Which bit of 27 countries won't agree is hard to understand?
What is the result if they don't agree. Please can you answer me as to what you think will happen when any deal is declined by this lot?

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 22:07

They often agree on other things though mummy.

Bearbehind · 16/08/2017 22:09

Really mummy could you try a bit harder to understand my question.

If you're so convinced it's pointless trying to negiotate with 27 countries why aren't you annoyed we're even trying?

I'll ignore the fact that negioting with 160 odd countries is much harder for the purposes of this question

time4chocolate · 16/08/2017 22:12

FFS is all I can be bothered with.

Mummy - this thread once again is playing out like ALL the others. Faith summed it up nicely 'This is what they do, blow the whistle, assemble the clique & gang up on one poster - nasty bullies one & all 'tis boring, circular and a tad pathetic in my opinion.

I'm putting a nice selection of grips behind the bar if anyone wants one - because I am a nice person they are free so just help yourself!

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/08/2017 22:13

*Is it suprising that there are a lot of remainers on MN?

It tends to be populated by people of certain socio economic groups and education levels that were far more likely to vote remain.

Maybe nethuns is where you find your level.*

Sanctimony, imperiousness & arrogance all neatly wrapped up in one smug little post.

You are spoiling us!

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 22:14

I thought right now it was Pay up or no talks from the EU.
We won't pay so I don't think there is anything to talk about.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/08/2017 22:15

X-post with time4 Wine

It's horrible watching a pack of grown women ganging up on one person.

Bearbehind · 16/08/2017 22:19

faith and time if you opened you're eyes you'd see that mummy has been far more goading, rude and provactive on here than anyone else.

It's simply impossible to discuss this problem with people who just can't, or won't, see the reality of this situation and instead are basing their thoughts on some deluded notion that the EU you have is the root of all evil and we are a great nation that everyone needs to trade with.

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 22:22

Faith don't worry I put my big girl pants on.
As I told my kids you can shout at me as much as you like, but if your wrong it won't worry me.
I do wonder at the boast of we are all better educated here so we voted remain.
When it means they refuse to accept equally well educated people voted to leave.
The country as a whole was split on this issue, even family and friends were split on this issue, and as leavers we know had the remain put in a bit more effort they should have won.
Most of us went to sleep thinking they had won.

howabout · 16/08/2017 22:22

Not sure grown women is the description I would use Wine

For anyone bored on t'internet with severe inexplicable chip on the shoulder here is the link to the MENSA quick test. However if you need all the whys and wherefores behind every question explaining ad infinitum it may not provide the relief you seek Gin

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 22:24

We are all fine thank you for asking.

Pleased you recognise the majority vote - in the 'all' you so accurately describe. And also the many additional wise souls that have watched with horror the disgraceful conduct of the EU, and are now supporting our country.

I was a 'on the fence' voter, making the decision in the end for my children/ grandchildren. They have a right to democracy - and an accountable parliament and Supreme Court. Whatever the short term economic consequences ( that we are yet to see, and may never) I am still very happy with my decision.

The quietness on the thread is called peace. We don't need to fight or argue anymore the decision has been made

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 22:25

"We won't pay so I don't think there is anything to talk about.

That would be the bill where we are thought to be willing to start negotiating at £30bn. There is no "we won't pay", we certainly will.

Nasty bullies?

"Sanctimony, imperiousness & arrogance all neatly wrapped up in one smug little post."

No, factual, Mumsnet is mainly populated by people in certain economic groups, levels of education, and age. All of which mostly voted to remain, which explains why they are more common here.

Bearbehind · 16/08/2017 22:25

We won't pay so I don't think there is anything to talk about.

So why aren't you bothered that that is exactly what we're wasting time doing- trying to talk and agree a free trade deal that is essentially the same as we have now when you know it's not going to happen?

Bearbehind · 16/08/2017 22:27

littlebird you might want to RTFT before posting.

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 22:30

I was responding to the original post thank you. I am not getting involved in petty arguements but thanks for noticing

Bearbehind · 16/08/2017 22:33

Quite telling really- someone who voted Leave that reads the first post and ignores the next 500+ Hmm

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 22:33

Because worrying or being cross over something that nothing I at this point will influence is a waste of energy.
I truly believe that there will be no deal, have always though this, due to the needs and wants of each country being to great to allow an agreement.
I think we will express a view be told no.
Then at some point the EU will realise that they have no hold over us, and the FOM can't be done, so the deal won't work. Then what will they do.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 22:33

I love how brexit, and the shambles it is appearing to be , is now being blamed upon the remain campaign.

Brexit, is and was, tomorrow disguised as yesterday, but its a yesterday we never had. It was a chance for people to vote for change, but not to change the things that they wanted to change. It was a victory for the ordinary man, yet led and backed by an uber elite of people for whom the removal of EU regulations will be very profitable, at the expense of the common man. It was regaining sovereignty, which we never lost, to make the same concessions with other countries.

Essentially its the opposite of everything that it sold its self to be.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 22:35

Also blaming the remain campaign absolves you from the folly of your decision. Brexit was all about taking back control, but once you have control you can't blame anyone else, so now you want it to be someone else's fault.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/08/2017 22:39

Woohoo!
I scored 94% (17/18)

Pissed off that I dropped a mark though 😮

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 22:39

Bear - astounding arrogance - simply spoiling for a fight. Like the last sad chancer in town when everyone else else has left the room.
I am checking out. As have most of the thread. Get over it, get some counselling. Open your god damn eyes. We are going to be an independent Great Britain again - not you - not I, no one can change it. Embrace and feel some optimism. Or book an app with the gp/ shrink

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 22:41

But I am not blaming anyone else, I am here holding my hand in the air annoying the heck out of you saying I voted out and and so dam proud to say I did.
I am willing to take what ever pain, or cost as I feel with all my heart this was the best thing I could do to have a country who can be proud once more, and thrive.

Bearbehind · 16/08/2017 22:42

We are going to be an independent Great Britain again

And you think I am arrogant!

PMSL

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 22:42

Here here Mummy!
As did most of the other leave voters.
