That's all really.

Was still naively hoping the prospect of losing the under 25s vote may pull him back, but he's clearly far to far gone for that.

Have been a lifelong Labour voter and we have a fantastic Labour MP here. Still, I cannot see me ever voting for them again.

OP posts:
everythingisginandroses · 10/02/2019 18:22

We're running out of time. He is trying to make the best out of a bad situation and mitigate the damage. Most posters on this thread sound barking.

bellinisurge · 10/02/2019 18:37

You like him. Lots of people really don't. You think he's labouring day and night to solve this, I think he's doing jack shit.

stairway · 10/02/2019 18:42

Jeremy cannot win whatever he chooses to do. People hate him but don’t know why. I think they are just jumping on the bandwagon. The daily fail publish rubbish about him everyday which the gullible believe.

bellinisurge · 10/02/2019 18:48

I know why I hate him. I'm old. I've been a Labour voter all my life. I've seen his type before. And the terrible judgment that he showed as an adult backbencher shows his unsuitability as leader of the Opposition.

KissingInTheRain · 10/02/2019 18:48

I don’t hate him. I think he’s a figure of fun. He’s hilariously cliched and incompetent.

noblegiraffe · 10/02/2019 18:55

People hate him but don’t know why.

Failing to deal with antisemitism in the party
Allowing Momentum to do his dirty work for him re threatening deselection while pretending to be a kindly old man
Not resigning when he was overwhelmingly no-confidenced by his MPs
Liking that mural, laying that wreath and pretending that it’s not because he’s spent so long around antisemites that he can’t recognise it, nor can he own his mistakes
Suggesting that we should ask Russia if they poisoned the Skripals
Whipping his party to vote for triggering Article 50 knowing there was no plan, the most spectacularly stupid political decision of decades.
Being the leader of the Opposition to the most spectacularly awful government and still trailing far behind Theresa May in polls of ‘who do you think would make best Prime Minister’ and incredibly not being a dead cert win should there be a General Election

Those are the first things to spring to mind.

Dapplegrey · 10/02/2019 18:58

People hate him but don’t know why.

Supporting the regime in Venezuela.

jasjas1973 · 10/02/2019 19:12

his unsuitability as leader of the Opposition

^This

He is out of his depth and i say this as a former supporter of his, i thought he would bring in a new politics but for whatever reason he is unable to follow through on the wave of support he got in 2017.

He's be fine in Govt but in a minor role.

Brexit was a chance for him to come to the fore, sure, he can't make TM do anything, but his dithering over the PV is pathetic.
He needs to get of the fence before it blows over and crushes Labour.

derxa · 10/02/2019 19:23

The daily fail publish rubbish about him everyday which the gullible believe Today they published stuff from a book by Tom Bower an investigative journalist who's been sued by the rich and powerful all over the shop.

I've seen people saying they didn't like Mrs hinches grey decor on here and the responses that have been "she's a person, have some respect"

Rightly so.

JC is still a person. Titling your thread "fuck you Jeremy Corbyn" makes you the same as the rest of the vile internet trolls.

Yawn

KennDodd · 10/02/2019 19:33

Given the state of the two main parties and that they've both deserted the centre ground, why aren't the Lib Dems and Greens storming ahead?

Dapplegrey · 10/02/2019 19:37

Titling your thread "fuck you Jeremy Corbyn" makes you the same as the rest of the vile internet trolls.

Would you say the same if a poster titles a thread “fuck you Theresa May” or “fuck you Jacob Rees Mogg”?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 10/02/2019 19:39

I care not a bit about Jeremy's hurt feelings.

No.

sweetmarie · 10/02/2019 19:47

@Dapplegrey absolutely. You can't chop and change the rules because the person at the centre has changed.
It's crass and it's disgusting.

noblegiraffe · 10/02/2019 19:49

Bloody hell is Jeremy Corbyn also a delicate flower? Add it to the list of reasons to hate him.

Dapplegrey · 10/02/2019 19:52

why aren't the Lib Dems and Greens storming ahead?

I wondered that at the last election, particularly the Lib Dems as they promised to remain in the EU.

noblegiraffe · 10/02/2019 19:54

Lib Dems are still struggling to recover from the Coalition.

Greens are never going to storm ahead. Too niche.

Uptheapplesandpears · 10/02/2019 19:55

I don't hate Corbyn, but I'm pretty fucked off that he's done such a tepid job of being the Leader of the Opposition on Brexit.

Yes, this shitshow is a Tory problem and they take much of the blame, but not exclusively. In culpability terms, I think we're maybe a 70/30 split between the two major parties. Corbyn could've not whipped his MPs to vote to invoke Article 50, and you can't just say it wouldn't have made any difference because actually who knows what empowering impact it might have had on other MPs if there'd been some actual opposition to the vote that they could join. He could've whipped them to support the Cooper Amendment the other week. He could point out now that there's clearly no possibility of delivering a Brexit that wouldn't fuck our economy or that would satisfy anything close to a majority of British people, and thus sadly withdraw his support.

He's done none of those things, and that's his fault. The underlying situation we're in is the fault of the Tories, nothwithstanding that most Labour MPs chose to vote for the referendum to happen. But the way Corbyn has responded to it, that's on him. To some extent the same is true of May too, though as a leading Tory she obviously has more responsibility for the situation she inherited than Labour do. Others hold greater blame for the wider situation, but both leaders have responded to it with great stupidity and by putting the perceived interests of their party over the country.

mirryma · 27/11/2019 23:04

Jeremy Corbyn is a loser. He was part of 'the loony left' when Kinnock was around. Even Michael Foot was better.
And then there is Jo Swinson - what a joke! Fit to be Prime Minister? NO!
Do not underestimate Boris Johnson. He will get BREXIT DONE.

NetballHoop · 27/11/2019 23:10

Do not underestimate Boris Johnson. He will get BREXIT DONE.

And right there you have a reason NOT to vote for the serial philanderer and liar Boris Johnson.

I sense alot of bitterness it appears some would rather have more hardship and division than see a Corbyn government. How incredibly self indulgent. Millions of people cannot afford another 5 years of austerity.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 28/11/2019 06:44

!!!ZOMBIE THREAD BUMPED BY A TORY SPAMMER!!!

SaskiaRembrandt · 28/11/2019 07:44

Do not underestimate Boris Johnson. He will get BREXIT DONE.

No he won't. Even if Johnson is elected, Brexit negotiations will drag on long after his tenure. Anyone who falls for the lie that we can leave in an instant is politically and legally illiterate.

rwalker · 28/11/2019 07:47

His manifesto is like a kids christmas list full of fantastic things that everyone wants but no fucking way of paying for it with out years off payday loans.
