Hi @Mumsinthemaking, welcome!

Sorry to hear the 3rd didn't work. I've read success goes up with each one and if it's going to work it should happen between 3 and 6 so still hope!

Are you doing medicated or unmedicated?

@ODAAT260718 Sunday is a weird day yeah but at least you only have a few days left and you can keep watching what happens with that line! Good luck will be thinking of you over the weekend. We're all good here, I always find the first week of the 2ww fine, it's when I give myself the lower dose injection on day 6 that I start getting a bit antsy. Also just found out I'm going to be an auntie for the first time which is so exciting but makes me want to be pregnant at least 1million % more!!!

ODAAT260718 · 28/01/2021 18:50

@ally99101 oh how lovely for you, congrats! For me it's definately a case of not comparing someone else's pregnancy... Or trying at least. @Mumsinthemaking welcome. I agree that the more times you have iui the better the chance. Positive thoughts coming your way xx

GrettaGreen · 28/01/2021 20:33

@ODAAT260718 I am so flaming chuffed for you! It's so heartening to hear that! Really unlikely that it's the ovatrelle lingering surely?
Welcome to all the newbies too. It's good to know there's plenty of us in the same boat to keep each other company over the next few months. We cracked and tested yesterday with a big fat negative and DW was spotting with the start of her period. We'll confirm with another test on Saturday if her period hasn't fully started and then get pissed on wine and have some quality time together before gearing ourselves up for the next round which will likely be March with how the timing falls in.

ODAAT260718 · 28/01/2021 22:07

@GrettaGreen I have everything crossed for you. Well done for waiting so long to test though. I won't get my hopes up too soon x

Ttc2017 · 28/01/2021 22:38

Started meds tonight was so nervous doing the injections really scared which was silly because I've done them before but it was such along time ago now. Greta green crossing my fingers for u to ! Good luck for Sunday odat! Ally it's always so hard hearing when other people announce pregnancy isn't it hang on in there though hopefully not long til you can make your own announcement x

Mumsinthemaking · 29/01/2021 12:49

Thanks all! Yep all booked in for round 4. We are un medicated as we had lots of tests pre treatment that showed good results so fingers crossed. My wife has started on pregnacare today and we are strictly eating good food etc. Any hints and tips? Our second IUI did work but she MC at 7 weeks - just luck of the draw! So for those out there wondering if it ever does work.. then it does!!! Lots of love to you all. Any BFP’s today??

Ttc2017 · 29/01/2021 16:29

Anyone else feel like the actually getting to the iui itself is a rollercoaster. My first iui worked 2 years ago but it took about 4 cycles to get to the iui had problems like lining was to thick or thin can't remember which it was now, didn't respond to meds enough, had to cancel 1 cycle due to falling on bank holiday and then had too many follicles luckily had a follice reduction though and that was the one that worked and got DD. I'm already over thinking and worrying about all that could go wrong before I even get to the iui x

ODAAT260718 · 29/01/2021 19:00

Hi everyone. So I've taken another 3 tests and looks like iui may have been successful! I still don't believe it... I think if I test tomorrow morning and still have a line, I will feel better.

ally99101 · 30/01/2021 18:31

Ahhh @ODAAT260718 how exciting, things are looking very promising indeed! All the best for your beta tomorrow. Let's us know how it goes.

Mumsinthemaking · 31/01/2021 21:56

Hi @ODAAT260718 how have things gone if you don’t mind me asking? Best wishes to you!

ODAAT260718 · 31/01/2021 22:08

Hi @Mumsinthemaking thanks for asking. I have had a day off of testing today Grin so I shall be testing tomorrow again.

Mumsinthemaking · 01/02/2021 11:57

Ahhh good luck @ODAAT260718 thinking of you!

ODAAT260718 · 01/02/2021 13:36

@Mumsinthemaking I think whatever was there is no longer Sad can barely see the line now.

ally99101 · 01/02/2021 15:22

@ODAAT260718 sorry to hear the line seems to have disappeared? When is your blood test?

GrettaGreen · 01/02/2021 17:41

@ODAAT260718 how stressful! Have you had your appointment at the clinic to do your bloods yet?

ODAAT260718 · 01/02/2021 17:45

@GrettaGreen apparently they don't usually do bloods but she said I can go in and have tests. I said wait a few days but am still bleeding so theres no point really. Feel so stupid Sad

GrettaGreen · 01/02/2021 18:03

You're absolutely not in the slightest. It's just part of the roller-coaster. We thought we were expecting triplets about 5 days after the cycle because of the flashing line from the Ovatrelle. Now that's stupid Grin. Be kind to yourself, be sad for as long as you need then when you're ready you'll dust yourself down for a second cycle.

ally99101 · 01/02/2021 18:11

@ODAAT260718 you're not at all, as Gretta said, it's such a rollercoaster and of course it's natural to hold on the even the smallest bit of hope that it's worked. Take some time and you'll be ready to go again. If I remember correctly this is your first IUI? Trust me you learn so much with each one, I'm only on my 3rd and I already feel like I've grown so much from my first. You won't have been the first to think it's worked when it's not and you certainly won't be the last. Don't be too hard on yourself

ODAAT260718 · 01/02/2021 18:56

@GrettaGreen and @ally99101 thank you both. Feel sad for my partner as she obviously upset but I don't feel like I can support her yet, maybe I just need time to accept and then look after her. I'm spotting brown and pink now so am guessing AF on its way properly.

Ttc2017 · 01/02/2021 23:10

Odat I'm really sorry to hear your news :(

Sorry if it's tmi but is it normal to have watery cm when on the meds for iui I'm only day 8 and worrying it means I am or will ovulate before scan or that meds are not working properly

ally99101 · 02/02/2021 22:35

How are you getting on @GrettaGreen? I know you thought this IUI hadn't worked with your wife spotting, was it wine and quality time over the weekend after all?

GrettaGreen · 03/02/2021 00:21

@ally99101 we had a nice weekend despite poor DW having her period. Just lying low atm and licking our wounds before round 3 takes off. I just popped back on to see how everyone is. How many days past iui are you now? And how are you feeling? x

Mumsinthemaking · 03/02/2021 10:49

Oh im so sorry to hear!! Thats so rubbish. I feel your pain and im the partner of the wife going through the treatment so if she needs someone to talk to, happy to help! I fell over running last nignt and broke my ankle and hand so we’ve had a slight hiccup in our IUI journey!! Its taken our mind off it though which is good and next cycle all booked in!

Ttc2017 · 03/02/2021 11:00

Greta green I'm sorry to hear that that's so rubbish for both of you I hope you can get back on track soon. I had scan today cd10
I had lots of follicles so had to reduce dose now to 25 then back Fri for another scan. I had a 15,13,11 ,11 and lots of smaller follicles I can't remember size of them all but they said it's too many so hopefully the smaller ones won't develop if I have too many I have to either cancel cycle which is 200 pound charge or have follice reduction which i dont mind I just hope they don't all stop growing and disappear.

GrettaGreen · 03/02/2021 23:29

Omg what a disaster of a week it's been on this thread 😂. A broken ankle is definitely a change at least! Will you still be able to have the cycle etc?

TTC17, follicle reduction sounds scary. I've not heard of that before. Hopefully no more will spring up between now and you're back in the clinic x
