Where have all the Brexiters gone?

Just that really. 52% voted to leave. I know Mumsnet isn't completely representative of the electorate but you would expect at least a few people to be banging the Brexit drum. The ones that were quite vocal seem to have lost their voice. Perhaps they're just bored with the whole thing but their silence really is deafening.

I never used the word traitor, however, how would you usually describe people who offer support to a foreign power intent on doing us economic harm?
In a rare moment of self awareness, when you sober up, you might consider including yourself in those described by your user name.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 16/10/2017 20:09

So if this isn't calling people a traitor then I don't know what is.
By the way I'm not drunk.
And it's 'the EU' not 'a EU'.
I mean if we're being petty and all that...

If you miss the middle of that sentence out I'd describe them as Leaver voters; 'people who are intent on doing us economic harm'

Theworldisfullofidiots · 16/10/2017 20:11

And if you are talking about people causing economic harm to this country you might want to look closer to home.

Redactio · 16/10/2017 20:15

Theworldetc.
The use of the term " a EU" is correct in the context. You may not be aware of this, but it has always been considered a bit naff on MN to pick people up on grammar and spelling. Usually those who do so realise that they have lost the argument.

frumpety · 16/10/2017 20:15

Redactico I do hope you are including Russia , America , New Zealand and Australia amongst that number of foreign powers . Russia is all Mwhahahhahahahah about Brexit and the others ain't happy about sharing quotas WTO stylee in the EU , because you know they think their country is more important than ours Shock

Theworldisfullofidiots · 16/10/2017 20:17

It's probably a bit naff to call people fifth columnists as well.

I've been very well Rufus thank you! How are you, hope the hurricane hasn't affected you?

Do we suppose that weirdness is done with?

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 16/10/2017 21:32

I dont think the hurricane is affecting us , down south so its just windy

Thats orange sky was bloomin weird though

RandomlyGenerated · 16/10/2017 21:41

We were walking in the woods this afternoon when the sky went weird, all yellowy - the owls started hooting because it was so like twilight.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 16/10/2017 21:42

Its been strangely warm as well

I was walking round the village in a t shirt

TheElementsSong · 16/10/2017 22:07

It was very warm and sunny this afternoon! The wind has really picked up now though, not sure how I’m going to sleep through the howling racket tonight.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 16/10/2017 22:10

Well, try and have a good night elements Smile
