And now it begins!!!

Congrats! Late post today but FINALLY we have an A4 envelope from RGS - yippee!!!!!! (FYI We are 11+, I think envelope sizes are different for 13+)

Congrats to those that have received offers and thank you to everyone for your support. We have had today’s post but no letters at all in there (we are waiting for three schools). I’ve spoken to our postman but he didn’t have any letters for us- just one small box of something I’d ordered online! I just called RGS to ask them for news but the admissions lady is in meetings!!!! And the person I spoke to said she can’t promise I’d get a response today but she’d put in a request for the admissions person to get back to me. The wait continues....

Oh no, SusieQ, how frustrating! Could you ask your Head? They must know and be able to reveal by now...

Oh SusieQKew1 what an absolute nightmare! Perhaps you can drive over there and ask for them to give you the letter in person?

What a pain SusieQKew1- didn't you have delays with another letter too? That's (one of) my nightmare scenarios - no post today, can't speak to Admissions who are then closed over half term ergo 10 more days of waiting!! Ovbviously more of a nightmare is hearing it's a no and wondering whether I fancy home education.......!

Yes I seem to have a problem with post generally you are right! I emailed the RGS admissions lady directly and thankfully she just responded - DS has a place 😅. Best of luck to thoae still waiting 🤞🏽

I've really appreciated the support too. It's been such a horrible and long drawn-out process. Don't think I could face it were DS the eldest boy of 3 or 4!

Offer letter received after Maths callback. DS not yet aware. He prefers to go to his college. Does any one know if he can defer his admission to third form? I am still on cloud 9

Congratulations to all the boys who made it to RGS and a well done.Do all offer letters have a handwritten note by the head on the offer letter ?

PoshDee . I think you have to declare your cards before you sit. either 11+ or 13+. Dont think you can defer an 11+ offer.
