Can we laugh or cry yet?

Are you still sane?

Will this insanity ever end?

Theresa May has got this. Time for a grown up. Osborne will stick with her too.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/06/2016 18:07

Although this thread has been great discussing things, instead of the other threads that have insults and recriminations flying about

^^ Absolutely

I'll say this, though - if anyone's entertained doubts that politicians think of themselves first, second and always, rather than thinking of the good of the country, this week should hopefully have changed their minds

TheBathroomSink · 30/06/2016 18:09

Osbourne only appears to have redeemed himself because he's been invisible though, surely?
I have no doubt that next time he opens his mouth, he'll say something that will remind everyone how bad he is!

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 30/06/2016 18:11

That's why he stays invisible.

MrsLupo · 30/06/2016 18:14

One for the Gove fans (if there are any)

RedToothBrush · 30/06/2016 18:19

That's why he stays invisible.

Quite. He's never been seen out in public that much under Cameron.
Maybe he wasn't allowed out.

Re May: I'm liking the fact that a Guardian writer says "she'll be nobody's stooge

I think under the circumstances, that reflects incredibly well on her, in comparison to Gove.

Also I note, she previously worked for the Bank of England at one point, which frankly is a good sign right now as she should have some fiscal common sense in there some were

hopes. I'm trying to make myself feel better at the prospect of human rights getting shat on

Gove has persistently said that he's not capable of being Prime Minister, and he's absolutely correct. He's got that face for a start.

Wonder whether he threw his hat in the ring, withdrawing support from Johnson just to stop him from running (how could he after that?) and will come to some agreement with Theresa May to get the job he really wants and then pull out of the race?

RedToothBrush · 30/06/2016 18:23

I think that this is an appropriate moment to reflect on the week previous to the one we've just had. The one where we saw there are some good MPs out there.

Its just this type of shit shower that tarnishes that good work.

Scotland's potential future - out of the EU, with Michael Gove or Theresa May as PM. It fair focusses the mind.

RedToothBrush · 30/06/2016 18:30

There is a very deep pit reserved in Hell for such as he. #Gove

Health Minister Michelle O'Neill says she has "real fears" about the impact a UK exit from the EU could have on Northern Ireland's health service.

We've not heard a lot from NI.

Crabb is far too close to the top

I feel sorry for Liam Fox.

He looks like he has less friends than Michael Gove.

That game is strangely cathartic red!

Hamishandthefoxes · 30/06/2016 19:21

I'm starting to feel better. I have gin, I've slapped Michael Gove 327 times and found the BBC news story about him getting stuck in the toilet on his first day as Chief Whip. According to Angela Eagle he almost broke his whip trying to escape...

Muddlingalongalone · 30/06/2016 19:30

Is it wrong that I've just slapped Michael Gove 100 times & can't wait to do it again with the sound on once dd finally goes to sleep.
Can you believe the polls hadn't even closed this time last week?
It's been one of the most memorable weeks politically of my life - shame it's for all the wrong reasons!

howabout · 30/06/2016 19:31

Love that game. DDs want to know if we can slap more of them?

Oh that slapping game is super satisfying.

DoinItFine · 30/06/2016 19:32

Yes, Muddling, just a week ago none of this had been unleashed.

Hard to believe.

whirlygirly · 30/06/2016 19:33

Ha ha I've been slapping too. He is the most odious little scrote imaginable.

MitzyLeFrouf · 30/06/2016 19:34

'found the BBC news story about him getting stuck in the toilet on his first day as Chief Whip.'

Grin

That just sums him up doesn't it? The man can't even defecate competently. He probably had to phone Sarah to come and let him out.
