Just thought I would start a thread for anyone who has applied for a place at BRIT school

Congrats to everyone who has had good news! Do you think they contact all successful applicants for a strand at the same time, regardless of when they interviewed? I know there were still interviews going on last week for a few of the KS4 strands but sounds like decisions have been made already.

I would have thought decisions are made and communicated after all meetings/auditions have taken place. Presumably, all decisions (offer/no offer/wait list)are communicated at the same time for each strand?

We are KS4 VAD and not heard anything. So thinking it's prob not good news. Maybe they send news to successful applicants first..

Oh sorry, I didn’t realise @Daffodils23 There’s my theory out of the window then! Like you, still waiting for a decision but a KS5 strand who still have auditions happening tomorrow that we know of. Keeping everything crossed for you. Our “apology for keeping you waiting” email said we would get a decision by the first week in April which would suggest by the end of the week.

@MandyB08 which year group. Haven't been offered a place but we are in Surrey, so i think on the same train line.

We are waiting to hear about a place for KS4 Film and Media. I called admissions last week and they said they email out results in batches over a few days. Best of luck to you all

@MandyB08 well done to your daughter! Is she KS4 or 5? We’re quite far out too but still in catchment - my DD will be going from Epsom in Surrey.

@Daffodils23 I have no idea how they do it. But… my DD’s friend also applied for KS4 VAD and got her email saying she hadn’t made it to the final round several days before my DD got hers saying she had made it! 🤞 for your dc!

My DD got a ks4 place for dance..any other dance kids mums on here?

@Primrose44 Congratulations to your DD. We just find out this morning my DD is on reserve list for KS4 Dance. We are out of catchment. I have heard there are different reserve lists for catchment and out of catchment. I don't know what her changes are getting a place. Reserve list is open until 3 weeks in September but I don't really want to accept place in September. When do you have to accept your offer? Do you know if they have an induction day before summer holidays?

got dance . We are so excited and relieved to find out so fast. Did you audition on the 20th?

No, she wanted to do her GCSE'S at her current school. She used to go on Saturday until she got into Young Guildhall Drama about 18 months ago.

@CHELSE1234 hi I only know whats in this thread. I dont know anyone applying to KS5. I didnt see anyone post about getting in so far.
