ok, am off to bed, after a big glass of water.
good night all. Confused

derxa · 27/05/2019 00:41

Was David Bull the guy off Jeremy vine aka the wright stuff? Yes and Martin Daubney also elected for the Brexit party also appears on it. I don't agree with them but they're consistent. Clarity is the message and the sooner the Govt and Labour understand this the better. Brexit uncertainty is actually making me feel ill. It's wrecking business confidence.

colouringinpro · 27/05/2019 00:42

Widdecombe looking more and more toxic and bonkers!

Jellykat · 27/05/2019 00:42

Widdicombe looked half dead, 'tis the lobotomy effect

Nesssie · 27/05/2019 00:42

NoWordForFluffy we have a secret WhatsApp group, and the first rule of Brexit Party is, we don’t talk about voting Brexit Party. Much safer that way.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2019 00:42

She's no spring chicken!

BigChocFrenzy · 27/05/2019 00:43

Warringon shocked me.
They just don't give a shit about their recent history

Warrington (North West) result:

Brex: 34.2% (+34.2)
LDem: 22.0% (+14.5)
Lab: 18.3% (-13.1)
Grn: 12.7% (+7.1)
Con: 8.9% (-12.0)
UKIP: 4.0% (-25.5)

woman19 · 27/05/2019 00:43

@bbclaurak
Farage speaking now - 'if we don't leave on Oct 31st then the scores you see today will be repeated in a General Election'

It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

Peregrina · 27/05/2019 00:44

I have been watching the results so haven't yet read any of this thread, and am just about to go to bed.

I am sick and tired of hearing the Brexit party claim they have come from nowhere when they are just UKIP rebadged. Same dodgy wiring under the bonnet. Farage has been an MEP for 20 odd years for heavens sake, even though any one doing an ordinary job would have been sacked long since.

Very pleased to see the LibDems and Greens do well in the South east, south west and London and to see the Tories getting the drubbing they deserve. Hope Labour now have the guts to get off the fence.

Nesssie you should have the courage of your convictions if you're that sure they're the right party to vote for.

Quintella · 27/05/2019 00:44

Widdecombe will be chivvying her party mates out of the EP bar. They'll love that.

Antigonads · 27/05/2019 00:44

Which recent history for Warrington?

RedToothBrush · 27/05/2019 00:44

Brexit Party 28
LD 15
Lab 10
Green 7
Con 3
Plaid 1

With Scotland and NI to come.

Looks likely to be 3 SNP, 1 BX (29), 1 Con (4), 1 LD (16)
NI is thought likely to be 1 SF, 1 DUP, 1 Alliance.

If thats true
SNP + Plaid + LD + Green + ALL + SF = 3 + 1 + 16 + 7 + 1 = 29
Brexit = 29
Lab = 10
Con = 4

Widdecombe always looks like something revived from a tomb in a Carry On film

Quintella · 27/05/2019 00:47

Which recent history for Warrington?

The 1993 bombing and Clare Fox's comments on same, refusing to condemn it.

Jellykat · 27/05/2019 00:48

I knew Greens would win in Bristol, wonderful

Would like to know how many Lib Dem MEPs have been lost by people voting Change UK. Friend of mine in SE did Sad. Not anti Change UK, admire their principles, but hope it hasn't cost us too many seats.

Greens came top in 2 councils, 2 more than Tories!

RedToothBrush · 27/05/2019 00:48

Crawley (South East) result: Brex: 37.7% (+37.7) Lab: 18.8% (-9.3) LDem: 16.4% (+12.8) Con: 10.8% (-14.0) Grn: 9.4% (+4.3) UKIP: 2.5% (-29.6)

Chichester (South East) result: Brex: 37.4% (+37.4) LDem: 27.3% (+20.0) Grn: 14.0% (+4.0) Con: 11.6% (-25.8) Lab: 3.1% (-5.3) UKIP: 2.1% (-30.3)

Alex Wickham @alexwickham
You know it's bad when...

Tory HQ is not bothering with its usual election night rolling brief for MPs. No emails from CCHQ to MPs tonight at all, no info on results, no lines to take

(If they're wondering, they're set to come 5th)

In fact the only attack line CCHQ has managed to send Tory MPs about any of its opponents today has been... Tom Watson's Observer article

Peregrina · 27/05/2019 00:48

Suella Braverman on Any Questions on the radio a few months back talked about MPs being unelected. No dear, if you don't know that you stood for an election and won a seat you probably should go and do something else. But no one challenged her silly nonsens.

colouringinpro · 27/05/2019 00:49

BCF 😀

BigChocFrenzy · 27/05/2019 00:49

SouthWest and East Midlands have no Tory or Labour MEP Shock

Antigonads · 27/05/2019 00:49

Sorry. Are you saying that people shouldn’t have voted for Brexit because of the IRA?

RedToothBrush · 27/05/2019 00:50

I hope that the LDs get loads of BBC time now. They are the official EU opposition. Plus now they have doubled the number of people they can supply for interview.
