We are up to 1000 posts on the other thread, so thought I'd start a new one. And also because as of today my feedback rating is 1000 & I now have a red star

Please keep posting, I love this thread; it's so friendly and interesting!

I think it will be clothes mostly - people will donate them to me to sell for the charity. I don't know if it will work but I think it is worth a try.

Dumbledoresgirl · 05/11/2011 22:31

My total, after 2 weeks, is £65, give or take a bit (fees). I just don't have anything big to sell, though I discovered the other day that ds's much hated baseball boots (now too small for him) are actually Converses (and I never even knew what they were until recently Blush) so I have listed them tonight. I don't know if they will make anything but it has cost me nothing to find out.

Loads more stuff to list (books and games) but it is hard to find the time.

Oh and thanks Dizzyday for buying some of my stuff. Smile

TeWihara · 05/11/2011 22:37

Does anyone know how to clean converse?

DD has a toddler pair that look like they would go for a couple of quid, despite being well worn, but need to get the mud off first!

Carrotsandcelery · 05/11/2011 22:38

Dumble I don't have anything big to list either but I have made about £250 so far - I just keep plugging away at the little stuff and it adds up with the added advantage of emptying the house too.

Originally I made listing one thing a day part of my housework routine. Now I schedule the listings so I list one or two a day but don't start the listings until a Sunday or Monday night.

dizzyday07 · 05/11/2011 22:40

That's quite alright! Another 2 Xmas pressies for DD.

I have sold a bundle of her outgrown clothes for £60 and also 2 unwanted toys for £20 - both through another parenting site Blush - but need to get organised and get more stuff listed

Dumbledoresgirl · 05/11/2011 23:06

LOL my converses have a bid already - 6 days and 23 hours to go! TeWihara, I don't know about cleaning them - can they go in the washing machine? The pair I am selling didn't get much wear, but are still a bit grubby on the white rubber surround, but I just mentioned it in the listing and it hasn't stopped someone bidding straightaway.

Tortoise · 05/11/2011 23:30

All my items end tomorrow, one ended sold tonight (slip up on scheduling!)
20 out of 99 have a bid. Really hope more than that sell!

Carrotsandcelery · 06/11/2011 09:03

Mine end tonight. They are all relisted items as I didn't have time for more than that last week. 2 have sold but other than that I only have one other watcher. Fingers crossed they get more attention as they reach the top of the search lists today.

MamaPizza · 06/11/2011 09:21

Mine end this afternoon. Watchers on all of them, but only a few bidding so far. Here is hoping.

Carrotsandcelery · 06/11/2011 09:45

I have been tidying out a cupboard and come across a few unopened jigsaws - adult ones (ie grown up not dodgy). I am off to see if things like that sell on ebay. Grin

Dumbledoresgirl · 06/11/2011 11:11

let me know if they do carrots. I have quite a few myself. My kids usually give me a jigsaw for my birthday (I like them!) but once done, most of them I have no desire to do again.

Can someone remind me how to open a dispute? I have done it before but can't remember how to and can't see the link. Thanks.

Carrotsandcelery · 06/11/2011 11:12

It seems to be a bit hit or miss on the jigsaw front. The ones that have sold seem to have been BIN so that is maybe the way to go. Postage looks expensive so I think it keeps the selling price quite low.

Dumbledoresgirl · 06/11/2011 11:15

Ah never mind, I have found how to open a dispute. So now that I have opened an unpaid item case, will the buyer be informed?

MamaPizza · 06/11/2011 16:14

Hurrah! My target was £50, I made £56.04 with my listings. Not everything has sold, but have relisted those already. Kiddizoom Twist, here I come Grin It actually feels good to recycle unloved toys and buy something new and better.

Carrotsandcelery · 06/11/2011 16:54

Yay!

TeWihara · 06/11/2011 17:03

doh! I was bidding on one of your Mama but missed the end because parents were round...

MamaPizza · 06/11/2011 17:15

Oh no, TeWihara. Which one was it? I might have something similar, there are still more toys to sell soon.

TeWihara · 06/11/2011 17:17

It was the little ELC drawing/scribbler thing - no worries though, I just forgot to check what time the listing ended!

Carrotsandcelery · 06/11/2011 17:46

Who was selling the Spyro Ds game?

MamaPizza · 06/11/2011 17:54

Sorry, haven't got more of those. I got more happyland though, but need to see if I my son can part with it.

Tortoise · 06/11/2011 19:08

Carrots I have the Spyro DS game Smile.

Am shocked at Minnie mouse shoes bid upto £8.50 so far! Looking good for sales tonight. 27 out of 99 have a bid (61 bids overall!) . Lots have watchers.

Tortoise · 06/11/2011 19:11

All my items ending tonight!

Carrotsandcelery · 06/11/2011 19:18

Oh no - it is not yours that I bought then Tortoise if yours ends tonight. I hope it sells well then.

I look like I will make... £9 tonight, before fees Grin but then I was only relisting things that hadn't sold before so I am glad that 3 of them have now at least sold.

Good luck tonight everyone!

Tortoise · 06/11/2011 19:21

Well it has 1 bid @ £1.99 no watchers lol!
So far it says I will make £147.14!

Carrotsandcelery · 06/11/2011 19:24

Wow! That is a great day's selling and you are not finished yet. I was watching about 5 of the Spyro games and just working my way down the list as the price got too high. I got mine for £4.20. I hope yours goes higher or I will be sick.
