Only 1 rule.
No c&p posts a mile long, they’re just boring & no one reads them.
Keep it short, sweet, & to the point.

Peace & Love ❤️🇬🇧❤️

You could call your little exchange ‘the remainer barter network’. Will keep you out of trouble while the rest of us crack on with the business of running the country when it returns to our hands - something sadly lacking in recent decades

prettybird · 10/09/2018 19:21

Never tried sloe gin, but last year's decanted plum gin was pretty fab made into a plum gin cocktail with Cava [hic]Gin

@10degreestostarboard - I love your optimism. I promise faithfully to come on MN and say I was wrong if it all goes swimmingly. Do you make the same promise if it goes tits up?

bellinisurge · 10/09/2018 19:22

@prettybird - ooooooo sounds gooooooood.

10degreestostarboard · 10/09/2018 19:23

Absolutely - my only issue will be finding you in your underground lair...

Or are you a ‘surface prepper’? Assuming such has sub genres of course

bellinisurge · 10/09/2018 19:31

@10degreestostarboard - nah, in plan sight , me. You'll never spot me because I'll be whining and moaning like everyone else so that I can protect my stuff and feed my family.

1tisILeClerc · 10/09/2018 19:38

@Pretty, you need a bit of teak oil on that table chuck!
Maybe after the bottles are empty though.

prettybird · 10/09/2018 19:39

I look forward to welcoming Remainers and Leavers from the Brexit Arms alike to an independent Scotland. That is, if they can get through the queues at the frictionless border Grin

10degreestostarboard · 10/09/2018 19:39

Well if you going to remain on the surface be cautious - remainers may seem difficult to distinguish at the moment (shouty, whiney, superior, unable to accept most disagree with them) but take it from me some may well try to steal your stuff when they hear a prepper is knocking about. And You don’t want to run out of baked beans.

1tisILeClerc · 10/09/2018 19:40

Living in a bunker for 6 months isn't all it's cracked up to be.
You need plenty of Vit D tablets.

bellinisurge · 10/09/2018 19:41

@prettybird - I'll have an Irish passport. As will my dh and dd. Will you let us in?

bellinisurge · 10/09/2018 19:41

@10degreestostarboard - to quote Cory Booker "Bring it"Grin

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 10/09/2018 19:43

’Will keep you out of trouble while the rest of us crack on with the business of running the country

Bollocks with you be doing that Grin

Will try sloe gin and cava...or prosecco I suppose

prettybird · 10/09/2018 19:46

tisIleClerc - we're planning on painting it - a very chic middle class duk egg blue (along with the rose arch, coal garden shed door and rose arch. We just never get round to it Blush only been planning on doing it for 3 years Blush This year's project ended up being moving dh's dad's old greenhouse to our garden before his mum gave it away he's only been dead 7 years Blush

But it does mean we can now add chillis and tomatoes to our garden produce Grin And can get some veg started early to carry us through the "Hungry Month" after 29 March Wink

prettybird · 10/09/2018 19:47

bellini - you'll both be welcome as long as you bring some sloe gin Gin Grin

bellinisurge · 10/09/2018 20:04

Cheers, @prettybird . The coincidence of the hungry months is quite something , isn't it?

1tisILeClerc · 10/09/2018 20:22

@Pretty
There is of course a very fine art to these projects. you mustn't rush them in case you make a mistake, but then need to do it before it rots away completely.
Time for another glass won't hurt it!

durgha · 10/09/2018 20:37

Is it time for a wee song yet?

"I am the very model of a modern mumsnet brexiter,
I gobble local produce and I sneer at Lidl's , Exeter.
I'm strong and stable, smooth and calm, anticipating unicorns ,
I tinkly laugh at preppers hoarding foreign salt and peppercorns.
I'm very well acquainted too, with factoids and fake-newsery,
self-doubt and quiet reflection don't apply to special little me.
Regarding politics, I'm simply teeming with a lot of news,
But busy AIBUing re: the matching of smart bags and shoes.

I'm very good at dodging questions and ignoring evidence,
I hope I earn enough to build a tow'ring brexiteery fence.
In short, although my point of view might shaft us up the shexitter,
I am the very model of a modern mumsnet brexiter."

Hazardswan · 10/09/2018 20:39
