Oh good. I thought it might only have been available on prescription to depressant remainers.

Nasty shit? I missed it. Were people being called "fucking nasty cunts" or something? That would have been bad.

Hi Everyone, Just checking in before the BIG DAY Feel nervous - however just saw Sturgeon on the TV saying something like
" We Have tried but the PM would not budge one inch, not one inch" and I felt Ok again.

This is what we need a PM with guts and integrity to Brexit us out of the EU, Go Theresa!!!!!!!!! Going to have a read back in a mo. Smile

Yikes!!

Why should we? If you need reassurance or reasons get off your star and find them for yourself. We repeatedly handhold you through reasons for leaving and you wilfully ignore, disseminate and fudge your way past them.

Report
Bearbehind · 11/03/2017 17:24

As expected, you're not tackling the latter points in my post then scary, ie the consequences.

Bear I can assure you I did listen/ read and absolutely nothing you or anyone said even came close to convincing me that the benefits of leaving begin to outweigh the negatives.

Vice versa here - nothing could convince me that remaining was in the UKs long term interests.

EU Army - so CSDP and EEAS stuff (that I am trying to find) was passed in 2015, and we do not apparently have a veto.

Corrupt bureaucracy - I would argue that there is a difference between politicians and bureaucrats, but the point was the system itself is flawed as opposed to the people therein.

Superstate Read your history books to have a look at the worst that could happen. It would not be benign.

Immigration I see no reason why we shouldn't be like Canada, Australia, NZ and the US is ensuring that those who immigrate to the UK are required for specific jobs, and fit the criteria on supporting themselves, no access to state health care etc. It works for those countries, and no-one thinks anything odd about it.

Border control Yes, if you're from a non EU country, there are controls. If you are not, you tend just to come straight in.

Sovereignty Evidently you don't understand the acquis and the ratchet. What is that but a loss of sovereignty?

Bearbehind · 11/03/2017 12:38

Eu army
Would never have happened whilst we had a veto

Corrupt bureaucracy
And our politicians are paragons of virtue aren't they?

Superstate
and the worst that could happen is.....?

Immigration
We will just exchange EU migrants for migrants from other countries as part of trade deals so no 'gain' there if that's what you wanted

Border control
As above- it's not like there are currently no controls

Sovereignty
You saved the best for last! We never lost our sovereignty so what is to be gained.

I don't expect a response as nothing more meaningful has come out in the last 9 months but I would truly love to know how you perceive any of the above rhetoric to outweigh

  • inflation
  • potential problems with NI
  • tariffs
  • non tariff barriers
  • the cost of just implementing Brexit
