That's both interesting and uncomfortable. I never thought that I'd like anything Jeremy Hunt had to say. God, we really are re-drawing the political map. It's all up for grabs now.

The Daily Mail (!!) have an article quoting an unnamed senior EU diplomat who reckons the UK will never get around to leaving.

The Daily Mail commenters (yes I peeked) seem to be less Boris friendly today so I suspect his popularity may soon screech to a halt once the Express 80% take their noses out of their Princess Diana sticker albums and realise all the reasons they voted for Brexit have come to nothing.

Theresa May, Andrea Leadsom, Jeremy Hunt... Hard to say which one I hate the most.

Just a point. If we can't trigger negotiations until Article 50 is triggered, then how can we say what the free trade agreement deal will be?

I guess I know which way I'll be voting then...

I think I'm going to give up news and MN and will take up a nice relaxing hobby, something like shark photography or lion grooming.

Also wanted to say, I know a few Leavers and none of them would vote UKIP. They would vote Labour.

I've tried to talk to them about their voting Leave, and an absolute loathing of J-C Juncker seems a definite factor. But they also loathe Farage and his allegedly holocaust-denying pals in Europe.

So in a GE, what with that and FPTP, I don't think UKIP will do well at all.

I may just join you Chardonnay. There are good prospects in barefoot pirana farming I hear.

I think a lot of the 80% are Remainers hoping Boris will fall flat on his face trying to clear up the mess he made of this country.

oh well if it's before the negotiations are started, that's easy! it'll be that free trade agreement where Britain gets to be in the Single Market, not pay any fees, have zero EU immigration, and a free pet unicorn for everyone.

Not to be too picky here, but I don't really want a pet unicorn.

Nothing erudite or witty to say myself, but wanted to say thank you to you all. You've kept me sane, informed and reminded me that there's still plenty of people in this country that I'd be proud to claim as compatriots when I was starting to wonder if I belonged here at all.

You know, the EU was supposed to be to help trading, but it's beginning to seem more like mobster's protection racket. Pay your protection money, follow the rules, and we'll let you do business with us.
