Just thought I would start a thread for anyone who has applied for a place at BRIT school

There's a little "i" to the right of the name - if you tap on that it shows Form Status, Offer Status and Reference Status. Ours currently shows Form and Reference Status as "completed" and Offer Status is "pending".

Ours says pending and we have had our offer and accepted!

@Lettucemom Am I right in thinking you haven't had an e-mail from them? Whatever it says on the Applicaa page, I wouldn't assume anything is definite until you've had an e-mail. Maybe give them a ring and ask them to clarify? Keeping all my fingers crossed for you. xxx

My DD didn’t get in to MT KS4. She is absolutely gutted as she had a very positive day there. Feedback takes 6 weeks but have asked for it anyway.

So we also got a place and have done all the forms but still says pending?same for others who have accepted?

I wonder what it says for people on reserve. I'm checking my email and this thread every 3 seconds and then go back to a group Zoom call and someone is called...wait for it...Brit. Crazeee.

Don't know if this helps anyone, but the KS4 MT email rejection came to me, addressed to me, telling me that I didn't meet the criteria (obv, I'm a bit old for KS4) and not my child this morning. They still haven't received an email and on the mobile website, it still says offer pending.

Rejection for MT year 10 for my daughter too.
Music and MT seem to be the hardest to get into.
26 places for the whole country - it’s a proper Britains Got Talent show.
Hope the school is worth all the effort and talent in the outcome.

We’re on reserve for dance, should we be logging in as well as waiting for an email, or do reserves get a call do you have any idea xx

Only 25 in dance in year 10 too, it's a small year compared to sixth form. It really is hard to get into and it is so worth it if you do, that is why it is so hard to get into.

The email I got a couple of weeks ago apologising for the delay said we'd hear by the first week of April so I guess it should be tomorrow at the latest if they break up tomorrow?

Thank you. Did call and it was sort of confirmed by admissions. One very very upset boy here tonight 😞

I don't know.You could say there's nothing to lose and everything to gain but also have to face the possibility of not getting in a second time.
I think personally it is worth trying. There are kids who don't take places and kids also who find it's not for them and leave.

She doesn't know yet (away w/school at the moment)...will see if we appeal or not. I'd prefer not. Good luck to everyone who's still waiting.

@londonluxie I'm sorry to hear that 😥I agree about not appealing. If we get a no too, I would prefer to draw a line and move on with other options. Your DD can apply again for KS5 which is worth remembering. Take care x
