Where have all the Brexiters gone?

Just that really. 52% voted to leave. I know Mumsnet isn't completely representative of the electorate but you would expect at least a few people to be banging the Brexit drum. The ones that were quite vocal seem to have lost their voice. Perhaps they're just bored with the whole thing but their silence really is deafening.

Do they need to keep banging the Brexit drum, the referendum is over?

Try telling that to the majority of people on here.............

Carolinesbeanies · 16/10/2017 16:44

You mentioned the bus........ again.

Peregrina · 16/10/2017 16:51

You mentioned the bus........ again.

No reason not to - it was the one tangible statement. Since health spending is within the control of Westminster and not the EU, it should be one commitment which is relatively easy to implement. Money would have to be found, but the magic money tree was found to bribe the DUP.

Bearbehind · 16/10/2017 16:59

Not one choice we can do, and the other, well actually we cant.

caroline there a huge difference between it not being possible to leave and it not being possible to leave on the terms we want

Why are you ignoring that fact?

Is it for any reason other than it doesn't fit with your 'the EU are being unreasonable' rhetoric?

Also interesting that wisedad never did come back to explain his sovereignty point.

M4Dad · 16/10/2017 17:03

He probably couldn't be arsed. I don't blame him.

Peregrina · 16/10/2017 17:04

I would further argue that since the public do value the NHS, that had May been seen to find the money for it, not patronise about 'No magic money tree' she might have been able to hang onto her majority.

M4Dad · 16/10/2017 17:06

but hey.... being called a rascist xenophobic ill-educated cunt does get wearing, especially when called that by people who think they are so tolerant of the views of others

Totally agree with you there.

Imonlyfuckinghuman · 16/10/2017 17:10

No need to bang the drum as we're leaving.

It's done with

Bearbehind · 16/10/2017 17:20

This perfectly demonstrates why we are in the mess we're in- I struggle to comprehend how people can think like this,

M4Dad · 16/10/2017 17:23

here we go again.............

WiseDad · 16/10/2017 17:24

Sort of but it is rather complex and needs to be distilled into simple language for those hard of rationale thinking. Also I simply don't have the time right now. Family->work->me->friends->mumsnet argument
Is the hierarchy.

Basically they say sovereignty remains as we can leave, but the Remain argument is that sovereignty remains but we can't afford to leave. You can see the issue there yourselves. Then there is the quality of the first assertion to tackle.

Bearbehind · 16/10/2017 17:24

Not at all m4, it's literally pointless persuing comments like that any further.

WiseDad · 16/10/2017 17:25

And the interesting argument about people vs parliament and who represents whom in law and in practice.

frumpety · 16/10/2017 17:26

Howabout thank you for the links to the information , will have a gander at it once I have got two good eyes again Smile

Bearbehind · 16/10/2017 17:26

So just a bit more patronising drivel the wisedad Hmm

Stick with your 'life things'

M4Dad · 16/10/2017 17:27

I think he's trying to, you keep mentioning his name and calling things "suspicious"

woman11017 · 16/10/2017 17:35

Top tips for busy dads.

Working husband & father? Feeling overwhelmed? YOUR FAULT. Drink more water, put another wash on and dress in your 'wow' colours.

Bearbehind · 16/10/2017 18:04

m4 are you just making things up as you go along? Where on earth have I used the word 'suspicious'?

This thread is a bit pointless now; it's clear Leavers are just continuing to spout their rhetoric and don't bother responding when people question their comments.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 16/10/2017 18:53

bearbehind that's why I left.
I keep wondering how long it will take them to realise we are losers now.

surferjet · 16/10/2017 19:21

These threads were a bit pointless the day after the referendum tbh.

We’re leaving the EU & that’s it.

frumpety · 16/10/2017 19:25

Rates strategists and their nefarious ways Grin

Redactio · 16/10/2017 19:30

The remain argument was lost in June 2016. Since then the remainers have acted as 5th columnists for a EU that has no intention of negotiating.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 16/10/2017 19:38

5th columnists for a EU
Love being called a traitor.
Has it every occurred to you that lots of people are just unhappy and don't feel listened to by a government of poor leaders and if you actually wanted some cohesion a little sympathy wouldn't go amiss.
Quite a lot of the people who are unhappy also voted leave.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 16/10/2017 19:42

Sorry Redactio I forgot myself. You like Trump and think that Guantamano bay was a good thing.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 16/10/2017 19:44

5th columnists for a EU

Fucking pathetic Grin
