Few threads started by those happy about this. I have decided to no further rain on their parade - they are entitled to their opinions . BUT anyone who feels otherwise ...welcome

I know. And as someone pointed out, the new border will be at Kent not Calais. Stupid fuckers

Pangurban1 · 24/06/2016 14:22

John Major's 'bastards' will now be ruling the country.

Crusoe · 24/06/2016 14:24

Ashamed to be British 😢

Thunderwing · 24/06/2016 14:27

Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, says the EU will not allow the UK to re-join the single market.

He says:

The UK had lost independence nowhere. The UK is not a part of Schengen, it's not a part of the euro. The UK had a lot of opt-outs… it was the UK insisting always not to be a full-fledged member of the EU.

"The only areas they were a fully-fledged member is the single market and now they cut the links to the single market and look what happens today on the internal markets."

He said Leave campaigners had duped the British public by making false promises.

"Yes, that message that Britain alone would be stronger than together with the other countries of the European Union, this is a fairytale."

ohdogoaway · 24/06/2016 14:28

Pang surely we can create some jobs for the lovely people who voted for this shit show - the same people who do not want legal immigrants from the EU- to deal with the large numbers of refugees and economic migrants who will get here any way they can . I would tell the UK to piss off if I was French border control.

Project Fear were right to be afraid and to want people to see that they should be too. Fear is entirely the right emotion to have right now.

spanky2 · 24/06/2016 14:33

I feel British and European equally. I'm very worried that the future may be Boris Johnson and Donald Trump. Donald Trump tweeted how happy he was that Scotland took their country back. What a dummy. Boris Johnson is more like the conservative party's resident jester. I worry about our future.

Just embarrassingAngry

spanky2 · 24/06/2016 14:38

I read that Nigel farage said he didn't know where that statement that £350 million was going to the nhs. He said that wasn't him. Confused

LondonKiwiMummy · 24/06/2016 14:39

So I had DD in tears as one of her friends had told he'd have to move to France if we voted out.

I'm beyond gutted and thinking about leaving. And incredibly angry.

MitzyLeFrouf · 24/06/2016 14:48

The Black Country looks great......

imwithspud · 24/06/2016 14:56

I would just love for a leaver to go on tv and give reasons unrelated to immigration as a reason for voting leave.

Might restore my faith in humanity just a bit.

imwithspud · 24/06/2016 14:58

Yes Mitzy I don't live there but I live in the W. Midlands. I'm so sad to see that most counties in my region voted leave. We are a manufacturing region and who knows what kind of effect brexit will have on those businesses and their workers. It's such a big risk, I really hope it all works out.

Akire · 24/06/2016 15:02

I'm not happy either. Think we may at some point be better off (or indeed all go tits up) but going be a lot of belt tightening in mean time. Possible emergency budget etc

ohdogoaway · 24/06/2016 15:45

I think the major worry will be - judging by what Labour MPS are saying - that if this triggers another GE in a year that UKIP will make big gains in England and Wales

OP posts:
Akire · 24/06/2016 15:51

Surely UKIP needs no more MPs? I mean they "won" they not going gain enough MP to win and therefore take a prime minister to steer leaving talks. So what's point of them?

SparklySandals · 24/06/2016 15:57

I'm so, so sad about this. I feel the UK has let itself down.

I am also gutted about another Indy Ref, as a No voter the last one just about killed me. Next time round I have no idea what to do. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. My son is 4 months old and I feel like his future is already fucked. Sad

Mner · 24/06/2016 16:03

A sad, sad day. Feeling very disillusioned with all of politics as a left-wing, remain voter who is half-EU of descent (the other half Scottish!) and only has her DC because of an EU IVF clinic. I love being a part of Europe, always seen myself as "European".

Anyone would think they had a massive majority. It was close enough to be nearly 50/50! Cameron's giving up the fight buggering off (which I am weirdly sad about), Boris is making plans to move in, Farage is fucking smug but nearly half of those who did vote don't want this. How is this a mandate for an exit?

ohdogoaway · 24/06/2016 16:20

I think UKIP will put up candidates all across the country bolstered by this win- and they will have a lot more party supporters because now UKIP is an acceptable voice in British politics . And when they do that there will be a good chance that all the ignorant fuckers who really did vote on the "England for the ethnically English" card will vote for them. And I just don't have enough faith in the country anymore to imagine that they may not win a landslide

This, this is how most people whom I know voted because them immigrants are stealing everything and they refuse to look closer to home...

Just posted this on another thread but gives some interesting insights about who voted for what

lordashcroftpolls.com/2016/06/how-the-united-kingdom-voted-and-why/

OP posts:
Kidnapped · 25/06/2016 09:46

Interesting graphic.

Didn't really surprise me though. The Leavers were made up of older people, people who were less well-educated and those people who don't work either part-time or full-time.

I'm feeling a fair bit better today. Yesterday was a shock, now it has sunk in a bit.

Anyone else? Smile

PeaceOfWildThings · 25/06/2016 09:50

I think England and Wales should have the Indyref! Then NI and Scotland can simply remain in the EU and it's up to England and Wales to leave.

Kidnapped · 25/06/2016 09:59

Yeah, that would be the easier thing surely?

Scotland and NI would be left in the EU with the name UK.

England and Wales could come up with a new one for themselves if they did decide to go it alone.

Eeww?
Engles?
