Seriously? majority of people who voted for leave wanted control of our borders, we brought into your story of an Australian style point system now it seems there's still going be freedom of labour movement which is basically the same thing expect they get less legal rights.

I didn't just vote leave for immigration but yes it was a big reason and if I known this, if remain had a better hammered this home I bet MANY leave voters would not have voted the way they did. If anything if this happens, many leave voters will join the remain voters in rage at the lies we been fed. (NHS, Immigration)

I have been a vocal leave supporter on here but now I am feeling pretty scared about what I have voted for. I blame the remain campaign for having an totally shit and ineffective campaign and Cameron should never have been the leader of the remain camp, as majority of people despise him and don't take any notice of what he says.

It was on the bloody BBC and Facebook, hardly well hidden in a small column in the New Statesman!

ErNope · 25/06/2016 16:56

''not everyone researches everything each side said''
ERM
THE BIGGEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE IN OUR ECONOMY.
the onus is on you to research it. I'm gutted the remain side of the camp were a tad shit in their debating but you can't be 'furious' because you couldn't be arsed to do your research.

Euripidesralph · 25/06/2016 16:56

Most people don't go online researching everything that has been said

Seriously? So remain (and yes I voted remain) are to be blamed because you couldn't be bothered to research a life changing vote in a referendum?
Are you really serious?

You make your vote and you live with the consequences....I'm so terribly pleased that you are confirming that one of the biggest decisions about the British future was made by some (notice I said some because I'm sure there are those who voted leave after careful sensible research....I may not agree but they have my respect ) who voted on a damn whim and then plan to whine that they weren't hand fed a decision

Fabulous my two children will be chuffed their future was impacted under those circumstances

wanders off shaking my head at the ridiculousness of entitled people

Chippednailvarnishing · 25/06/2016 16:56

Most people don't go online researching everything each side has said...

I think you'll find that you really aren't most people hopefully

pointythings · 25/06/2016 16:56

You chose to believe the lies, OP. No sympathy for you from this hard-working, tax-paying EU national who will be staying here. Have a Biscuit from me.

Samcro · 25/06/2016 16:56

thanks you for making me lol op
so its the remains thought that you got it wrong.
pmsl

PNGirl · 25/06/2016 16:56

Did you get your information from The Sun by any chance?

Pissant · 25/06/2016 16:57

Oh dear.

It's a bit fucking late now isn't it.

Holowiwi · 25/06/2016 16:57

People are so stupid it's why the masses cannot be trusted with such important decisions that have huge ramifications.

Experts kept saying we will still have to follow the EUs rules if we are to trade with them but some people believed in this nonexistent plan for Britain well here you are watch the 'mistakes' and 'lies' be exposed. Yes I am pretty angry about this

UhtredRagnorsson · 25/06/2016 16:58

OP don't blame the remain campaign, which was honest and truthful (and above all, accurate and evidence based). Blame yourself and the other leave voters. God knows I do.

Brandonstarkflakes · 25/06/2016 16:58

The Remain campaign was so crap.

If you live in a shithole town with no prospects who are you going to listen to? An endless line of rich people, scientists and business people living miles away from you telling you that you must stay in the EU because we are 'stronger in Europe'.

Or Nigel Farage who tells you that immigrabts and the EU are the reason your life is so shit and here is a golden opportunity to get rid of both of them?

Remain did absolutely fuck all to appeal to these people and now all of us are going to lay the price.

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 25/06/2016 16:58

OP, you have nobody to blame but yourself if you thought that the campaign camps were the only sources of information and didn't bother to look elsewhere for information about how trade and immigration works. The information is all that! Yes we didn't (and still don't) know the specifics, but anyone who bothered to at least try to understand what they were voting for or against wouldn't have had your vision of post brexit britain

longdiling · 25/06/2016 16:58

Here you go OP, a highly accessible, prime time TV with the Remain campaigners jumping up and down yelling 'lies!'

Seriously, people should be made to pass a stupidity test before they can vote.
This has made me really fucking angry. Your blaming the remain campaign because you decided to not research before jumping on a band wagon about such a big decision

TwoLittleBlooms · 25/06/2016 16:59

FFS Rebecca you can not lay the blame at the feet of us Remainers that you are not getting what you thought you were - you and the 17 million people that voted out should have done your research and not listened to the likes of Johnson and Farage!! You and all the other regretful brexiters that are now panicking that you are not going to get what you thought you were need to take ownership of your actions. Thanks to your failure we are all going to suffer.

MrsSpecter · 25/06/2016 16:59

So rebecca are you saying that the remain campaign somehow tricked you into voting to leave? Oh my goodness, perhaps that was the remain camp's plan all along! Shock Hmm

buckingfrolicks · 25/06/2016 16:59

from the BBC today - "Leave campaigner Nigel Evans MP says there had been "some misunderstanding” over the Leave campaign’s position on reducing immigration.

Asked by BBC Radio 5 live’s Stephen Nolan if reducing immigration had been "inferred" by the Leave campaign, the Conservative MP said the plan was always to “control” it."

OP, you have been royally taken in - and now the whole of the UK, or what will remain of it - has to live with the consequences of you and your ilks crapulous stupidity

UterusUterusGhali · 25/06/2016 17:00

Well, duh.

Did it not occur to you that we "control" France's border too, and wouldn't if we left the EU?

We control less of our border than we did.

Anyone concerned about immigration should have learned the facts and applied some common sense.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 25/06/2016 17:00

You are sad that you can't just wipe away your vote like you wiped away your horrendous comments on the Jo Cox thread? You appear to be very hard of thinking and I cannot understand why HQ didn't ban you for that.

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 25/06/2016 17:00

Most people don't go online researching everything that has been said

yes we f*cking do, at least we do if it's something that might swing our vote! Most people treat memes and headlines as a starting point for doing a wee bit of deeper digging into issues that are going to effect our vote

FFS! Hmm

BonerSibary · 25/06/2016 17:01

YANBU to be pissed off about this. And it's happening, you know. The EEA thing. I'd bet my left tit on it. It's ok to be miffed that you were deliberately fooled. We are good and lumbered with free movement, whether you think it's a bad thing or not, and there were plenty of people who did their best not to mention that even though they knew full well. However...

YABU not to have bothered doing your research. This information was already out there. Daniel Hannan had said it before. People on here pointed it out. It shouldn't be news to you that we're likely to have to concede free movement. If you had enough time to get into arguments on here, you had enough time to listen to people telling you about it. There are people who have some excuse for not understanding this, people who have no access to the internet and/or have a very low level of understanding, but you're clearly not one of them.

And YABVVVVU to blame the Remain campaign. It was shit, as was Leave. But you have access to the internet, you're clearly able to understand information. It's on you that you didn't pay any attention to this bit. If immigration was that important to you, why didn't you specifically research what impact leaving would have on it?

KittyandTeal · 25/06/2016 17:01

But freedom of movement was always going to be part of any decent trade agreement.

People TRIED saying it but it got poo pooed by leave campaigners. This is not a new bit of information.

clam · 25/06/2016 17:01

Pathetic idiots, do they really think if there was another referendum that people would vote differently? why are they so sure they would win a second time.

Rebecca, you posted this earlier on another thread, among many other crowing posts aimed at Remainers, who clearly did more research than you did. Are you now saying you are one of those pathetic idiots would like another chance to rectify your vote, now that you've realised what a monumental cock-up you've bought into?

AdultingIsNotWhatIExpected · 25/06/2016 17:02

The Remain campaign was so crap.

And he remain campaign is the only readily available source of information on the structure and workings of the EU is it? Jesus!
