I'm ordinary.

Nigel fucking dick Farage DOES NOT SPEAK FOR ME.

I am utterly, utterly confused.

Still waiting for a cogent explanation as to a) what precisely constitutes an 'ordinary person' and b) in what way the Leave voters envisage said 'ordinary people' will manifestly benefit from the decision.

Ducky - yes but the European markets haven't opened yet, have they?

FenellaMaxwell No, but exchange rates aren't dependant on the markets - hence why both have dropped overnight while they were closed.

Ordinary people?!! What the ordinary people who have already been told they will probably lose their jobs as a result? Yeah, fucking great victory!

This morning I have unfriended 20 + people from Facebook because of racist comments. Lose term friends really people who have been in my past

I know not everyone who voted to leave are racist but they have won because of racists. Just awful.

Nigel says it was a "mistake" to say we can spend £350 mil on the NHS

Aww Nige!

Victory for whom?
The only victory I see is for lies and spin.
Look at the areas that voted to leave. So many are blighted by poverty. It is only going to get worse for so many people.
Whoever thinks we're going to become some strong global trading platform is living in cloud cuckoo land. We're totally funked. You wait to 8am and watch the markets plunge then big business scrambling to leave. Total disaster.

What trade deals when all the multi-nationals fuck off out of here
And who believes right wing politicians will suddenly put more money into an NHS they wish to privatise

The EU is finished, all you'll get now is France, Germany, Spain, wanting out too.
Accept it. The EU is not popular & millions of people all over Europe want out.

Awful, all EU markets predicted to open down 7%, pound at a 30 year low, markets haven't opened yet.

"Stronger trading position" ? Why should we believe you know that you'e admitted that £350 million was a lie.

Disappointing to hear repeatedly that lots of people are using this as a "protest" vote. Good luck with that then.

I don't know much about politics at all... I didn't want this result though.

Im self employed, my wholesalers are in the EU. I was sent an email on monday saying if Brexit were to happen that I would likely see an increase in up to 30% of supplies.

That's 30% I just cannot afford, and I know people will not use my business if i put my prices up, like most places, they'll source elsewhere in the EU for cheaper. So effectively I'm likely to be unemployed come Christmas. Struggling to feel enthusiastic about the result right now!

What sort of utopia do you think the eu is? I lived in the eu with my husband on zero hour contracts and I got just a few months ml.

smallfox1980 · 24/06/2016 07:12

Zero hours contracts are not an EU issue its a national government one.

Zero hour contracts are UK policy.

Pound is already rallying, according to what I've seen in the news.

Oh do 't be silly. Nobody thinks it's a utopia. And zero hours contracts are. national policy. You know, made by our government...
