ms. I've ordered cranberries and raisins, chocolate raisins (there's no hope of those lasting!) Maltesers, minstrels, more shloer, more pasta, more rice, more butter, more cranberry sauce, more Nutella. All things that will get used up no problem We'd happily live on pasta, cereal and toast in this house.

Feeling a lot better than before. Still queasy but the room.is no longer going round. I have unpacked and repacked a stash.

I have also found my lists. I am ok for most things, better than thought for tinned veg but could do with more, lowish on tinned fruit but that is an added extra rather than an essential. Indeed more fruit juice and dd's soya milk.

Freezer in urgent need of sorting and filling. As is fridge.

Not too far off being as ready as I can be.

Butter is thereabouts the only thing I need now. 30 eggs found their way into my trolley in Tesco just now (reduced to 50p for 10!) which we will freeze (crack into silicon muffin tray, break the yolk, freeze, then put into freezer bags). I also bought some oaty bars (Organix) and Hula Hoops. Plus more Harpic and Persil colour (£7 for 57 washes).

I'll need more - supermarket-own - Weetabix and raisins. Think that'll be it then! Give or take more snacks!

Oh, I won't be running out of washing liquid in a hurry! 🙈😂
