Sinn fein

Saying similar.

We voted to remain. We are not led by the English vote.

If English folks forced us out of the eu, that is not democratic.

Support our peace process.
Support us in the EU.

You are not listening to us (Eu).

'Britannia waives the rules' - very good!

GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 10:52

Sinn Fein - we stand by remain. we accept respect and we will defend the wishes of the people of the north of ireland, however, if english drag us out of the EU that would be like britannia waves the rose. We voted to remain. The last thing that the people of ireland need is an EU border with 27 member states stuck right in the middle of it. You the EU have supported the peace process and I ask you to continue to do that.

GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 10:53

she's ranting now and won't stop talking. She's now looking like a lunatic, sorry. That wasn't helpful for her.

LurkingHusband · 28/06/2016 10:53

I do enjoy, sparring with you mr farage I think we share the same sense of humour. Or you did.

its a shame this is the last time as you won't be coming back.

Is this from the EU, or the latest Bond script ?

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 10:53

Belgian liberal again.

Vote massively for this motion to prepare for us to leave. It is the only thing we can do.

More digs at farage for representing the little man.

But ok, lets be positive.
We are getting rid of the biggest waste of EU money in its history. Your salary.

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 10:54

verhofstadt - belgian liberal - what is now politically important is a vote in favor of the resolution.

He slamming farage for representing common man when he is wealthy (but let's be realistic, I imagine every one of them in teh room is wealthy)

BearsDontDigOnDancing · 28/06/2016 10:54

Who is talking for the English who wanted to remain? It is not just London. Feels like we have no real voice today.

I feel worse the more and more it goes on.

Nigel Farage is an embarrassment.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 10:55

Polish conservative.

Disappointed with the debate. Same insults and same problems.
Disappointed with the EU leadership.

The picture is not rosy at all. What are you going to do.

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 10:56

polish cons - the UK will flourish, but this is bad news for the EU.

we have to reflect now- our leaders have done something bad, what do you want to do? you're playing the same tune - it's the nationalists or socialists that are at fault.

What now? the picture is not rosy at all. Can our leaders in europe learn from their mistakes?

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 10:56

Italian Socialist again.

Having a go again at Farage for making hate.

(fucks sake. farage has authority here. its so depressing).

We need guidelines for a process of strong intergration.

OP posts:
RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 10:57

Want EU FBI.

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 10:58

is the tory party going to wave the dog?

We want there to be immediate action. The EU council to listen to what we're saying. We must work with citizens not just brussels elite.

GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 10:58

We need a european FBI. (???)

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 10:59

German.

No response to the political issues in uk from Le Pen. Maybe you should think through your arguments again.

No more dissent. Send out a message that the 27 want to continue with this project.

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 11:00

German having a pop at Le Pen?

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 11:01

Vote:
I have no idea whats going on and what they are voting for...

seems to be several motions

OP posts:
ObiWanCannelloni · 28/06/2016 11:01

Farage Hmm
Now he must have been asked for an interview by every Uk news outlet this weekend, yet no show. I'm assuming bought off with shiny new non elected role by Johnson/Gove. Which also makes me suspect these highly personal sound bites he's throwing around have been endorsed by Leave camp.
He can say the stuff they can't.
Haven't seen it but RtB don't think u mentioned immigration in his speech?
So he's been told trash the EU, talk up project Brexit success and dial back rhetoric on immigration?

Chalalala · 28/06/2016 11:01

We need a european FBI. (???)

I think the issue of intelligence/security has been suggested as a way to push integration forward that would also be fairly popular in the current climate, so this makes sense to me

GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 11:01

I come away from this debate with the idea that they have learned nothing. They will continue the way they've always been. They will push for this army/FBI nonsense, and move towards ruling/governing europe. Yes, we have some problems with this decision and implementing them, but I suspect after seeing this I would like to think perhaps we're better off out.

RedToothBrush · 28/06/2016 11:02

They are quick at this voting stuff. Confused

OP posts:
GingerIvy · 28/06/2016 11:03

yes, it's rather hard to follow, the voting.

Chalalala · 28/06/2016 11:04

the response to Brexit was always going to be more integration. The only question is, what sort of integration.
