Everyone always focuses on leavers that might have changed their mind. For me the group to focus on is the 28% of people that haven't voted at all, probably because they thought the remain outcome was a dead cert/were happy with the status quo. Leavers won by 1.3 million votes and 13 m people did not vote. Probably the biggest issue with the "will of the people" claims.

Either just after 9 or just after 9.30 for 4 million.

BlackeyedGruesome · 23/03/2019 08:44

They talked about it on radio 4 but only as part of another piece.

ADarkandStormyKnight · 23/03/2019 08:46

Appalled to read this morning that the person who started the peition has received death threats to their phone.

BlackeyedGruesome · 23/03/2019 08:47

There are 31 constituencies over 20% now. Last night 26. Two constituencies have reached 28% now.

Not surprised about the death threats. It has happened before to those who have talked about a different view to Brexit.

BlackeyedGruesome · 23/03/2019 08:51

It is horrendous that people in this country can threaten people go get their own way. MP s are scared. Changing their votes through dear. This is not democracy.

Bluntness100 · 23/03/2019 08:57

I'm not sure of the exact numbers but considering there is at least 50+ million adults in the U.K., then 17.4 does not seem a majority to me. It's about a third.

And good on them for getting out there and voting, but anyone who states the majority of the U.K. voted for brexit is talking shite. It was a slim majority of who turned out to vote. The overwhelming majority either voted against or didn't vote. And as such the undisputed fact is the over whelming majority of british adults did not vote for this shit storm.

BlackeyedGruesome · 23/03/2019 08:57

16 constituencies at 2% now, down from 19 last night.

58@3% down from 61 last night

I've still not had the email through. I wonder how many people aren't being counted because of this?

Laska2Meryls · 23/03/2019 09:06

just reposting the Open Data Institute hex map I linked to on the last thread it gives some additional info such as % of electorate voted and leave/remain sores in the event of another referendum ..

Keep going!

BlackeyedGruesome · 23/03/2019 09:07

They are using the majority voted for it for political reasons, as always. Rather than the alternative the majority of those who voted want to leave but there is a majority who did not vote to leave either because they voted remain or did not vote at all. Then there are those newly minted adults who are now eligible to vote and were ok young before.

IceRebel · 23/03/2019 09:09

ReggieWoo Have you tried signing via a different email? Emails are coming through very quickly now, a friend signed last night and had the email in minutes.

2rachtint did you check your spam folder - Hotmail is notorious for labelling valid emails as spam.
