Does anyone know when the "no" letters are posted...judging from previous years it could be as early as this Wednesday!? Not sure I'm ready for the horror of that....the KCS "no" e-mails go out today at some point too so it could be a week of disappointment.....

From what I have seen in previous years (and I may be wrong) but I would expect next week probably Thurs (letters sent out Weds).
But I gather your son’s current head should know if you were a No if not already by the end of this week (assuming you weren’t called back), they could then deduce your son has been allocated a place.

Very well done to the scholarship boys. I did not know how horrid this waiting/re-interview thing would be. I think it is hideous for the children. I don't know how else it could be done, but this is no fun!

PandaFan had an email from KCS this evening inviting for interview.

I’m fearing a “no” letter today. Looking at mumsnet threads from previous years, some no letters were out this week. Frustrating that there appears to be no consistency to this process...differences year on year. The waiting is dreadful.

Yes, extremely well done to the scholarship boys and fingers crossed for everyone attending their 2nd interviews this week. The RGS is a long shot for us so I'm not too hopeful. I'll keep you all posted regarding "no" letters - nothing in the post today.

Gosh Kukac, no need to apologise at all...I totally understand what you mean! I'm just finding this waiting game very disconcerting - it's not something I experienced with my daughters - it was a much more straightforward process with them. Feels like we are in limbo at the moment and it's rather unsettling. Fingers crossed for news soon...what's meant to be, will be

Good luck to you all. My DC are both now in 6th form at RGS and have loved every minute of it. A very happy school with lovely boys, great teachers and Dr Cox is a good leader.

What about English/VR interviews? Bit worried about that one!

I don’t think No letters come out till mid/end next week - if last year is anything to go by.

In all the previous years its been from around this Friday and in some instances as early as yesterday (yes - I have been so sad as to check the old threads! I am turning into a loon!)....
