Just thought I would start a thread for anyone who has applied for a place at BRIT school

Oh no @Lettucemom - sorry to hear that. Is that under "Offer Status"? Ours says "Pending" at the moment.

Yes it’s under form status.

We are absolutely devastated. This is the only route my kiddo wants to take and the only place we have applied for.

feeling very lost and upset right now.

I feel gutted for you both (and will feel the same if we get the same outcome). Which strand is it? Just wondering if there are Plan B options still available. I know of MT courses still accepting applications.

Congratulations everyone! Just got the rejection email for KS4 MT. Gutted! Poor DC is on the bus home getting the email. Didn't mention anything about getting feedback. Is that possible?

Im so sorry for you too. It’s heartbreaking isn’t it. I just feel thinking they can’t accept everyone but feel upset nevertheless

Gutted for you too. Very heartbreaking and yes, sadly, they cannot accept everyone. Will let you know if I hear anything about feedback (and likewise)

Found this is the Admission Policy on the Brit website:

Brief written feedback to assist in understanding the decision can be provided on written request after your application process has been completed. Requests for feedback must be received in writing within 14 days of the decision being communicated to the applicant. As the admissions process may still be ongoing, feedback may take some time although we will make every endeavour to respond to your request within six weeks. We are unable to provide feedback if it is your intention to appeal for a second stage appeal.

Thank you@truelove that must have been where I saw it. My brain is about out of it with the news being fresh. Will definitely look into getting feedback. Very helpful.

So sorry to hear about these rejections.
It's possible to get feedback a friend did this last year think she had to wait a while though...
@Lettucemom did you apply anywhere else? Elam?
Are there borough run music colleges local to you?

I’m so sorry to bring this post down. I’m genuinely so happy for all the successful applicants here ❤️

No we haven’t applied elsewhere. Kiddo had heart set on Brit and knows the place well. One of the teachers told him they’d be lucky to have DC so it’s just a huge kick in the teeth. Caught in a weird trap right now wondering if it’s not the right path for my kiddo or to try other places for the same/similar course. Thank you for your support and ideas, I hadn’t heard of any other places

For those of us still waiting, have you noticed if you sign in to your DC's application, there have been some changes over the last day or so? "Reference Status" has just changed to "Completed" on DS's application and the previous workshops/auditions have been added. Looks like things are happening!

I can't log in to mine anymore when I go to the log in page it just says applications are now closed and there is no log in option

Ours just says Form Status: Completed, nothing else for now (KS4 music). My stomach is doing flips!

Does it show interviews? What does it say there?
The his is my daughters and she is accepted

This is ours – though I will definitely not read anything into it...except that she's not rejected, I suppose. I thought 'Accepted' meant accepted the appointment.

There's a little "i" to the right of the name - if you tap on that it shows Form Status, Offer Status and Reference Status. Ours currently shows Form and Reference Status as "completed" and Offer Status is "pending".

My DD didn’t get in to MT KS4. She is absolutely gutted as she had a very positive day there. Feedback takes 6 weeks but have asked for it anyway.

The little 'i' only appears if you log in on your phone!! Not if you're using a desktop computer.

For my DS, who's gotten in, it says 'Completed' for Form and Reference status, 'Pending' under Offer status.
