We've been advised of a a lock in and it's reported that the jukebox has been stuck playing Pulp - Common People - all night.

Go friend! Wine

Got tied up last night so wasn't around to start new one.
Well well well, President Trump eh?

Farage is now mates with the top man in the world, Brexit here we come Grin

Figmentofmyimagination · 09/11/2016 07:56

I wonder whether it perhaps makes a Norway type of solution to brexit more likely, on the basis that we are safer together, as the world is now looking so much more uncertain.

But maybe brexit was just the first domino to fall in the slide to fascism, and France and Germany will produce similar results next year. It's a frightening world. Simon schama on the Today programme summed it up for me.

IamWendy · 09/11/2016 07:57

I see there are already threads hoping trump gets assassinated, and saying they won't take the result 'lying down'.

surferjet · 09/11/2016 08:15

Lefties whinging again Wendy. Bad bad losers.

God bless America.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 09/11/2016 08:15

I think the UK might have just found itself at the front of this queue Obama tried to put us at the back of!

jaws5 · 09/11/2016 08:42

Yep! I came here betting to myself that the usual Brexiters would be cheering the triumph of a racist, misogynist liar, but I hoped to see some common sense. How frightening!

BoredofBrexit · 09/11/2016 08:48

Funny that. We were all betting how long it would take you to join us.

Scotland are shitting themselves Grin

jaws5 · 09/11/2016 08:57

I'm curious. Is it the deportations of forriners from US you are looking forward to the most? the ban on Muslims entering the country? The binning of environmental protection laws? The new relationship with that lovely chap, Putin? The acceptance that women are sexual objects to be grabbed by dirty old men?

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 09:00

This just adds to the illusion I have that most brexiters are indeed racists.

Donald trump is a racist. And you applaud the man?

He is incredibly sexist. And you applaud the man.

He is probably a sex offender. And you applaud the man.

Please look your daughters in the eye and be proud of what you support.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 09/11/2016 09:02

You think UK will get good trade deals with the man who wants to rip up all trade deals?

Thats funny.

time4chocolate · 09/11/2016 09:25

Let the hand wringing, disgusted, dismayed, appalled, shocked, beginning of Armageddon etc.etc. MN meltdown begin Wink

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 09:40

time4chocolate you proud to support a sexist racist then?

MangoMoon · 09/11/2016 09:46

That's exactly what I was thinking time!
I'm off to rend my garments & gnash my teeth or similar... Grin

Absolute shocker of a result, but then again - was it really such a shocker?
Brexit was the first in the dominoes falling - the western world is rejecting globalisation & traditional politicking.

I personally cannot stand Trump, but that's democracy - ordinary, usually quietly industrious, everyday people have been motivated to speak up against being disenfranchised & ignored.

The vote for Trump wasn't really for Trump per se, but a vote for change & a vote against the status quo.

time4chocolate · 09/11/2016 09:47

I don't think it says anywhere in my post who I supported - you have made an assumption.

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 09:48

I have based on your crowing.

Why is this a good thing? You can support Brexit and hate trump and what he stands for. You do realise?

surferjet · 09/11/2016 09:49

People have had enough of lefty liberals telling them how to think. Insult Christianity & you turn a blind eye. Insult any other religion you're calling for people to be locked up. I respect all religion because I'm not a cowardly hypocrite who picks his team depending on what the guardian tells me.

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 09:49

In fact please explain why it is funny?

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 09:50

SHame that Trump doesn't support all religions.

Bearbehind · 09/11/2016 09:54

The vote for Trump wasn't really for Trump per se, but a vote for change & a vote against the status quo.

I wish people would vote for what they actually want rather than using it to protest against something else.

time4chocolate · 09/11/2016 09:54

Believeitornot - not crowing more likely stating the bleedin obvious.

It didn't take long for a call on my 'apparent' lack of intelligence to crop up - same old, same old.

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 09:56

I didn't say you lack intelligence Smile

You made an assumption

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 09:57

So you're not disgusted as to the nature of the next US president then?

What is your opinion exactly?
