Westminstenders: Happy Brexit Day!

Happy Brexit day!

Oh wait. No its not.

May looks like she is going to bring the MVIII (Meaningful Vote 3) tomorrow minus the PD (political declaration).

The legalities of this are questionable should the vote pass. The MV needs to have an accompanying PD, by law under the terms of the Withdrawal Act.

That's kind of irrelevant given the likelihood of the deal passing anyway. The DUP have apparently negotiated a 'Stormont Lock' to get more assurances, only for them promptly to say there's no chance of them voting for the deal anyway.

The vote is all about Labour v Conservatives and where we can lay the blame for no deal in two weeks time.

Meanwhile we are already into a prolonged Tory Leader Election with all its glorious gentlemanly behaviour.

Anyway its time for extra time and national riots for delaying Brexit.

There is no need for sectarianism in any form...........

Whilst I miss home it’s nice not to be asked ‘what football team do you support’ whenever you meet someone new.

Littlespaces · 29/03/2019 20:54

"Go back to your own country"

I got this yelled at me on the PeoplesVote march in London. I just said I was home. I wish I had asked which country I was supposed to be from, but I'm not sure he had thought that far ahead!

Westfacing · 29/03/2019 21:01

I've never seen such Orange marches in London, if that's what they were.

Hope never to see any more.

prettybird · 29/03/2019 21:04

My skin crawls every time I come across an Orange March Angry Living in Glasgow, that is far too often during marching season Sad

Belindabelle · 29/03/2019 21:19

Ch4 need to realise the difference between a pipe band and a flute band.

BigChocFrenzy · 29/03/2019 21:56

Even if the DUP are coming round to Remain, I certainly won't be EMailing them in support

They are still a bunch of sectarian fascists

everythingisginandroses · 29/03/2019 22:04

Nigel Dodds says he'd rather remain in the EU than back the WA. Some Tory backbencher says that the only options commanding majority support was the WA minus the backstop, but this wasn't offered. What kind of stupidity IS this?!

icannotremember · 29/03/2019 22:21

Could the DUP supporting Remain possibly lead to, well, remaining? They are only 10 MPs, so it seems unlikely... unless such a u turn emboldened currently shy Remain MPs, some of whom would probably like to be able to frame their choice in terms if preserving the union. Still seems highly unlikely though.

dreichuplands · 29/03/2019 22:58

random I hated that question growing up! After a while I started saying Aberdeen. I still cannot stand football and it all stems from that.

mathanxiety · 30/03/2019 06:13

DUP (either Corbyn or Tory majority)

They are concerned mostly with potential NI results, and they are vulnerable to Alliance, UUP and even to Sinn Fein, so badly have they misjudged Brexit.

All politics is local.

StripeyChina · 31/03/2019 15:19

Just to say I had to be London unexpectedly yesterday (hosp visit)

I was at Parliament Sq around 1pm ish?

Leavers march began coming over Westminster Bridge
Saw front of march which seemed to have lots of UKIP signs?

Didn't hang around as seemed to be scuffles going on. Lots of shouting and drunk men spraying beer around.

Must have seen 50+ Police in space of about 10 mins as tried to get off bridge and out of area.

Triglesoffy · 01/04/2019 00:55

So, a bit different to the Remainers March then?

pepinana · 01/04/2019 09:19

What fresh hell this week then?

FedUpOfBrexit · 01/04/2019 09:27
