Argh.
Mum was ok on fri having gone in xmas eve. Plans afoot to get her back on wafarin after the weeken and home ASAP.

Yesterday coughing lots and mysteriously on oxygen. Sta,paed my foot a bit and insisted on seeing a doc. What point is " they'll be here Monday " ? No that not ok. She's not okNOW ! Anyway. Seen and xrayed " don't think its infection ".... Yeah right

Today she's much worse. Away with the faries ( not her at all) scrabbling at the bedding etc. Had oral antibiotic at 3pm but thatsnt going to work fast enough is it? Awaiting more bloods and another doc review.

Darent leave. :(

Ajandjj I fear you are right. Suspect the alleged waking night cover is asleep now - at 11 he was certainly at least " contemplating the insides of his eyelids" as mum would say.

Torn between going down at 1am and catching him or trying to sleep myself.

Mum is comfortable on a driver and safe in bed with sides up palliative care lady says unlikely to change much overnight. So on balance I think I'll sleep but the number of used mouth care sponges might tell a story ( should be at least 2hrly minimum) so at least 4x before he leaves at 7am

Oh thea. Hope your mum is ok and you got some sleep.

I think mum is fine now. The driver is working, she's peacefully asleep.

I'm fighting to get better carers.

Neighbours have been to say bye which was very sad. Thry are off on holiday tomorrow to one of mums favourite places ( Malta ) so I suggested they think of her in the sunshine.

Dithering as to wether to call her friends at the centre incase thry want to pop over.

Oh thea. If you can handle it go for it. So sorry carers are not as you would want. BrewBrew To you.

Oopsy. I might have used the phrase " crap carers" as the carer came in the kitchen whist I was on the phone lol

You spoke the truth.

Just seen your comment on the other thread about dying. Feeling for you so much. Remember being with my Dad and wanting him to slip peacefully away, but still wanting to keep him with us.

Glad your Mum is peaceful and resting. Don't forget to take care of yourself too.

xx
