That's all really.

Was still naively hoping the prospect of losing the under 25s vote may pull him back, but he's clearly far to far gone for that.

Have been a lifelong Labour voter and we have a fantastic Labour MP here. Still, I cannot see me ever voting for them again.

I like to think that my earlier “Fuck You” helped contribute to this historic moment. Wink

leckford · 13/12/2019 08:23

I watched Alister Campbell lay into Landesman early this am, no holds barred. He and other Momentum controllers said it was all down to Brexit not their moronic leader, communist policies and the truly awful momentum bullies

AutumnCrow · 13/12/2019 08:26

Getting rid of Jeremy Corbyn and installing Sir Keir Starmer, while Johnson finally has to own his Brexit, kind of works for me.

SlayBellsRing · 13/12/2019 08:28

My father is die hard Labour and he wouldn't vote for Corbyn I expect that goes for lots of the old school workers rights Labour voters.

mummmy2017 · 13/12/2019 11:13

Can I make a forecast.
The Labour party ousted David for Ed.
Would any of the other three that Corbyn beat have been better.
If they elect the wrong person for a third time, and it has just been said the person who takes the job will be a Union Man, can Labour not see they will repeat they same mistake?

MarshaBradyo · 13/12/2019 11:14

Time to go JC

mummmy2017 · 13/12/2019 11:55

Just watched Ed resign, you forget he was a good guy.

I'm not a Labour voter but why the FUCK are people going on about Venezuela? Is this something the tabloids have been pushing? I presume it must be, since so many clueless people are mindlessly repeating it. The crisis in Venezuela has little to do with it's socialist policies and much more to do with how the welfare system and imports of food and medicine were almost entirely funded by money from oil, the price of which has been falling for years. Things were then worsened by the US imposing sanctions because it likes to interfere in Latin American regimes as much as possible. None of this would occur in the UK.

Vote for whoever you want to vote, and by all means question how parties with grand plans (like Labour) are going to fund them, but don't get sucked into believing everything you read in the newspapers. Corbyn isn't a communist. His nationalisation and corporation tax plans would have brought the UK in line with many other European countries. A few socialistpolicies does not make a country socialist, and certainly doesn't make them Venezuela.

goodluckdontdie · 13/12/2019 12:31

CendrillonSings

Is that it? A few quotes about a country that at the time was doing very well? All Corbyn said was

"Thanks Hugo Chavez for showing that the poor matter and wealth can be shared. He made massive contributions to Venezuela & a very wide world"

and

"In Chavez let’s remember someone who stood up, was counted, was inspiring, is inspiring, and in his death we will march on to that better, just, peaceful and hopeful world"

That's it? That's the explanation for thinking Labour would turn the UK into Venezuela? No offence but that's really stupid.

CendrillonSings · 13/12/2019 12:38

Well, how about Labour’s hundreds of billions in uncosted borrowing that could lead to a bond strike, the confiscation of private property (10% of large company shares, McDonnell’s open planning for exchange controls...

goodluckdontdie · 13/12/2019 12:47

Those things have nothing to do with Venezuela. I said that above

It's like saying "Boris lied about 40000 new nurses - he wants to turn us into North Korea!"

MockersFactCheckMN · 13/12/2019 13:33

finally rid the UK of Brussels dictatorship.

...make way, let me through, Politics Graduate:

See, if you can rid yourself of it by voting, it aint a dictatorship.

goodluckdontdie · 13/12/2019 13:49

See, if you can rid yourself of it by voting, it aint a dictatorship

😆

It's kind of scary how readily people repeat these nonsensical soundbites.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 13/12/2019 16:38

Lol, oh well, we’ll be sure to bear all that in mind in 2024. Thanks.

Until then. Fuck off Jeremy Corbyn.

MockersFactCheckMN · 13/12/2019 17:37

Just listened in my usual awe to Her Majesty The Queen Mother of the Labour Party Dame Margaret Beckett, spot on as usual.

Best Leader We Never Had.
