They're entirely intended to goad & start a bunfight imo

Absolutely - just can’t be bothered anymore.

LondonMum8 · 08/03/2018 11:13

TBH fellow Remainers I agree with Faith and surferjet's indigenous moaning (bearing in mind the number of occasions on which they contributed posts of similar nature).

At this point we just need to post hard facts and - since these are hardly ever addressed by Leavers - enjoy the popcorn, the tumbleweed, and the gigantic s...show if that's anyone's favourite genre.

LondonMum8 · 08/03/2018 11:16

indigenous->disingenuous. WTF Sony

gussyfinknottle · 08/03/2018 11:44

Despite my condescension and unhelpful sneering, I am genuinely prepared to accept that my Remain vote was wrong and Leave the EU is the right thing to do.
Haven't seen the compelling argument yet.
We do need a tumbleweed emoji.

Cupofteaandtoilet · 08/03/2018 11:59

I am serious and genuine. And I'm sorry if you have explained before, but I have not seen any positives at all.

I would dearly love to be persuaded that Brexit is good. I much prefer being happy to being concerned and pissed off.

If you're unwilling to post perhaps you could message me?

I have asked and asked, in various and numerous places but have had no response (apart from immigration & "unelected", "corrupt", etc.)

I have no interest whatsover in goading you. I want to be able to be happy & get on with my life without having this cloud hovering.

surferjet · 08/03/2018 12:07

Tell me about your childhood......

Cupofteaandtoilet · 08/03/2018 12:30

Nice

Cupofteaandtoilet · 08/03/2018 13:47

Okay, I can't see the relevance, but if it helps...

I was born in Surrey and we moved to Blackheath (London) when I was three. I have 2 brothers and we had various dogs and cats over the years. I enjoyed school and had lovely friends. I have very fond memories of playing on the heath and in Greenwich Park with family, friends and dogs.

We didn't go on many holidays as we didn't have much money; I remember camping trips in Devon and Wales, but that's about all. Our house was noisy, full of laughter and a bit untidy. Food wasn't great as my darling mummy isn't the best cook. I loved horses and went riding whenever I could.

Is that enough?

bearbehind · 08/03/2018 13:59

cupoftea there’s no point in asking what the benefits of Brexit are.

Leavers have never had any and now, despite knowing it’s going to to be costly, painful and result in a worse deal, with less control, they still don’t care.

It defies all logic.

Cupofteaandtoilet · 08/03/2018 14:31

Thanks Bear. Twitter has gone bonkers about the Brexit impact studies:

uk.businessinsider.com/5-charts-secret-brexit-impact-study-damage-threatened-by-leaving-the-eu-2018-3

Had the studies said the reverse I would feel a little happier. I'd still be pissed off but not so concerned.

LondonMum8 · 08/03/2018 14:47

No wonder they tried to keep that stuff under wraps.

mummmy2017 · 08/03/2018 14:54

I see nothing has change in the remain camp.
At what point will you see this is happening. That for all your groaning and tell leave that it's their fault , the PM does intend to proceed .
Oh been the way in the real world no one is talking about any off this. Just spent 10 days and not one person made any mention...

TalkinPeace · 08/03/2018 14:57

Somehow the door needs to be opened to the leave voters - by the leaders of the Leave campaign - to say
"We lied to you. It will not make you better off, please lets us change our minds"
It HAS to come from the leaders of the campaign.
THEY have to eat humble pie
as noting than any Remainer will say can be seen as other than gloating.

mummmy2017 · 08/03/2018 15:06

But they have not lied to us. We knew what would happen. Your seeing this from Your own point of view. This colours your every view on Brexit. What you fail too see is that for lots of people things are already as bad as they can be. Food banks. Rents too high. Child poverty are already a part of many peoples life's. This was already here BEFORE the referendum was even an option. And still you wonder why people voted for a massive change.

TalkinPeace · 08/03/2018 15:10

mummmy
How do you expect Brexit to change

  • food banks
  • housing rents
  • child poverty
Enlighten me
Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 08/03/2018 15:12

What you fail too see is that for lots of people things are already as bad as they can be. Food banks. Rents too high. Child poverty

Oh it can get worse...

gussyfinknottle · 08/03/2018 15:18

Mummy, we know it's happening. This is a Leaver fantasy that we are trying to stop it. We just want to be told how things are going to be improved.

mummmy2017 · 08/03/2018 15:21

I don't know. But I do know that Brexit is going to mean it HAS already started change. Just because your worried about the impact on yor pockets. Means that things will change.

gussyfinknottle · 08/03/2018 15:24

Oh, mummy. Things are going to get so much worse and you really hoped the result would make things better.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 08/03/2018 15:24

Just because your worried about the impact on yor pockets.

Oh im not worried about this at all

Im worried about the people needing food banks and renting...but still whats the worst that can happen to them?

Except foodbanks not being able to cope with demand and rents increasing further obviously

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 08/03/2018 15:27

🙄
The tedious rhetoric of Leave voters as brainwashed children has been done to death.

'We're too scared to admit we were misled - we've seen the light but don't want to lose face - if only our Great Brexit Leaders would speak out in opposition of Brexit, then we could quietly acquiesce'

Is it really so difficult for you to accept that there are grown up, educated women who have a different opinion to you?

mummmy2017 · 08/03/2018 15:29

Gussy your view is very I'm alright Jack.
It may have worried for you but half the voting public didn't like it. There is a massive change in the world. Mass migration, and the EU has not responded well to things, you can't stop change but you can work towards and not always look back.

gussyfinknottle · 08/03/2018 15:32

I'm really not alright, Jack. Or mummy. It is telling that you just want something to change (don't we all) and were/are convinced Brexit would bring it.
Can't see how it will. Being a nihilist- messing stuff up for the hell if it- very dodgy.

mummmy2017 · 08/03/2018 15:37

If you have wanted to do something for as long as you can remember and someone gives you the chance you seize it with both hands. Alright or not this is what will be happening. Every new government is a new start. A new chance for change. Ever what Cornyn wants would cause massive change. Myself and millions are willing to do this. Want to do this. This will change our lives.

gussyfinknottle · 08/03/2018 15:39

Mummy, hope your optimism and naivety is rewarded. For all our sakes.
