Trump, who minimises sexual abuse and sees women as little more than pretty playthings? Really Hmm

vulpeculaveritas · 09/11/2016 14:42

So you'd rather vote for someone who molests other women than a women who stayed in a marriage with a cheat.

Twisted.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 09/11/2016 14:45

Forget the whole election bit

This is a bit of a shitty comment

I absolutely will look my daughter in the eye and say under no fucking circumstances tolerate a sexually abusive cheat you are worth more. Any woman who stays married in those circumstances isn't worth anything

vulpeculaveritas · 09/11/2016 14:47

Its an awful comment.

y.

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 14:47

Talk about judging women (Hilary) more harshly.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 09/11/2016 14:48

Oh shit

How did i end up in the pub....i am supposed to be christmas shopping

Shock
MyschoolMyrules · 09/11/2016 14:54

I will just write the most awful comments about the lot of you idiots and I will put a smily face at the end to make it all better. Smile Grin Wink

InfiniteSheldon · 09/11/2016 15:15

Vulpa Hilary didn't just stay in a marriage with a cheat she enabled him and attacks any woman who tried to stand up to him. She is more like a perpetrator of sexual crimes against women than a victim. Trump is an unpleasant human being but if I had to, and I'm thankful I didn't have to, I would have voted for him over her any day. I try not to post on these threads but telling me I should be ashamed as the mother of a daughter takes it to a very personal level and Believeitornot should withdraw that comment.

vulpeculaveritas · 09/11/2016 15:18

I think you shouldn't have made it tbf.

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 15:23

Why should I withdraw?

And I'd like to point out at no point have I supported Hillary Clinton Hmm

If I were an American voter, I would have voted for none of them. Or an independent if their views/policies were appropriate for me. It isn't a binary choice.

I do the same in general elections as well. I've not voted for either of the main parties for a long time. But I still vote.

jaws5 · 09/11/2016 15:23

She is more like a perpetrator of sexual crimes against women than a victim WTF??

Believeitornot · 09/11/2016 15:24

And I'm the mother of a daughter which makes it very personal to me. I'd be ashamed to tell my daughter I thought trump was a good thing.

surferjet · 09/11/2016 16:28

Nice to see you back Rufus
this is the Brexit Arms, we'll argue, disagree, flounce, drink too much, talk crap, but at the end of the day it's a place we can all feel comfortable & just chill. SmileWine

MangoMoon · 09/11/2016 16:41

A few people did the 'noble' thing and opted for neither.

Hence Trump got in.

It really was a binary choice in the USA yesterday, and to try to pretend otherwise to retain some sort of feeling of moral superiority is disingenuous.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 09/11/2016 16:47

Im not back surfer

I got lost on the way to M&S Grin

I will lurk but if it all kicks off again i am off before the Po Po turn up Grin

Scotland is far from despondent. The Buchan News is reporting a local businessman and golf resort purveyor has just become President. Turns out more than a few prefer golf courses to populating the entire landscape with windfarms. Looking forward to seeing how the most skillful of Nippy Sweeties finesses this one but I fully expect her to declaring independence while asserting Scottish supremacy in the Union of the Crowns and forging the new Scottish / US relationship. Pretty sure that secures the objective of making the EU giving Scotland absolutely any bespoke deal she wants.

Trump corporate tax plans may well spell the end of the Dublin, Luxemburg tax etc wheezes.

I have 3 DDs and I'm with Ivana. If he's cheating LTB and make sure you get a decent settlement. In any event I think Weiner starts to make HC and her team look like they have an endemic problem.

howabout · 09/11/2016 16:51

Apologies for typos as cooking dinner while sleep deprived Blush

"Aberdeenshire business owner wins presidential election"

Don't forget he's half Scotch as well.

howabout · 09/11/2016 17:02

Not checked the Ayrshire Post yet but they could well say the same.

Admittedly Kezia is a bit upset but I think she's just deflecting from her real issues as always Sad

AccioMerlot · 09/11/2016 17:06

I'm intrigued to know what Leave voters make of the situation where Clinton wins more votes but Trump wins the electoral college (how it appeared when I last checked)

Is Hilary being denied the presidency by the ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE in the electoral college? I mean, they had a vote, right? And she won? So this crappy constitutional jiggery-pokery is just an attempt to subvert democracy. Clearly.

(I'd also like to see Trump apologise for saying the election would be rigged, but hey)

InformalRoman · 09/11/2016 17:11

The P&J has rehashed this:

Donald Trump: How Scotland helped me win the White House

In an exclusive column for the Press and Journal in April, Donald Trump, now President-elect, spoke of how his experiences in Scotland would help him win the White House.

The Republican nominee and prominent north-east business figure revealed how his efforts to win over the people of Aberdeenshire provided him with the perfect trial run for American voters.

“Let’s just say I have had some experiences and lessons learned in Scotland that have helped my current status politically,” Mr Trump wrote.

“When I first arrived on the scene in Aberdeen, the people of Scotland were testing me to see just how serious I was – just like the citizens in the United States have done about my race for the White House.

“I had to win them over – I had to convince them that I meant business and that I had their best interests in mind.

“Well, Scotland has already been won – and so will the United States.”

Jeez, that makes Scotland sound like the 51st State Confused

AyeYaDancer · 09/11/2016 17:19

Odd interview with Alex Salmond earlier today. He was saying The Donald really was a good person before the campaign. So it sounds like despite Wee Nippy's faux pas, they are claiming him as their (our) own. I got an odd sense that AS might be planning a coup. Probably just hallucinations from lack of sleep. Make mine a whisky please.

I would be grateful if people took the time to read this. I think it important to understanding each other.

I think its important to understanding the Trump vote.

MangoMoon · 09/11/2016 17:37

I'm intrigued to know what Leave voters make of the situation where Clinton wins more votes but Trump wins the electoral college (how it appeared when I last checked)

That's just an anomaly in the way their system works.

Much like our system where UKIP would have had more MPs than just the one if the actual number of votes counted.

Can't get overexcited about an anomaly tbh.

If it's a barely concealed attempt at oblique reference to the referendum result being 'more people voted to leave than remain, therefore that is what matters', then that's entirely different as you already know.
Because in a referendum every vote is equal and every vote counts.

How is Donald Trump not the elite?
Donald Trump loves authoritarian leaders like Putin. Some people on this thread just don't make sense at all.
