Seabright · 19/10/2011 20:32

We are up to 1000 posts on the other thread, so thought I'd start a new one. And also because as of today my feedback rating is 1000 & I now have a red star

Please keep posting, I love this thread; it's so friendly and interesting!

OP posts:

Yes, I think I would assume if they've left feedback that it's arrived?

Dumbledoresgirl · 04/11/2011 15:51

Don't worry about me carrots. It was mamapizza who was having the bad day. And I was instrumental in making it worse Blush. Mind you, a funny thread or video wouldn't go amiss. I am sitting here listing items I just know won't sell or will make me a measly 99p (before fees)

Carrotsandcelery · 04/11/2011 15:56

Ooops! Blush I am not on the ball at all this week.

mogs0 · 04/11/2011 16:00

Ok, I shall do nothing for now - I was a bit worried as they have low FB and thought maybe were unsure of the eBay game!

MamaPizza · 04/11/2011 16:08

Yup, it was me. Still feeling rubbish, but going to cheer myself up with junk food later tonight. Could do with a funny website / a good laugh.

I really hope that most my items will be local pick-up, I so don't have the energy to post.

Carrotsandcelery · 04/11/2011 16:22

This might bring a smile to your face Mama

Carrotsandcelery · 04/11/2011 16:29

Or maybe is more your taste Grin

mogs0 · 04/11/2011 17:31

Yay, missing item buyer just replied saying it was delivered today and had been lost in the post. Now my problem is that I put in a claim for compensation this week. How do I stop that?

MamaPizza · 04/11/2011 17:42

Ha ha, thanks so much. Brought a smile to my face. Right, now get this child of mine to bed and then chicken burgers and chips Grin

MamaPizza · 04/11/2011 17:43

Good news, mogs. Sorry, don't know how to stop compensation, but I'm sure someone can help here.

Tortoise · 05/11/2011 08:10

Reached 30 watchers on the snowsuit Shock and 2 bids. I think this could be the most watchers I've ever had!

notcitrus · 05/11/2011 08:50

Wonders will never cease - I have a bid on a 1980s cassette tape recorder. £9.99. From a bloke in Canada who I told it would be £20 postage! Obsessive collectors - I love them!

We've found all the bits from some 1970s Star Wars models so just need to stick them back together as they ought to do well. Though sadly our oscilloscope didn't work properly when tested so we got a Freecycle geek to take it away (along with lots of other junk, hooray!).

25 watchers on the fishtank, 3 people asked about BIN. I just hope it doesn't decide to leak as soon as someone comes to collect it!

Tortoise · 05/11/2011 17:59

Oh dear, I won a playmobil house for £66 plus postage! BN in box. That's my earnings from tomorrow items spend before I've even got it! (yes, I'm being an annoying late payer lol)

HalleLouja · 05/11/2011 21:51

Oh dear Tortoise. I am trying to curb the spending.... But all this selling needs some rewards.

I sold an Arsenal newborn baby vest for £7! Loving it. More than about 3 bundles together. More than the Thomas jeans. More than most things really.

Still waiting for the Monsoon dress to be paid for. Oh well hopefully when I start the complaint thing tomorrow I will get paid.

Still waiting for the Joules jumper person to allow me to cancel. Oh well if they don't do it by Thursday it will get cancelled and I can relist and make more money Grin

The Radley mirror has 11 watchers.

Also got loads of things lined up. Might be slightly addicted to selling. Watch out house belongings you might end up on ebay.

BoffinMum · 05/11/2011 21:53

Ahem
£300 in one weekend last week.

HalleLouja · 05/11/2011 21:54

Am struggling to sell my snowsuit here is the link. Any tips would be appreciated.

HalleLouja · 05/11/2011 21:55

Boffin what did you sell? [Nosy Interested emoticon]

BoffinMum · 05/11/2011 22:02

Ikea children's bedroom furniture suite (£100), some of which had been bought on Ebay for the same price originally!
A couple of rusty chairs we found behind our shed that turned out to be originals of a design classic (£50)
Some old bedside tables that had been sitting in the garage
A broken four year old laptop (£110)

And some other random bits and bobs

I am deciding whether to sell my pram tomorrow - it's a complete travel system with all the bits, in perfect condition, and while DC4 is only 2.5 we only use it once or twice a month and have another lighter one.

Carrotsandcelery · 05/11/2011 22:04

Halle I don't know if it is relevant but there is no size in the heading so if you are searching "snowsuit newborn" then it probably won't come up, or not high up the list.

BoffinMum · 05/11/2011 22:04

I also have a loft full of baby stuff and that is tempting to shift as well.
2 car seats
1 backpack
Moses basket
Posh clothes
etc

HalleLouja · 05/11/2011 22:07

What else to sell that is the question.

We are going to sell Sony MP3 player, some kids shoes, another Arsenal outfit, DVD recorder and some other bits and pieces. Might be another £50, who knows with ebay. Think I might get to near £400 in total. Need to finish my spreadsheet.

Carrotsandcelery · 05/11/2011 22:10

How long do you think it will be until another free listing weekend?

HalleLouja · 05/11/2011 22:11

I was thinking there might be one next weekend but no idea.

Carrotsandcelery · 05/11/2011 22:15

I think I will devote a morning to photos and write ups this week and have it all ready for the next one.

I am also setting up an ebay site for a charity so once I have a bank account set up for it I will be watching 2 ebay sites. Watch and marvel as I get myself in a dreadful muddle.

What has happened to Dino btw?

HalleLouja · 05/11/2011 22:22

So what will you be selling for your charity?

I thought Dino reached the target and was aiming for a new target. Not sure any more details than that, sorry.
