.......would you vote the same as you did originally?

OP posts:
Quietrebel · 23/07/2018 16:21

Yes, the point of the EU was also to have the right foundations in place once that generation (and their memories) had died.

Rosstac · 23/07/2018 16:28

Quietrebel May be they have rushed it a bit with there growth, power grap and no policy on how to deal with immigration,

LoveInTokyo · 23/07/2018 16:37

Or maybe you are just absorbing everything you read in the Daily Fail and vomiting it back out again without engaging in any kind of thought process.

Rosstac · 23/07/2018 16:44

LoveInTokyo You seem to be a very nice person, I can assure I have never read the Daily Mail, unlike people like you as that’s all you seem to know about, reading it to be outraged at, stop reading it if it upsets you,, I know schools out for summer, but shouldn’t you be out playing, I would imagine mummy will be home soon.

LoveInTokyo · 23/07/2018 16:46

Oh well maybe you should read it. I think you’d really like it. And probably can’t make you any more stupid than you already are.

I wonder if certain posters bother engaging with the world, you know like work and other grown up things. Maybe there’s a correlation between house prices and the fact that the rest of the world wants to buy property in the UK. Also people from an ever expanding EU want to come and live here and buy property. No just blame the baby boomers, you know the ones who grew up mostly in poverty.

I wonder if certain posters bother engaging with the world, you know like work and other grown up things.

What’s your question?

Maybe there’s a correlation between house prices and the fact that the rest of the world wants to buy property in the UK. Also people from an ever expanding EU want to come and live here and buy property.

Mostly to do with domestic government policy shoring up house prices, actually. Couldn’t possibly let them fall, that would be very bad for the people who have already accumulated vast wealth and had their mortgages subsidised by savers for the last decade.

No just blame the baby boomers, you know the ones who grew up mostly in poverty.

“Well we had it tough. We used to have to get up out of the shoebox at twelve o'clock at night, and LICK the road clean with our tongues. We had half a handful of freezing cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at the mill for fourpence every six years, and when we got home, our Dad would slice us in two with a bread knife.”

LoveinTokyo do you work? Are you productive in any way.

You really are showing your age (about 2) with your asinine comments now

MimpiDreams · 23/07/2018 17:33

Jeremy Hunt, the new foreign secretary, has just given a speech blaming the entire shit show that is brexit on the EU and said that it'll be a generation before the people of Britain forgive the Europe for what is about the happen to them. I shit you not.

LoveInTokyo · 23/07/2018 17:35

Yes, of course I work. I have a good job and earn more than either of my parents ever have. Their first house (which my dad bought when he was 8 years younger than I am now) is still way out of my reach though.

LoveInTokyo · 23/07/2018 17:38

Mimpi, I was about to say that the British people are not as stupid as Jeremy Hunt thinks they are, but actually... a lot of them really are that stupid unfortunately.

DarlingNikita · 23/07/2018 17:43

Mimpi, is there a report on that with the full text?

TheElementsSong · 23/07/2018 18:13

Golly gosh, some people are getting riled up on this thread, aren't they? Grin

Helmetbymidnight · 23/07/2018 18:15

Are you productive in any way.

What on earth does that mean?

Rosstac · 23/07/2018 18:19

LoveInTokyo So who's fault is it that house prices are out of your reach and why

TheClitterati · 23/07/2018 18:20

I'd remain remain.
And hope that the EU would be so relieved and happy we were staying that it would be much more open to reform - and that reform would be effected with the UK playing a main role in the EU, as it always has done.

TheClitterati · 23/07/2018 18:22

Though if/when we do Brexit (and I think it may be impossible) I am hopeful it would result in the end of the Conservative Party, and I will put on my finest threads and dance happily on its tiresome grave.

LoveInTokyo · 23/07/2018 18:23

It’s the fault of successive governments. Not a few hundred thousand EU citizens, that’s for damn sure.

LoveInTokyo · 23/07/2018 18:24

I am hopeful it would result in the end of the Conservative Party, and I will put on my finest threads and dance happily on its tiresome grave.

And I will gladly join you.

LightAsTheBreeze · 23/07/2018 18:32

Definitely

Rosstac · 23/07/2018 18:33

LoveInTokyo Don't you mean over 3 and a half million EU citizens, who do you think will do so much better in there place ?

Rosstac · 23/07/2018 18:36

TheClitterati if the conservatives don't deliver Brexit it will be the end of them for a good decade, so get your threads ready, But I don't know what better is around, we could do with new parties emerging

Rosstac · 23/07/2018 18:42

LoveInTokyo how is it the fault of successive governments, they don't set house prices, I agree they should of never sold off council houses or should have replaced them every 1 sold build 2

LoveInTokyo · 23/07/2018 18:45

I explained that earlier, if you had bothered to read.

And if you think all the EU citizens living in the UK, right down to the last Polish plumber or Romanian fruit picker or Spanish barista (or even French trainee banker) is a homeowner then you are out of your tree.

Helmetbymidnight · 23/07/2018 18:59

Everything is the fault of the eu. Bow down to the baby boomers who will save you from it. You will be grateful. In 50 years or so.
