No, I actually don't think the UK is racist.

There are racist elements, who are driving many of the problems we're currently facing, but the underlying sentiment isn't racist.

Which is why anyone who is happy to say that it is racist falls on the wrong side of the line IMO.

Agree Faith - it’s one of my bug bears on these threads, we have had for the last 18 months or so people calling out this country for having turned racist and that a vote to leave was a vote for racism and using the fact to shout about it at every and any opportunity. A post is made about the country being racist and those exact same people are up in arms exclaiming that it’s not, what a shocking thing to say etc etc and x y and z country is more racist than us. Pisses me right off. Either you think it is or it isn’t, it’s not just when it suits.

The fact you are persuing this must mean you do think that is the case.

The UK is one of the least racist countries I've ever been to
and MUCH MUCH less racist than the USA

Friends who travel the world A LOT consider it an incredibly tolerant, non racist country.

A proportion of Leave voters are racist but that's not a large proportion of the UK.

Most of the Leave supporters I deal with are not racist.
Some are (one in particular is so rabid that even UKIP kicked him out)
Some of the remain supporters I deal with are racist
but overall, the UK is not racist.
It is very tolerant and inclusive and integrated
sadly Brexit has caused great damage to some of that cohesion
( TBH though I lay more blame at the door of religious segregation in education as that teaches kids to be other )

The U.K. is not a racist country & not a single remainer ever thought it was.
