Seabright · 19/10/2011 20:32

We are up to 1000 posts on the other thread, so thought I'd start a new one. And also because as of today my feedback rating is 1000 & I now have a red star

Please keep posting, I love this thread; it's so friendly and interesting!

How strange DG. Is a special brand or something? Very odd!

I have 50 items scheduled for tonight. Will start editing to list immediately at about 8pm. Have about 17 more items to get through. Very bored now though!

MamaPizza · 30/10/2011 17:20

I have been lurking here since the beginning of this thread, but haven't listed anything myself yet. I would be happy with £50 for Christmas, that will pay for my son's main present (Kidizoom Twist + bag) and I am sorted.

Anyway, had a huge toy clear-out last week and thankfully he hasn't noticed yet. Can someone tell me why my living room still looks like Toys R Us and ELC combined? Hmm

So, if any of you is after toddler and pre-school toys, including Happyland, step this way!

DumbledoresGore · 30/10/2011 17:31

Good luck MamaPizza. With what you've got for sale there, I reckon you could clear £50 easily. Smile

No tortoise, not a special brand or anything (or at least, not that I know of). The other dinosaur sold for £1.45 - 2 bidders going against each other - and that seems like a good price to me. £6.67 is just a stupid price to pay!

Oh tortoise, while I am talking to you, I forgot to get back to you earlier. About the Playmobil plane: I had a look to see what was missing and was surprised to find that 2 of the 3 wheels are missing in addition to the silly little bits. Dd reckons they are somewhere in the lego boxes - we have about 4 enormous tubs of lego, plus more dotted about the house Shock. But I didn't realise something as important as the wheels were missing so I decided not to sell it until I can find them which is why I didn't get back to you. Smile

MamaPizza · 30/10/2011 17:43

Thanks DubledoresGore. I might add a few things later, but for now this should get me to my target. Camera is £38 reduced and bag £6, so anything over £44 is really a bonus.

Tortoise · 30/10/2011 18:22

Mamapizza I agree with DG, those items should get you at least £50.

DG let me know if you ever find plane wheels. Although depending on age of it, playmobil do spare parts.

Really annoying that my items ending tonight now end an hour earlier because of clock change.Angry

mirpuppet · 30/10/2011 21:15

Thanks for this thread. I have listed £250 worth of stuff today. Hope to clear at least £125 and feeling good as one thing has already sold (i.e. met my high start price) immediately.

HalleLouja · 30/10/2011 21:20

Got £15.50 for my lava lamp and £16 for perfume. Still ages to go. Fingers crossed they might go for more.

mogs0 · 30/10/2011 21:25

mirpuppet - can we have a link to your items? Great that you've got a bid already!!

Halle - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too!

Here are my items for this weekend. Ds has been ill for the last 24hours so I couldn't really be bothered to get any more things ready. I still have to pack up the things that sold on Thursday and post them tomorrow. I've made a small start on my sister's things though so I'm pleased about that.

Seabright · 30/10/2011 21:40

Tonight's total is £50, total to date - £317. Gross not net.

Tool shed looking emptier; house not so much. I have a week off next week & plan to have an eBay week. We are trying to turn our un-needed belongings into a boat!

Tortoise · 30/10/2011 21:48

I have 100 items listed!! Think that has to be a personal record. It's all thanks to.free listing and the scheduling trick!
Already have a bid and a couple of watchers. As well as a buy it now request on one item!

Sold some of my previous listings tonight.

mogs0 · 30/10/2011 22:06

Wow, tortoise! That's very impressive! Are they all ending on the same day? I can just imagine the look on my post mistress' face if I turned up with 100 parcels for her Grin.

Tortoise · 30/10/2011 22:07

Made £44.77 tonight before fees! Not too bad. All adds up.
Been offered £10 bin on build a bear hello kitty. They seem to sell around that price normally.

Tortoise · 30/10/2011 22:08

Mogs Yes except DPs 3 items! I do not expect all to sell!

DumbledoresGore · 30/10/2011 22:14

You are all doing brilliantly. I got off the mark this week with sales of £13.50 Blush I really don't have the knack! But I have a few things listed at higher prices now so I hope I get some better interest. I have to admit, I keep coming up against obstacles, eg things not being complete or as good as I thought they were, or else they are too big to post. I don't really like the idea of strangers coming to pick things up but I might have to grit my teeth and get on with it.
My listings if anyone wants dinosaurs, jigsaws etc

notcitrus · 30/10/2011 22:19

Bunch of items listed here including the fish tank which people are watching and asking about, and a mobile phone. And used 'sell similar' to relist most of my previous unsold items.

Ranting phone bloke has left us a neg feedback but as they're clearly bonkers and refusing to return the item and citing non-existent policies, I sent an excruciatingly polite message citing Ebay's policy that to get a refund you have to return the item, and assuming no response will both add a response to their neg and ask for the feedback to be removed. One neg out of 250 (about 100 selling) isn't enough for me to worry. But still annoying, though at least a couple nice people have left glowing positives since.

Tortoise · 30/10/2011 22:24

100 items listed here!! Grin

Tortoise · 30/10/2011 23:27

Shock The Lelli Kelly boots I listed tonight have shot up to £5.50 already! I'd forgotten they were even in the cupboard until I pulled it all out.

mogs0 · 31/10/2011 08:32

Tortoise - the boots sound like they're going to sell really well. Even I, only having a ds not a dd, have heard of the make so hopefully they'll be very popular.

I have a bid each on 2 items already and a couple of watchers on 2 more items.

On the last couple of listings I have put a BIN price on aswell as an auction start price and I think people place a bid early to remove the BIN price, stopping someone else from BIN. I'm still trying to decide whether it's worth the extra cost to ensure that early bids are placed.

MamaPizza · 31/10/2011 11:17

DumbledoresGore DS saw your dinosaurs and he shouted "Santa presents Christmas" (he is 2). I think he wants them. Well, I shall be watching.

Tortoise and you got a Dora doll. Seriously, ladies, I need to earn money rather than spend it Grin

DumbledoresGore · 31/10/2011 16:43

The little mini ones MamaPizza? If so, I found the last one the other night and have revised the listing to say 32 instead of 31 but can't be bothered to take another photo. But just in case you count and notice there is one missing from the photo, rest assured it will be included. Smile You probably don't mean the mini ones though and I have just written all that and you are thinking Confused!

MamaPizza · 31/10/2011 17:34

Ha ha, don't worry, I haven't counted. The little ones and the big ones! He loves dinosaurs!

Carrotsandcelery · 01/11/2011 11:47

Everyone has been so industrious Shock

I only managed to relist what didn't sell last week, which admittedly was most of it, as it had be relisted from the week before as well Blush I am ever optimistic and reckon with free listings I might as well.

My one sale hasn't paid but my non payer from last week has.

Dh goes back to work on Thursday so I can get snapping and writing ready for the next free listing then.

Is your cupboard empty yet Tortoise? The more I ebay the more stuff I seem to find.

mogs0 · 01/11/2011 12:53

Yay, one of my items sold on BIN overnight!

I've had a stressful few weeks in RL which is all calming down now so I can really get on and clear all my clutter and make a few more quid hopefully!

Tortoise · 01/11/2011 13:29

Not empty yet Carrots! Need to sort DDs toys out next! And DSs have some bits they don't use!

HalleLouja · 01/11/2011 13:32

Some of my relist items are selling. Had to relist one item for unpaid. Might make £300 out if this. Well worth the effort. My monsoon dress is getting lots if interest. My Thomas jeans sold for more than my bundles. It's unreal what sells.
