Just to be crystal clear. The EU are willing to 'deal' over the cost of the divorce. Thats it. The 'negotiations' are whether we pay 60 billion euros.....or manage to negotiate a better price. Thats it.

Never never never have the EU council put the four 'freedoms' on the negotiation table, and they never will. The survival of the EU bloc depends on it.

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:30

Talking of farage, he is thinking of coming back, isn't he? I wonder why on earth he feels the need?

I've heard he's coming back to campaign for Remain WinkGrin

surferjet · 11/06/2017 18:32

crystal clear - think we'll have that as a new pub cocktail.

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:34

Exactly Caroline!

I can't understand why people still haver on about hard & soft Brexit etc
It's just Brexit, that's it.

If we want no FoM, then we have no single market.

(Although for some reason John McDonnell & Labour are still adamant that Brexit should deliver 'tariff free access to single market & no FoM' - how he expects that to be in any way believed as achievable is beyond me).

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:36

I quite like the sound of a crystal clear, surfer Grin
It sounds refreshing!!

histinyhandsarefrozen · 11/06/2017 18:44

why do you think it is crystal clear that the country is not behind brexit?

Where did I say that?

You may have seen The election As a referendum on brexit.
Many did not.
You are just making assumptions about why people voted. Assumptions are not 'crystal clear'.

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:45

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:47

You are just making assumptions about why people voted.

I don't make any assumptions about why people voted.

In fact, I do believe I agreed with "I think most people's voting reasons will be nuanced" on this very thread!! GrinGrin

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:48

You may have seen The election As a referendum on brexit.

I didn't.

InfiniteSheldon · 11/06/2017 18:52

I think this election result shows the country isn't fully behind anything
Hard Brexit; no TM would have more if a majority
Second Ref/cancel Brexit: nope no interest or Libdems would have seen better results
Continued Austerity: nope Cons falling at each hurdle here
Corbyns promises: not enough believers in the magic money tree

I actually think it's a reasonable result no one has really won, no one has lost. No mandate for a hard Brexit, no mandate for high levels of austerity politics, no wish for a Labour Government. TM forced to get into bed with the DUP whilst Corbynistas ignore his terrorist sympathies.

You couldn't make it up.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 11/06/2017 18:56

ok so when we say crystal clear in the brexit arms we mean 'no way to accurately gauge'.

Now I understand! Grin

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:58

It's a result which is very representative of the country at the mo, definitely.

Everybody is monumentally fucked off, but nobody has come up with the answer on how to fix it yet.

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 18:59

Now you're starting to get the Brexit Arms thought processes....!!

VIPissArtist · 11/06/2017 19:52

Infinite I am not so sure - I was quite complacent about my vote I felt pleased with TM stance on Brexit I thought it was all sorted I almost didnt vote Shock...but felt I should just in case.

Maybe thats how other people felt....But what is crystal clear is that they did not vote for referendum x 2 a la lib dems.

Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 20:56

Something to bond over....

The Dirty Dancing remake is AWFUL Angry

Poor Patrick's memory has been sullied by this monstrosity.

surferjet · 11/06/2017 21:42

Who needs Patrick when we have Michael.

The Brexit Arms
Charmageddon · 11/06/2017 22:51

Nobody puts Michael in the corner!!

Badders123 · 12/06/2017 16:15

News today...
EU nursing applications down 96%
Yes thats not a typo
96%
UK.appliactions down due to bursary removal
I do hope no brexiter needs the nhs any time soon....

Badders123 · 12/06/2017 16:16

Oh!
It'll be all those immigrants ahead of you in the queue wont it!?
That's why your op will be cancelled...not the nursing or dr shortage....

time4chocolate · 12/06/2017 16:36

On other news today on the BBC:
The DUP were the most Eurosceptic party in the U.K.until very recently when UKIP took the top spot 😮

Charmageddon · 12/06/2017 18:11

In other news...

Twatty goadiness still rife amongst moaning faces.

Brexit Arms patrons bored beyond belief that normal service appears to have resumed.

WrongTrouser · 12/06/2017 18:44

I think someone should offer histinyhands a stiff drink when she next pops in. She keeps being mistaken for a leaver on another thread and is getting some grief from irate remainers Wink

fakenamefornow · 12/06/2017 19:05

EU nursing applications down 96%

But surely this is exactly what Leavers wanted, reduced immigration. This will be music to their ears.
