Well User as an Irish person let me tell you that the correct name for the country of my birth is Ireland. There is no such place as Eire. However if you were speaking in the Irish language you could correctly use Éire (note accent) which is the Irish language translation.

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:19

Kofa
My American based spellcheck, which I need to often, doesn't do that.
Anyway seeing you don't want my ideas, I won't use either and just won't post about Ireland.

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:26

I am truly sorry to my new found leaver friends
Faith
Surfer
TIme4chocolate and the rest,
I think I have let you down and sound mad and bitter Angry
I am not I feel positive Grin
That you all have given me hope, the WM threads are too intelligent for my CSE's.
I will continue to lurk and may add, odd post, if I can add anything, I doubt, I a mindless leaver now.
Please start the lagoon thread, I would look to do a pub thread with you all, surfer
Thanks to frumpety and agnes nice to talk about the great UK City of Culture.
All have a great Sunday.

Kofa · 11/02/2018 15:28

Bizzare interpretation of what I said User. Let me repeat I asked you not to use Eire when you are speaking about Ireland. That's all. Oh and fyi the É is easily typed by holding down the ctrl and alt button when typing the letter. If on a mobile device you can just hold your finger on the letter and then select from the accented options.

DGRossetti · 11/02/2018 15:30

Or you could just believe there’s a coordinated group of Remain people personally hired by Soros, Blair and Mother Theresa to defeat the sovereign will of less than 35% of registered British voters. Occam’s Razor, right?

Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence.

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 15:31

user, i said your views were in the racist camp after you said you wanted to end FOM because we don't need anymore EU pizza delivery people or car washers.

I didn't find that link unreasonable, clearly you do and have dwelled on that ever since.

I certainly haven't continued saying horrible things to you.

You posting style is not in keeping with the flow of things on here; that's not horrible. It's a fact. No one else discloses every relationship, meeting, day to day activity etc as part of Brexit discussions.

I also don't think it's particularly helpful or appropriate to keep talking about mental health or suicide on here. Those are very delicate subjects not to be bandied about to try and keep the peace.

You have changed allegiance to support the very thing which is driving some people to desperation so it is more than a little ironic that you an condoning me now.

I want to hear how Brexit issues can be resolved and how we can move on, not a load of aspirational clap trap with no basis in reality.

You telling people to play nicely isn't going to wash. It's too diviscive a subject for that. It has too many negative repercussions with seemingly no answers right now.

I agree we need to give each other a wide berth, however I want to discuss Brexit though so I won't be leaving these threads.

I wish you well with your struggles.

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:32

Bear,
Did you vote Conservative at 2015 election?
I didn't because I knew most farmers I know hated the Eu and most of our friends want the Conservatives/ukip to win to vote out.
Did you honestly think remain/in would easily win?
I didn't
So the arrogance of D Cameron and the remain campaign got us here.
So maybe some remainers should have the answers to the problems, just not the leavers

So the arrogance of D Cameron and the remain campaign got us here.

People who didn't vote for Brexit are responsible for it? Strange logic.

So maybe some remainers should have the answers to the problems, just not the leavers

Remainers pointed out the problems before the referendum. Leavers won, so now its time for them to own the problems.

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 15:38

Bear,
Did you vote Conservative at 2015 election?

Yes I did, I've never denied the fact I was most closely aligned with the tories pre-referendum, but I didn't in the 2016 election.

so maybe some remainers should have the answers to the problems, just not the leavers

And that's exactly what I've been trying to do / look for for 18 months. Unfortunately you can't find answers when the other side refuse to acknowledge that there are even questions.

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:43

Driven, I aren't confused, I stated up thread the Eu was 60:40 in favour for me.
I came here neutral,
Saw Mshoolie post, delurked.
Added thoughts,
Called bigoted, racist, xenophobe.
explained thoughts twice was ignored,
Said poster repeat claims, pissed me off',She is a remain flag bearer on here starts 100 of threads.
Now thanks to her, I am 70 % leave and heading to 100%
so no thanks to link,
hth

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 15:47

Now thanks to her, I am 70 % leave and heading to 100%

If your views are that easily swayed they are not exactly entrenched are they? Or based on your actual aspirations.

