We have hit another Deadline Day.

As it stands, the EU are looking for more progress. May is digging in her heels by suggesting there is new a requirement for backstop to a backstop. The backstop to all intents and purposes is the GFA. So May is saying in effect, that the EU are forcing her to put in provisions to protect an international agreement we are signed up to, and if we breech it we risk peace in NI.

After lots of noise it seems that the Cabinet have decided to stick by May. For now.

The EU look like they are talking as if their meeting next month will exclude the UK and just go straight to No Deal planning.

There is also other talk of alternatives to allow the UK to stay in the customs union. But theres not much to that and it still doesn't solve the ERG and the DUP problem.

May is vastly unestimating how much the ERG and the DUP want to break the GFA. Which is a huge misjudgment.

There is also talk of the final final Deadline Day actually being Dec 13. For various reasons its not. Thats 29th March.

So Wednesday is Deadline Day #1. Expect more.

I marched next to this guy for a while. He’s actually quite hot in real life Had a chat with him about my MP who he said is wobbling and is one of many on the edge of coming across. He said to keep the pressure on him and keep asking him to ‘do the right thing’.

I do hope threetrees comes back - contrary to his/her/their expectation that his/her/their views will be censored.

His/her/their comments/arguments are so naive (at best) and/or ignorant in the true sense of the word (at worst) that they are easy to refute with pesky facts and reality

He/she/they is/are doing a fabulous job to help those that voted Remain demonstrate the ignorance of Brexiter arguments. Keep it coming!

(BTW: there are some valid Leave arguments even if I disagree with them - it's just that threetrees hasn't come up with any of them )

The only way threetrees posts would be deleted was if he/she/they was a Previously Banned Poster. Maybe that's why he/she/they was so convinced that MNHQ would delete their posts!

The real number will be proportional to the police overtime bill - which will itself be a function how how many they predicted would be there (as to have fewer police officers than deemed necessary for the numbers would of course be irresponsible).

Ergo, the number who attended will be the maximum number that the police had decided in advance would be there - no matter how many were actually there

He (David Willets) seemed to be very friendly and affable. I didn’t talk to him directly but my ears were flapping Intesting listening to some of their conversations about cabinet members & prominent brexists - although nothing that we don’t already know. Everyone seemed in good spirits and quite positive. The message was that we need to keep making ourselves heard. Keep writing to our MPs or, better still, go to see them. There is no appetite for no deal as it’s too damaging.

Didn’t get a pic but my favorite was a shirt that said “I’m the liberal elite apparently” 😁
