It seems not many people have?

OP posts:

Oh and I think Boris Johnson is a wanker of the highest order. HTH.

BoneyBackJefferson · 20/09/2017 20:48

Bearbehind

What did the remain campaign do to encourage people to vote the "right way".

They condemned those that dared to vote the other way as racists and xenophobes, as ignorant and thick.

The remain campaign didn't try and actively put forward any reasoned points until they realised that they were in trouble.

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 20:51

slamming leave voters as being worse than shit

Please show me where I've said that.

Resorting to insults in lieu of answers is another tried and tested Leaver MO.

The £350m was quickly debunked

So why is BJ still quoting it and aren't Leavers questioning the fact he is?

MichaelFabricantsHair · 20/09/2017 20:56

No, it's MY MO.

Why don't you ask Boris or email your local MP? Why the hell would I know what motivates Boris to open his mouth and let nonsensical gubbins spill forth? He's made a career out of it, it's hardly breaking news.

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 20:56

Where a bit beyond what the campaigns did or didn't do though boney

If people couldn't see beyond the propaganda then that's their shortfall.

The problem is, the propaganda means nothing now- it will deliver nothing.

I still haven't seen anything that shows what this elusive 'gain' of leaving is going to be.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 20/09/2017 21:10

surfer can say what she likes on an anonymous forum for adults and unless it's beyond the pale then I for one couldn't give a ha'penny jizz what it is. If I trawled the internet looking for leave voters comments that I disagreed with, with view to policing them, then I'd be a very busy woman. Ain't got time nor the inclination for that shit.

Well surely thats the same for bear as well

Its a good attitude to have to be fair

GhostofFrankGrimes · 20/09/2017 21:12

You are so self-righteous at times; slamming leave voters as being worse than shit when you were quite happy to fuck the poor, sick and disabled over with austerity on steroids, inhumane health assessments and cruel sanctions. Go polish your halo if you're at a loose end.

Sorry, I don't follow this, surely its Tory voters who support austerity. Didn't Tory voters predominantly vote leave?

They condemned those that dared to vote the other way as racists and xenophobes, as ignorant and thick.

TBH, when your campaign includes the infamous "breaking point" poster you've lost the xenophobia argument.

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 21:16

ghost, michael is throwing the fact I was previously a Tory voter in my face.

Apparently it's better to do that than provide a coherent argument as to why BJ is bandying around the £350m again.

BoneyBackJefferson · 20/09/2017 21:16

Bearbehind

If we are beyond campaigns why bring up the £350 million?

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 21:17

Er.........because Boris Johnson did a few days ago?

BoneyBackJefferson · 20/09/2017 21:19

GhostofFrankGrimes

TBH, when your campaign includes the infamous "breaking point" poster you've lost the xenophobia argument.

Only if you are promoting stereotypes.

BoneyBackJefferson · 20/09/2017 21:19

Er.........because Boris Johnson did a few days ago?

Fair enough.

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 21:21

Lol boney Grin

MichaelFabricantsHair · 20/09/2017 21:21

Bear has stated in the past she was a Conservative voter Frank. Which is why I find her supercilious barbs aimed at all leave voters a bit grating.

Rufus I was responding to Bear's Armchair Psychologist insight into the way leave voters think and behave; we are all One Mind.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 20/09/2017 21:24

Only if you are promoting stereotypes.

I must have imagined the poster then. And the race hate crimes. Not all leavers are xenophobes but given the nastiness in our society since the referendum the Brexit "look" isn't exactly appealing to be associated with is it?

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 21:26

michael like it or not, BJ was the face of Leave- he is representing you.

You are no better than me for previously voting Tory.

You shared his values at a point in time.

I pointed out Leavers, in general, are not questioning anything that's happening, certainly not in public anyway.

If you either can't or won't question why the £350m is even back on the radar when you know it's been thoroughly debunked, how does that prove me wrong.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 20/09/2017 21:27

Yes michael

But apparently it was ok when surfer did the same

MichaelFabricantsHair · 20/09/2017 21:28

Christ on a bike Bear do you want me to write a thesis on Boris Johnson and his inane ramblings?

What kind of cohesive argument do you expect from someone like me? I'm not university educated, I'm not rich, I'm not important, I'm not a politician, I'm not even healthy ffs, I'm just a frazzled mum of 3 kids getting by in this life. Why on earth are you looking to me to answer your questions about what motivates Boris Johnson?

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 21:32

To be fair michael, I don't expect you to answer.

You're actually one of the more rational Leavers round here.

My point is, Leavers generally aren't questioning what's happening anywhere near as much as they should be.

They are being represented by the likes of BJ who are talking complete and utter bollocks.

That's infinitely more defendable that surfers assertion that Remainers are actually all annoyed because we can no longer exploit foreign labour isn't it?

MichaelFabricantsHair · 20/09/2017 21:39

If I had to have a guess, I'd say Boris felt he could position himself as a credible leader after the disastrous general election and piss poor Brexit negotiations. Perhaps he knows that there seems to be a general apathy amongst the general public with regards to Brexit and he was wanting to engage our attention again? Or maybe he decided to roll with the fact he's a blatant liar and carry on hoping no one will notice.

In short, fuck knows Grin

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 20/09/2017 21:40

Would agree (a bit) with bear

I enjoy reading your posts michael...you sound lovely

MichaelFabricantsHair · 20/09/2017 21:43

I haven't been lovely this week Rufus. I was rude to histiny yesterday and I've launched full throttle at Bear today. Sorry Bear Flowers

I'm not normally such an arse, just had a crap week, which is no excuse.

Bearbehind · 20/09/2017 21:45

But if the only way you can get people's attention is by promising unicorns and rainbows then you're destined to fail michael

To be fooled be that lie once is unfortunate. To not question it when it comes up again is down right stupid.

And I don't mean you specifically, I mean the fact there hasn't been an outcry that it's even back in conversation.

It proves my point about the lack of questioning on behalf of Leavers in general.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 20/09/2017 21:45

michael

I feel your pain.....i was told i was snappy today Sad

'Sides i think everyone else thinks you sound lovely as well Grin

surferjet · 20/09/2017 21:46

I agree, you are lovely MichaelFabricantsHair