I also find it interesting you couldn't possibly mention the x, b or r word up thread but just did with no issues.

You appear to be enjoying the drama now user.

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:49

Bear,
Do you mean 2016 referendum you didn't not vote or mistakenly the 2017 GE.
I get not voting then, close to impossible for a remainer, so guess you mean this.
Because only vote in 2016 was Eu one and can't believe you didn't vote in that.
Could you clarify please.

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 15:50

Bugger, sorry, I lost a year- I did mean 2017!

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:52

Bear,
I am sorry, I will change my style of posting,
all I wanted to know.
Sorry I was rude, but Suicidal people scare me
Once again so sorry and I stop my long posting style
HTH

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:54

Bear,
That's fine,
Just couldn't believe such a passionate Eu supporter would have voted.
Just gobsmacked. Blush

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 15:54

No worries user.

I know I can be a bit too direct sometime but I'm very passionate about this subject.

I'm happy to talk about it but until the vows come home but I'm not a big one for small talk! Grin

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 15:55

Just gobsmacked

I'm gobsmacked that we are in 2018- hence the mistake! Grin

surferjet · 11/02/2018 15:56

Thing is Bear, you know we haven’t got the answers you’re looking for. Nobody has. And that’s very frustrating for you of course. But expecting a few people on MN to have ‘all the answers’ is ridiculous isn’t it.....come on.
I know whenever anything terrible happens ( you see leaving the EU as a tragedy ) people want answers, they want reasons, but even when reasons are presented to them they can’t acceot them because they don’t think the reasons are good enough.
This has always been the case with you & all your remainer friends.
Everything we say to you is dismissed as not good enough - so we give up.
Not that we have to provide reasons & answers to remainers. I voted leave because I didn’t want to stay, that’s it’s
You have to find a way to come to terms with leaving the EU because it’s only going to get worse the closer it gets to March 2019.

user1471450935 · 11/02/2018 15:58

Bear,
I am like most people, really wasn't bothered.
The membership of Eu was bottom of my issues in 2015/6/7/8
We voted, I was upset,
Now I can live with it,
Interest rates rising not good Sad
So that's why I am here to discuss
Once again, sorry we started badly,
I'm nice honest

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 16:03

surfer the fact you acknowledge 'nobody has' the answers we need is the very problem.

I am still convinced we are going to end up with BINO because there's no other solution that will work.

I think it's you that might need to come to terms with the fact that leaving the EU is going to look like that and it's actually going to be worse for you not me.

The more Leavers refuse to acknowledge to issues, the more chance they will simply never get resolved.

I predict your victory is going to end up a very hollow one. One where we'll end up with a slightly less good deal than we have now, no reduction in contributions, still abiding but the rules but no say in them and only a marginal reduction in immigration.

Happy for you to argue that I'm wrong, but based on fact not feeling.

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 16:07

user, I think your point there is very valid; the EU wasn't really on mos people's radar pre-referendum.

I guess that's why I find it so astounding that Leavers are prepared to push us over such a cliff edge and end our country to not meltdown over something they weren't ever gag bothered about in reality.

PS- thank you for the apology; I for my part apologise too.

I've fallen out with most Leavers on this thread at varying points but I do value the fact they keep the discussions going.

Bearbehind · 11/02/2018 16:09

There's too many typos in that last post to even begin to correct but you get the idea!

surferjet · 11/02/2018 16:13

Stop worrying about your typos Bear, we’re throwing ourselves off a cliff and couldn’t care less, typos are nothing to us Grin

GhostofFrankGrimes · 11/02/2018 16:14

Thing is Bear, you know we haven’t got the answers you’re looking for. Nobody has.

but, but, but you voted to take back control....Now you don't even have control of your own destiny...
