March? What march?

Can anyone else find much news coverage of this 'democratic march against democracy'? Twitter is full of info, but tune into the news channels and you would be forgiven for thinking it wasnt happening. Kind of has the ring of 'nobody cares' really doesnt it?

A number of marchers posting on twitter seem to think they are geographically being removed from Europe, although I guess you could forgive them given the odd name given to the march itself 'March for europe'

Why is it not 'March for E.U'? Isnt that what they are really there for? Anyone else as confused as I am?

Future Major news networks rarely cover marches unless there's violence, they don't want to give the peasants too many ideas.
Most of the main papers will during or after the event usually in a sneering manor with loads superiority so they can get all thier readers angry and outraged in a "How dare people exorcise thier democratic right, look at all those disgusting hippies and clueless over entitled youngsters" type of way.

Exercise* lol

WordsAreWind · 02/07/2016 18:13

Far to many typos to correct Grin

Joysmum · 02/07/2016 18:17

Wasn't Geri the Spicegirl with the most successful solo career? misses the point completely

I love that there's a lighter sense of humor to these signs. Makes a change to hate and will be more effective too.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:18

But Joy, you know you are only allowed to find it funny if you are a remainer right? 😉

Rofl at naughty banner

well sneering is unproductive at best

Anger is ok I think. Hope so!. I'm angry but humour is helping

Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:24

Anger, dissapointment, frustration all normal!
Sneering, insulting, discriminating etc... Not ok 😉

sneering manor

:)

BeyondCymru · 02/07/2016 18:29

The "t-rexing" banner must have been a mner Grin

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 02/07/2016 18:30

Sneering was exactly what OP was doing - so she could expect a bit back. Don't dish it out, and all that.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:32

Under, I and others here have been sneered at all week. A bit of ironic humour was admittedly my medicine and I hope the same for others too, for that I do not apologise.

OP posts:
Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:32

And yes, the T-rex was comedy gold!

Flufflepuff · 02/07/2016 18:32

I think your sneering is rude and unnecessary OP. It makes me feel tired more than anything else though and I'm probably not alone, so if you were trying to hack people off I don't know if it's worked that way.

It's weird how many people are angry or scathing about people speaking up in public with a disagreement. I can only think it reflects some massive insecurity deep down in the "leave" contingent. There are millions of causes in life I don't support (including the Brexit one) but I don't start random threads taking the piss out of them, or tweet about them mocking what they're up to.

But then how can any of us feel secure I guess ... none of us know what's coming, no matter what we voted, as there was no plan.

I hope we can all agree if nothing else that the politicians have been a fucking waste of space this past week. No plans, no unity, no professionalism. Total shits.

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 02/07/2016 18:34

Under, I and others here have been sneered at all week.

That's because you're on the side of the baddies. Grin

Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:36

OMG, Fluffle... The hypocrisy! Unreal.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:37

So if nigel farage likes pink and I do too, does that make us sympatico greenwood? 😉

OP posts:
UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 02/07/2016 18:37

Seriously though - your response is to start a sneering OP? Not really the brightest thing to do. It's a bit like gloating.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:37

Or if he likes chips? Or drives the same car?

OP posts:
Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:38

It was gloating... I cannot deny it.

whydidhesaythat · 02/07/2016 18:38

Agree (OP)

we have to resist generalizations about the opposite camp
It's a no win game

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 02/07/2016 18:40

No, liking of a colour doesn't, standing beside him in a political campaign does.

UnderTheGreenwoodTree · 02/07/2016 18:41

It was gloating... I cannot deny it.

Another thing you have in common with Mr Farage.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:41

Got to admit those banners are hilariously daft though... Especially the "suck my own penis one" 😂😂😂

OP posts:
Thefuturecouldbebright · 02/07/2016 18:42

When did I "stand beside him in a political campaign" ? 😂😂

I wanted to leave the EU! I have never voted for the man! Thats a reach really... You have to admit?

OP posts:
whydidhesaythat · 02/07/2016 18:43

Let us all agree that was a daft banner

Off out to a party
