Does anyone actually care about blue passports?

Especially given that we were always perfectly free to opt for blue if people if people were that desperate?

For the record I don’t give a shiny s**t what colour my passport is.

I'd be much more worried about what I could do with it ...

Corcory · 29/12/2017 14:56

It's nothing to do with the subject matter being discussed solely by MNers Deep. I was talking about the reactions on this and other treads on MN.
Faith has already repeated my original post which was posted after I read two posts one from Ifailed and Flomper.

26/12 9.40.32 Ifailed wrote " They were black but don't you dare say that or you'll have some leaver calling you a traitor and demanding your head on a spike outside the Tower of London".

At 9.42.44 on the same day Flomper said " bring it on. I've got a thing or two to say to leavers and enjoy making them try and defend what they know now but can't do as it was a mistaken position based on ingrained and possibly subconscious racism".

That is an example of what I was reacting to. Nothing at all to do with what was being said in the daily mail or any other media but what was being said on MN.

FaithHope, is there any chance at all of you packing in the attempts to deflect the discussion and engaging with the original issue?

I've kept my last 'blue' passport. It's black. It's clearly, obviously BLACK.

BeyondAssignation · 29/12/2017 17:04

Looking forward to saving loads of money by adding my DCs onto my nostalgic blue passport.

Though i am still disappointed that a red, white and blue Brexit doesn't come with a red, white and blue passport. :(

Confused

I did.
I said that I am a leave voter, and that I couldn't give a wank about the colour, contrary to the numerous assertions that Leavers are creaming their pants over the change.

It can come in whatever colour HMG want it to. It could always have come in any colour HMG wanted it to. Brexit or no.

The whole fuss thing is designed to hide that fact. Like a lot of things we are encouraged to blame on "the EU", it turns out that it's actually the UKs spiffing wheeze all along.

lljkk · 30/12/2017 00:09

How extremely vulgar of Faith&Desperation.

Listen to prominent Leaver Daniel Hannan gush about blue passports in 2016, here.

AgnesSkinner · 30/12/2017 10:52

And there is at least one MN Leaver who has said more than once on threads how delighted they are to get blue passports and that they will be “changing that [EU] fucker” as soon as they can.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 30/12/2017 11:44

At least one who has said that phrase more than once? Or one?

Eu threads never disappoint in use of hyperbole.

AgnesSkinner · 30/12/2017 12:25

One Leaver that has said that on at least two different MN threads.

Not hyperbole, just a fact in response to those on this thread saying that they hadn’t seen any Leaver on MN getting worked up about the colour of passports.

You don’t have to look very hard to find those comments either.

MsHooliesCardigan · 30/12/2017 17:23

Agnes I replied to the PP who was talking about not being able to wait to get rid of ‘that fucker’ (EU Passport). They didn’t reply.

InfiniteSheldon · 30/12/2017 17:31

That was me not sure what you asked me but the reason I didn't reply would be Christmas Xmas Grin either that or you ascribed words/feelings/statements) generalisations to me that I didn't make it state so felt no need to reply.

InfiniteSheldon · 30/12/2017 17:39

Random it state there

frumpety · 22/01/2018 20:53

I don't have a passport as I believe it is absolutely traitorous to travel outside the UK , we have lots of lovely places where people can holiday and sometimes it gets quite warm . There is no need to travel for business either , this proud and noble land is going to be totally self sufficient post Brexit and all ( any ?) foreign business that remain can jolly well stop with the needing to go overseas for anything nonsense. And anyone who has relatives who live anywhere other than this new super duper sovereign state , well they should be getting on planes and trains and ferries and making their way over here to see you , otherwise the lot of you are almost certainly traitors.
