It hadn't even occurred to me we were a racist country.

Yes there's racist elements but I don't see that as the overriding opinion.

Frumpety - Yep credit where it’s due he is certainly not a giver upper and though it pains me to say, he is looking very good for his age. I can only assume he is in rude health too, would imagine most 80 year olds in very close proximity to a pair of jiggling breasts would more than likely have a heart attack 😀.

Bear, again only anecdotally, the Italians I work with say the U.K. is significantly less racists than Italy.

When looking at a comment like " the U.K. is not the only racist country" it is implicit in that sentence that the U.K. is racist.

Implied meaning, like Point, Evidence, Explanation is grade 4 GCSE stuff. Basic level of understanding for a 16 year old.

I am not required to 'prove you wrong' Bear - to suggest I am is rather an arrogant assertion.

Regardless, let me break this down for you:

I explained the difference earlier in this thread

- where the technology for a virtual border like that needed for NI exists and how it could be deployed in 13 months.

Last thread, I supplied a link to the EU commissioned report, which stated that all the required elements were available, but had never been combined thus far - the NI border would be a new, novel application.
Regardless, I didn't ever say 'could be deployed in 13 months' - that is an addition entirely of your own.

On numerous occasions since June 2016 posters have referred to the Brexit vote & Brexit voters as racist. They have also asserted that the U.K. is a racist country (thus voting for a 'racist' cause).
I cannot however be fucked to search them out for you - but it is rather disingenuous of you to suggest that you have never read any such assertions on MN eu threads.

-CU/CA - saying the difference between 2 things is that one exists and the other doesn't is not the same as speciying 'exactly what the differences are'. You said you knew 'exactly' what the dirrence were.

  • Virtual border- there was absolutely nothing in that article/ report which implied a virtual border in NI was a practical solution. We are leaving the EU in 13 months, of course it's a valid inclusion, and one which was discussed from the very point you raise it. No one is denying the technology possibly could exist in decades, that doesn't help us now.
  • Racist County- you reverting back to every comment ever made on these threads is way more tenuous than saying a poster is racist because they are happy to say the UK is racist

Faith having identified an EU report that stated that all the required technology elements were available for a virtual border, do you think that virtual border could be in place in just less than 13 months - Brexit date, or by the end of the transition/implementation period - currently working on Dec 2020, or is it an unknown?
