Wasn't so long ago we could just "roll these over." What has happened to Dotard Fox in the meantime?

time4chocolate · 01/02/2018 09:04

Nuttin wrong with being a nerd. Join the cool kids club.

Well using the word β€œdotard” does remind me of a kids club!

OliviaD68 · 01/02/2018 09:07

@time4chocolate

Nah. It's North Korean. Kim Jong Un speak.

Last I heard, he was having to clarify what he meant when he advised Brexiteers to "be realistic".

I suspect he's preparing for a reverse ferret of some description.

It's probably all th drugs I do Grin but I wonder if there are any Leavers who secretly think some massive sudden world conflict might give them a face-saving out about not being the right time for Brexit.

howabout · 01/02/2018 12:52

London had to laugh at your bloomberg link. France had exactly same performance as UK in migration of high net worth individuals. Looks like Jupiter still has a fair bit more Davos convincing to work on. Grin

LondonMum8 · 01/02/2018 13:16

@howabout France has had this problem for a while. Remember Gepardieu emigrating to Russia? It's been bad. Now London is just as bad.

LondonMum8 · 01/02/2018 13:18

Still laughing?

LondonMum8 · 01/02/2018 13:44

Anyway, since you enjoyed my Bloomberg link, please help yourself to another one:

www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2018-02-01/brexit-politics-goes-from-bad-to-worse

One of the comments is particularly amusing thus worth quoting in full for our enjoyment:

"Bloomberg continues its anti british propaganda. Theresa may is strong and stable, she's hugely popular. She's an icone for girls around the world. Brexit is a huge success with many german banks relocating to the uk. Merkel is weak and unstable, the world hates her because of her pro-migrant policies, in particular in the middle east and asia. Germany and the EU are almost bankrupt, unemployment in ireland is at all time high. that's why the irish hate the uk so much: pure jealousy"

LOL

CardinalSin · 01/02/2018 14:14

Wow! That level of delusion takes either an awful lot of work, or hypnosis!

OliviaD68 · 02/02/2018 11:56

How about drugs? LSD could do it. Tangerine flowers of yellow and green kinda stuff. Plastercine porters ... unicorns etc.

LondonMum8 · 02/02/2018 12:39

Hahaha, more fun on the Brexit Farms today: Bloomberg reports Farage would like Ireland to leave the EU :)

howabout · 02/02/2018 14:39

Not sure Depardieu is much loss to France. Gerard Butler otoh. I rest my case Smile

AgnesSkinner · 02/02/2018 15:39

Do you and Gerard share an alma mater by any chance howabout?

howabout · 02/02/2018 15:44

We do indeed Agnes (along with Nippy). Just told DH he was 2 years behind me at Uni and he said "who's Gerard Butler". Being half French / half Londoner DH has an ego twice the size of Jupiter and Depardieu put together.

AgnesSkinner · 02/02/2018 15:52

Saying β€œwho’s Gerard Butler” is surely grounds for divorce?

howabout · 02/02/2018 16:00

Kinda makes up for me pointing out Michelle Pfeiffer is ageing. Grin

OliviaD68 · 02/02/2018 18:16

Feels like we should be asking who John Galt is ... this Brexit and Trump nonsense really feels like a Ayn Rand.

OliviaD68 · 03/02/2018 08:01

yougov poll

46 to 40 wrong to leave the EU.

LondonMum8 · 03/02/2018 08:47

Oh no, the British people can still reason and change their opinions... Quick, let's ramp up anti-EU and anti-immigration rhetoric in the Heil!

OliviaD68 · 03/02/2018 10:44

It could just be statistical noise. 6 points is not massive in any case. But there does appear to be a trend.

mummmy2017 · 03/02/2018 12:16

There isn't going to be a rerun.
Did you not hear the interview from the PM yesterday.
It's like knocking your head against a brick wall with you lot in here...

We are leaving, it's just how and what happens.

OliviaD68 · 03/02/2018 12:32

@mummmy2017

That is a matter of opinion. The facts are in your favour but there are realistic paths leading to remaining.

You seem so emotionally attached to Leaving.

What will happen to your world if we don't leave?

What will you do?

mummmy2017 · 03/02/2018 12:45

It's not emotion, it's to do with a vote being disregarded by yourself.

it's like you can't accept it and are just hoping it's stopped.

The EU have said we could remain, but even they know we are going.

I don't have to do anything, as thankfully the MP's voted to move it forward knowing to not do so would be the biggest slap in the face to the people who voted them in to their jobs. The trust would be gone.
If the lords block this, then I see trouble ahead in that place as well.
