Anyway I want to apologise for putting the word suckling and Blair in same sentence Shock

Inkanta · 18/02/2017 13:03

What would CLAIG say to all of this. Come back CLAIG - we need you! Smile

SemiPermanent · 18/02/2017 13:17

*All the thick stupid leave voters were fighting your war you total fucking arse.

A war voted through parliament by the Tories including IDS and May.*

But who was fighting the war?
As in, actually fighting?
Leaving their families to go and do the dirty work?
Doing so because they trusted that parliament, the govt & the PM would not lie?

The 'thick, stupid, racist' expendable masses.

Amongst current & former service people I know most of them were Leave voters btw.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/02/2017 13:35

Semi

I think you are trying to see something that isn't really there. Many people campaigned against the Iraq war at the time - Robin Cook and Galloway being the two that stand out.

If people put blind faith in politicians that's their look out. The 1997 election was marred by sleaze - its not like politicians misdemeanours aren't well documents (or new)

surferjet · 18/02/2017 13:45

GhostofFrankGrimes
You're not understanding.
The people TB is calling thick & stupid, are the very same people who are willing to give their lives for this country - so while you remainers are tucked up in your nice cosy London homes, the thick ignorant leave voters are out fighting for your continued safety & freedom.
But their vote means nothing to you.

surferjet · 18/02/2017 13:46

Now if you don't mind, it's probably best if you leave.

InformalRoman · 18/02/2017 13:56

Why do you assume remainers always live in London?

I seem to remember that some vocal leavers on this thread are tucked up in nice cosy London homes ...

Inkanta · 18/02/2017 14:00

'All the thick stupid leave voters were fighting your war you total fucking arse'

Shock who said this!?

boredofbrexit · 18/02/2017 14:18

Merkel is sucking up to Turkey because 1: she needs it to take all the refugees she is planning to send back and 2: she needs a neighbour with a big army if there is a fall out over NATO.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 18/02/2017 14:29

Oh dear, where to start with this mind fuck of a post?

  1. TB did not say that
  2. What does leaving the EU have to do with the Iraq war?
  3. The Iraq war had nothing to do with safety and freedom and I, like millions of others opposed it.
  4. I grew up on a council estate. I live in the barren North. I voted remain. Go figure. Hmm
PenelopeNitStop · 18/02/2017 14:39

Hi, can I defect here please?

Weirdly, I voted remain, but am sick to the back teeth of sanctimonious, rude, belittling remainers who are completely unable to see why people might have voted differently! Grrrrrr.....

I'm now more on the fence, can see both views. Why can't they put energy into finding out why people voted differently, and work together to get the best deal for all of us?

On the WM thread, anyone who doesn't exactly fit into the echo chamber are either called names or ignored. I finally understand about liberal people being intolerant. They are making me mad, can you tell?

Anyone got any plonk, or wise words, to ease my rage?

PenelopeNitStop · 18/02/2017 14:41

Oh, and why can't they accept the reasons people give, instead of dismissing them all as not valid (in their opinion)?

howabout · 18/02/2017 14:59

Welcome Inn Penelope. Saved you a spot by the fire. Wine

creampinkrose · 18/02/2017 15:18

Hi Penelope!

(We were on the other thread and kept agreeing with each other, so you must be a good egg!) Grin

TheFullMrexit · 18/02/2017 15:29

Anyone's with your fab name is welcome penelope. Wine

TheAugury · 18/02/2017 15:32

That other thread is brutal, it's reached new depths today when the much longed for, desperately hoped for utterly imaginary surge of reformed Leavers failed to materialise in answer Tony's condescending and offensive rallying cry. Delusion runs amok it's quite painful to watch the frothing.

SouthallGirl · 18/02/2017 15:47

Is that what BoJo really said - "I urge the British people to rise up and turn off the TV next time Blair comes on with his condescending campaign." Lol.

They'll be wheeling out Gordon Brown soon. Do you remember they did that right at the end of the Scottish vote for independence ..... I've never seen Gordon so animated and full on, but he did swing it for staying within the UK.

SouthallGirl · 18/02/2017 16:01

Semi - All the pics you post on MN I just cannot view, even when I click on 'Show Picture'. Ooo er .... are we - god forbid - incompatible?

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 18/02/2017 16:07

thick ignorant leave voters are out fighting for your continued safety & freedom.

So now the armed forces are all leavers

SouthallGirl · 18/02/2017 16:08

Most Nigerian foreign aid is used to target Boko Haram

Really, since when? Most Nigerian foreign aid goes into private pockets according to ordinary Nigerians; I hear it all the time from Nigerian guys I regularly speak to where we rent lock-ups.

scaryteacher · 18/02/2017 16:08

Southall My tea came down my nose as I was laughing so much when he said it. Priceless!

I was discussing all this with ds last night (who is a remainer), and he said that as far as he could see, politics since just before the coalition had been about spin. As he was 2 when Nulab got in in 97, he can't remember it, but I would argue that it was from then that the disconnect really began between the elected and the electorate. I think the PM might just be the sort of old style politician we had forgotten about who will plough her own furrow.

scaryteacher · 18/02/2017 16:09

Rufus A fair few will be, yes.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 18/02/2017 16:21

Yes scary

And a fair few will be remainers

I dont really understand the point of the original post

I over indulged last night and i am now very tired so that may be why Grin

SouthallGirl · 18/02/2017 16:22

Mandelson and Campbell work is writ large with the Return of Blair.

TheFullMrexit · 18/02/2017 16:23

Heard from zilch from bojo for so long then he issues forth those words of mind blowing wisdom. Joyus.
