To be apppalled by the remain camp attitude

On my FB feed, social media, TV we are being berated for voting leave, we are being called racist, thick, uneducated, stupid, poor, peasants, benefit scroungers...the list goes on. There is even an petition now to have another referendum because obviously the leave camp know absolutely nothing.

Boris Johnson was whisked away by the police when he left his house this morning as protesters were ranting at him, banging on his car. How is this democracy? why does it only run one way? Yet you cheer at this act of aggression.

I would understand if the vote was closer but it was not close, leave won by well over a million votes. Why cant you accept the results and look for a way forward together, why have a "me vs them" attitude.

Personally I was voting for the least bad option. I haven't seen any concrete evidence that anything good will come of leaving the EU; quite the contrary so far. It's not a ruddy game of football. I'm not obliged to be sporting in defeat, nor can I pretend to be.

Right so no ones being vile and name calling just exercising their right to be angry Hmm

It would be hilarious if it wasn't do bloody tragic. Of course were entitled to be angry but not outright nasty. The 2 ate world's apart.

Some people on here need to take as good a long look at themselves as they are telling the leavers to do.

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2016 01:30

The 2 ate world's apart.

???

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2016 01:32

you need to get over it. You lost. Accept it

You're just as much of a loser. You just don't have the brains to realise it.

Yet.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 25/06/2016 01:45

why have a "me vs them" attitude.

Do you realise how ironic that is considering what we were voting about?

HelenaDove · 25/06/2016 02:04

Im appalled by someone i know from the Leave camp. She is dismissive and disrespectful of information about the EU which people have shown her. She was still sharing Britain First posts on referendum day a week after the events in Birstall. She does have slight learning difficulties but surely that cant be an excuse for racism. Says she doesnt understand when it comes to doing CVs on computers but seems to understand computers enough to use social media and have dating profiles on dating sites. And has NEVER HAD A PAID JOB. She is in her forties. My mother is not English and finally retired last Christmas after FIFTY YEARS of working in factories in the UK.

So hypocrisy is at play in this instance as well as racism.

cardibach · 25/06/2016 19:39

Rosie For years, there has been a suggestion that the MEP role was a 'pat on the back' and a free pass to European jollies
How us this even possible when MEPs are elected not appointed?
I'm really fed up of people spouting the 'undemocratic ' lie about the EU. It's far more democratic than the UK government, and has far fewer so called beurocrats (otherwise known as Civil Service) too.

cardibach · 25/06/2016 19:40

Italic fail

Believeitornot · 25/06/2016 20:50

We elect MEPs

We elect them

Funny how people skip over that. I bet they ignored it when it came to voting.

Cleo1303 · 25/06/2016 20:54

I'm with you, Rebecca.

The arrogance of Remain following a democratic vote says it all. They were arrogant before the vote, and the arrogance is there now.

Sturgeon is seriously suggesting Scotland and London declare UDI? What planet is she on?

17 million people are stupid, ignorant and all the rest of the insults. I was campaigning for Leave with solicitors, economists and other highly educated people.

Why did the USSR and the Eastern bloc finally collapse? Because people were sick of being governed by unelected bureaucrats. That is how a growing number of people feel today - not just here, but across Europe. I think the whole thing will collapse within five years, and then we can get sensible trade agreements, without being part of a political union.

Dave & Co can blame Angela Merkel to a great extent. Her statement that all immigrants were welcome to pitch up in Europe seriously pissed people off. She had no right to say that. She didn't speak for 27 other countries she just dictated what they should do.

However, having spoken to many people on the doorsteps or outside tube stations it's quite clear that there wouldn't be so much anger over EU immigration if Blair hadn't invited so many unskilled immigrants from the third world into the UK. If Dave had stopped non-EU unskilled immigration he wouldn't be in this position today.

Costacoffeeplease · 25/06/2016 20:55

Have you seen Rebecca's more recent thread?

Believeitornot · 25/06/2016 20:58

Say what now?

Oh yes, the OP's more recent thread is a real treat. She's angry at the Remain campaign because she now regrets voting for Leave. Nothing to do with her not taking the time to work out the facts.

People like you OP are just likely to make the already angry a whole lot angrier.

So YABVU I'm appalled at YOU,

Maybebabybee · 25/06/2016 21:10

Guys...don't feed it.

NowWhat1983 · 25/06/2016 21:12

I voted leave.

had remain won, I would have shrugged and said oh well, lets hope for the best then.

I wouldnt be losing my shit all over facebook, calling remainers idiots and demanding a second referendum.

Remainers ought to think to think shame of themselves or their carry on.

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/06/2016 21:13

Is OP a trolly type?

Highlandfling80 · 25/06/2016 21:13

No many remain voters are working class. Me and my siblings included.
The remain camp are sad and worried and can't quite believe how many people were ducked in by Farages lies.

Highlandfling80 · 25/06/2016 21:14

Should be sucked

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 25/06/2016 21:15

nowwhat had remain won you wouldn't be royally fucked. Things would have been as they were in Wednesday: not perfect, but not chaotic and fucked up. That's why people are angry.

NowWhat1983 · 25/06/2016 21:15

The remain camp are sad and worried and can't quite believe how many people were ducked in by Farages lies.

I wasnt. Confused

I didnt even know what Farage had to say about leave. I made my own decision.

TiggyD · 25/06/2016 21:16

I'm appalled at people not posting referendum stuff in the referendum section.

NowWhat1983 · 25/06/2016 21:17

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace

The EU has only existed since 1993. The UK was not royally fucked before we joined and we are not royally fucked without the EU which will not last in any event. It WILL collapse whether we voted in or out.

What is wrong with you people?

Get a grip.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 25/06/2016 21:18
