The European Medical Agency left their London offices today to relocate to Amsterdam.
900 jobs. Lost our leading role in evaluating medicines.

No clear pathway forward.

What they should of written on that bus

Step forward into chaos, we have no idea and we're just telling you what you want to hear: Vote Leave.

Didn't most of London vote remain anyway?

His plan was to give them London as a softener. He thinks we'd have most of the skills etc and a vision.

Its a complete disaster and will be total chaos.

Leave voters, don't run away or plead ignorance, you voted for this, you want this. Now own it, sort out the lost jobs, the damage to manufacturing industries.

First time I have ever posted on a Brexit thread, despite being extremely well informed thanks to the posters in the Brexit section that MN shamefully keeps hidden away.

I am in my mid forties. I am the least panicky person you will ever meet, I have a stockpile of essential items in my garage ready for Brexit.
I spent 10 years of my career working in the freight industry, road & sea. I have zero confidence that the current govt can sort out the current mess.

As I sadly said to my DH I cannot believe I'm having to stockpile food, medicines, toiletries etc in the UK :(

Justanotherlurker · 25/01/2019 23:37

Up here we can't believe the shit we're all being dragged into

Considering it is based on some schrodinger's cat scenario of Westminster dictate economic policy being evil to being pro Brussles having control, that's ignoring the fact the polls around immigration is on par with england kind of shows the flaws in why no one gloabally is taking it seriously that is some PC paradise.

Scotland will need to accept a lot of there issues are comparable to brexiteers, nothing more than blaming the other.

Tippexy · 25/01/2019 23:38

You genuinely don’t need to stockpile anything and if you think you do, you should see your GP about your anxiety.

Fossie · 25/01/2019 23:43

Yawn

Theworldisfullofgs · 25/01/2019 23:46

Are you tired flossie ? Might be time to go to bed, dear.

I can't stockpile the things I need most. Only some of my prescription medications are manufactured in the UK. And even those...there's nothing to say that their raw materials are...

InfiniteVariety · 25/01/2019 23:47

In June 2016 just after the referendum my DH & I consoled ourselves with the thought that if things got really bad here, we could always go back to live in Singapore where he is a citizen. It was light-hearted. Two and a half years later we still say it to each other - but much more seriously now....

Oh so jump ship to somewhere with a strict immigation policy, I will put my house on you being a vocal labour supporter as weel, maybe keep your house in the UK as rental and loudly profess that you have come from woring class routes.

Unless you want to offer the cardinal sin of being a tory remainer.

Justanotherlurker · 26/01/2019 00:20

Leave voters, don't run away or plead ignorance, you voted for this, you want this. Now own it, sort out the lost jobs, the damage to manufacturing industries.

Alternatively don't be a remainer and try and profess you are some dyed in the wool working class and care about long term GDP and ignore the same businesses, banks where making the same warnings if corbyn got to power.

Brexit has become a shit show because the vocal left are having to wrangle the position being pro neoliberal, whilst igorning the same big busoineses/banks being anti corbyn, thats ignoring the derission of just righting off a load of voters in labour strong holds as being thick and uneducated

Poloshot · 26/01/2019 00:25

Let's send the minority who are remain voters elsewhere instead as most people voted to leave snowflakes

Hazardswans · 26/01/2019 00:26

YANBU....

Quite like the moving remainers north idea... but what about Wales and NI? NI voted remain like Scotland, Wales was a slim leave a think...

Wouldn't it be nice we revoked? write to your mps kids

themoomoo · 26/01/2019 00:29

try living in a northern deprived town; your opinion would soon change

RomanyRoots · 26/01/2019 00:32

gutrotweins

As norwich is about one mile north of Birmingham, I'd say East midlands, ?

PP suggesting southerners move north
We don't want you southerners clogging up our beautiful north, and taking our jobs. Grin
Leave or remain keep to your side of The Watford gap, please.

7Days · 26/01/2019 00:35

What are you on about now Just?
You're just ranting across multiple threads sniding at people, if there's an actual argument there it's not discernable.

Redskyandrainbows67 · 26/01/2019 00:37

Themoomoo - your town is about to get even more deprived!!

CarolDanvers · 26/01/2019 00:40

I don't understand any of your posts @Justanotherlurker. They don't make sense. Are you drunk? Serious question.

Justanotherlurker · 26/01/2019 00:42

Quite like the moving remainers north idea... but what about Wales and NI? NI voted remain like Scotland, Wales was a slim leave a think...

Ironic that you include wales, i bet you don;t see the irony in your comment.

Maybe the vocal remainers should move north and pay more taxes, maybe they should profess wanting to pay more taxes whilst having a couple of btl for personal pensions whilst pretending they are from working class routes, we could stretch it in to being concerned being about GDP and ignoring the same economists and banks said labour under corbyn would have had jus as much impact.

There is no moral ground in where we are now

Justanotherlurker · 26/01/2019 00:43

There might be somewhere, the AS you did hasn't added to this thread though.

Wow just wow.

RuggerHug · 26/01/2019 00:51

Speaking as a non UK resident who's going to be dealing with a lot of shite because if this....we're going to end up putting humanitarian aid plans into action for you, while taking in refugees. Hope it's worth it for the ones behind.

SisterOfDonFrancisco · 26/01/2019 00:58

I think Just is ranting about the lefties and corbyn. Not sure what brought it about.

SusanWalker · 26/01/2019 01:05

Well as a remainer I would love to pay more taxes, any taxes in fact. Rather than living on benefits in my HA property.

blueshoes · 26/01/2019 01:20
