But that's just it most countries are all still in trouble
And France did get a rebate check it up.

Italy has all the refugees to deal with.
France is going to have trouble with the farmers.
Spain is having trouble about tourism, and it gets a lot of money from this source.
Portugal has recovered. was due to cuts in spending, but will give you that one.

And all still have the continuing refugees cost to deal with, which hasn't stoppped it just seems to move along the coasts of all these countries.
Greece could still default, and cause trouble to ripple across the EU.
The EU is not perfect. It also still has the expenses scandal to break on it's head.

Bananagio · 16/08/2017 20:54

And if the EU is so bad why aren't all those countries rushing to follow us and why has every vote since brexit in the EU countries been against the anti EU parties. Maybe because there is an understanding that while the EU is far from perfect it is not responsible for everything that isn't working in individual countries! mummmy is there anything bad in the Uk which you don't believe is down to the Big Bad EU Hmm?

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 20:57

Spain has trouble with tourists? Again not an EU issue.

Same with Italy and refugees.

France even with its rebate, was still at net contributor to the EU ( funny we get a rebate too).

Greece could default, but that is to do with decisions taken at national level, without the EU Greece would be in a lot worse position.

France, Spain, Portugal etc all have higher economic growth than we do, but you describe them as being "in trouble".

Aww Faith, we're all bullies are we?

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 20:57

FaithHopeCharityDesperation
In their world here they can pretend that this EU vote doesn't count.
While we watch it progress each day.
Each comment I make they say is disproved, that I am wrong to simple in my views, but as you say it's done and we leave.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 21:04

You watch progress?

Hilarious. There is no progress, and for all the bluster nothing has changed so far.

Your problem is every point you make is not to do with the EU, yet you voted out of the EU to change it.

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 21:11

Every point is a valid point to me, as to why I voted out.
So what if they are reasons you think are wrong. they are still reasons why myself and lots of people voted to get out.
The reasons meant the UK leave.
I hope your sense of being right makes up for the fact we voted out.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 16/08/2017 21:14

Its almost as if Brexiters don't watch the daily news items on just how much of mess the government are making. The leave claims are debunked daily - from the 350 mil for the NHS to controlling borders. Still the Brexit cult convince themselves it'll all be good in the end and their dreams will come true.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 21:15

So you voted out on reasons that are nothing to do with the EU and hope for them to change?

See it always come back to this, snivelling, pathetic response: " haha we voted out, you lost."

You can't justify your reasons well or even describe what you want from the future, and how being out will benefit you, so you resort to a play ground taunt.

So what? You have voted to make things worse for you and your children, you will have to live with that when they ask you why you made their life chances worse.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/08/2017 21:20

Aww Faith, we're all bullies are we?

Perhaps it's one too many glasses of 'dark & stormy' bringing out the nasty?

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 21:22

But all you do here is attack , attack , attack.
Even when loads of us offer ideas, you attack.
You can;t seem to get over how right you are and how wrong we are in your view.
I have justified what I feel and why I voted while you jump up and down scoring points in your heads, and don't face the facts that are slapping you in the face with the cold wet fish we will draw from out of own seas, with the rights that we regain.
Dream your dreams of maybes and wishful thinking, of faint ideas of in name only,
Because the truth isn't too your liking is it.
Remain just couldn't hold the line, and are finding it hard to deal with.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 16/08/2017 21:24

Dream your dreams of maybes and wishful thinking, of faint ideas of in name only

tbf, this sums up Brexit perfectly.

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 21:25

Cult of Remain you mean,,,,
a system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object.
Cos you lot are the worse cult on here.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 21:25

Would those be the seas that the other countries will still be fishing in, according to the Minister in charge of fishing and agriculture?

The truth is that you can't handle proper critique of your actions, nor can you justify them. We are in a democracy and this is a forum for debate.

The anti EU groups spent 41 years complaing about the EU and its predecessors, its why we got a referendum, yet you want everyone to shut up and do what you tell them?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 16/08/2017 21:27

a system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object.

Farage?

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 21:35

No not to shut up, to accept this is happening.
That your time to stop this was last year not 12 months after the event.
If someone spends 41 years complaining, you wonder why when we got the vote we used it.
Nar Farage is a fool.
You are debating a dead issue.
You need to move forward and engage in a different way, this way didn't work, find away forward to further your desires.
Because in 5 years you could still be here saying the same thing and still have the same results, Nothing.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 21:35

Is it suprising that there are a lot of remainers on MN?

It tends to be populated by people of certain socio economic groups and education levels that were far more likely to vote remain.

Maybe nethuns is where you find your level.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 21:37

Not debating a dead issue, debating the issue of the day, the biggest change in the UK in most people's living memory.

Now, we can debate what we'd like to see, but all that you have outlined is that you want changes that voting to leave the EU will not bring about.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 16/08/2017 21:38

You need to move forward and engage in a different way, this way didn't work,

What like telling the truth that Brexit would damage the economy and that the NI situation might be er, complicated?

Mummy your posts simply read as "we won, you lost".

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 21:39

It tends to be populated by people of certain socio economic groups and education levels that were far more likely to vote remain.

Oh you fool to be so proud of something that means your so out of touch with reality that you lose and spend the next year being upset you lost.

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 21:41

And yours all read we lost, we don't like it.

TheElementsSong · 16/08/2017 21:41

Dear. God.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 21:41

I'm out of touch with reality?

Mensa you have spent all day explaining why the EU is bad, but not actually identified one problem that was caused by EU membership.

Its true about Mumsnet's usership, they do tend to be of a certain education level and socio ecoomic group staus, they also tend o be in certain age groups, al of which were more likely to vote remain.

Its why they had to pay posters to come here to post for LEAVE.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 16/08/2017 21:43

Politics did not end in June 2016 Mummy. You may not have noticed but there is still alot of work to do wrt Brexit.

I would say brexiters are out of touch they certainly didn't understand Northern Ireland and border control.

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 21:51

Woop de du dar, your so up yourself, it's funny.
Tell me why you left you say.
Explain why, so you can tear me down, you do realize that in being like this and patting yourselfs on the back over what you write here, in RL people will sit and shake their heads at you behind your back as the world marches on and leaves you behind.
12 months has past and still it comes to pass that on here you get to pretend your views will change things, that;s deluded.
Your not debating your flogging a dead cat.

Bearbehind · 16/08/2017 21:58

mummy is there any chance you might answer my question about why you're perfectly happy for us to waste time with this fantasy that we can stay in the SM for a few years after March 2019 rather than focusing on negotiating our WTO terms from that point on?
