At Home Insemination - Buddies?

H8624 · 15/02/2020 17:58

For several reasons hubby and I are going down the route of at home insemination. It can be quite a lonely process I think - does anyone want to join me and we can go through it together/share tips etc?

Bit of background - we've tried for 2 months now both unsuccessful. I'm using clearblue ovulation detector to get my peak, and we've been doing the insemination every day from when I get my flashing smiley to the day after the peak, give or take the odd day! Using 10ml syringes and laying down afterwards for 20-30 mins.

Finding the 2ww a real struggle, and my heart breaks every time AF comes! I know it's only been 2 cycles and could take a lot longer so need to be patient! Altho feel like everyone around me is having babies which doesn't help!

Anyway sorry for going on - anyone want to join and share their experiences/tips? Need some motivation and hope!

Ah congrats @Busybee143 , you had us nervous there for a minute. Really pleased it's all come good, here's to a smooth pregnancy x

Busybee143 · 01/10/2020 22:26

Sorry, its been an emotional evening, I know I'm not quite safe safe yet but I feel so much less stressed.
How's your mum @ChunkyButFunky87

Waiting2BAMummy · 01/10/2020 22:52

Woohoo @Busybee143 that’s a beautiful sight. Congratulations, so glad everything is going well x

Busybee143 · 01/10/2020 23:02

@Waiting2BAMummy thank you so much! X

ChunkyButFunky87 · 02/10/2020 06:22

My Mums doing well thank you @Busybee143 hopefully home today.

The witch has arrived for me this morning! Stupidly tested last night, just wishful thinking but no she's bang on time. No more babies at 33 for me . . Stepping into the 34 bracket, come on BFP!

Busybee143 · 02/10/2020 06:32

I'm glad to hear it @ChunkyButFunky87
Nothing wrong with being in the 34 bracket!!

Waiting2BAMummy · 02/10/2020 07:41

Glad your Mum is doing well and hopefully coming home @ChunkyButFunky87.

Sorry the witch got you but 34 is a nice even number for conceiving and birthing a bubba.

Coolhand2 · 02/10/2020 10:56

I am so glad everything is going well with you @Busybee143, lovely scan😍 Things will go well the whole 9mths, enjoy every moment and some baby shopping 😍
So sorry AF came for you @ChunkyButFunky87, hopefully this will be your month.
My husband isn't feeling well since yesterday, we managed to inseminate cd12, premom says o-day is tomorrow, hopefully he will be better to do 1 more on cd16.

Busybee143 · 02/10/2020 15:04

@Coolhand2 thank you, it's honestly been a hard journey so I'm just going to enjoy every minute now and enjoy what I've got today.
Good luck for this month!!

bigblueboots · 03/10/2020 10:11

Hi everyone just catching up here - so exciting to see your scan @Busybee143! I can't imagine that moment of seeing him/her for the first time - expecting I'll cry when it's me!

I agree with PP, @ChunkyButFunky87, 34 is a nice age to have a baby. Hope AF isn't awful, and you can relax a bit before it all starts up again this month.

We are CD31, 9dpo. Tested last night and got a BFN of course. Going to try to wait it out over the weekend and test on Monday if AF hasn't arrived. DW had what might have been implantation bleeding a couple of days ago, which is unusual - she doesn't normally spot before AF at all. But really sore boobs now which is a usual AF sign. So just keeping everything crossed...

Busybee143 · 03/10/2020 10:17

@bigblueboots that sounds like a good sign, good luck!!
Thank you so much, it was instantaneous love!
I knew there would be tears if I saw a baby, I just wasn't expecting it at all. Roll on the 12 week scan and fingers crossed bubba/baby yoda will be perfectly healthy.

Waiting2BAMummy · 03/10/2020 11:09

Fingers crossed for you and DW @bigblueboots

How is your Mum doing @ChunkyButFunky87?

Good scan you will have @Busybee143 Baby Yoda you will see 😂

I’m CD36 today and still no AF my longest cycle before has been 32 days so have no idea what’s going on. I took a CB digital last night and got another BFN.

bigblueboots · 03/10/2020 14:28

That must fe really frustrating for you @Waiting2BAMummy. I wish we could just see inside what's going on with our cycles at any stage! Fingers crossed you get an answer soon either way.

ChunkyButFunky87 · 03/10/2020 22:18

Still keeping fingers crossed for you @Waiting2BAMummy

Mums good thank you, she came home yesterday afternoon, I stopped by for 2 minutes earlier at a distance just to see her and she looked bright. So glad she's on the mend Smile

Not feeling it today, bit wobbly earlier, one of my "I just want to be pregnant" moments Sad I have also eaten my body weight in DoughNotts as a result of moping lol (if you are in the Midlands buy them!)

Still wearing my Ava, not yet got a whole month on it so still a little unsure/unable to really read.

Ah the joys, happy Saturday all! X

Waiting2BAMummy · 04/10/2020 12:10

Bless you @ChunkyButFunky87 everyone is entitled to a bad day. TTC is hard and especially after having the joy of a BFP only to have it taken away. I still think about how far along I would be now, it doesn’t help, but I can’t help it.

So glad your Mum is on the mend it must have been lovely to see her.

I stopped using my Ovsense because I was expecting my next cycle to start. Might start again though.

Busybee143 · 04/10/2020 14:14

@Waiting2BAMummy I'm going to get these jokes all the way through if my edd doesn't change 😂 hope all is well with you.
@ChunkyButFunky87 I remember having so many wobbles but I got through them, tomorrow is a new day, TTC is hard, vent when you need to, your month will be right around the corner!!

Coolhand2 · 05/10/2020 03:54

TTC is definitely hard, thank God we have this group and we can vent.
I am 1 dpo today, my tww begins, we managed to do si 3 times this cycle, hopefully we caught the egg.

Waiting2BAMummy · 06/10/2020 17:51

Hi Ladies how are you all?

How is Amun doing @ChunkyButFunky87?

Can’t believe it’s going to be CD40 tomorrow 😮🤷🏻‍♀️ I do feel particularly “AF like” this afternoon though so she is on her way. I last tested on Friday night and it was BFN. I know I’m not pregnant just waiting for this cycle to end so I can start planning. Having to find a new donor as mine is moving so have started the hunt while waiting for the witch to program her satnav!

Coolhand2 · 06/10/2020 18:36

So sorry AF is taking long to arrive @Waiting2BAMummy, has that happened before? I hope you find a new donor soon.
I am 3dpo today and feel bloated and backache.

Waiting2BAMummy · 06/10/2020 19:24

Never this long @Coolhand2 longest ever cycle before was 32 days.

Wishing you luck for this month.

ChunkyButFunky87 · 06/10/2020 22:06

Not too bad thanks ladies

Mum is doing well, home and resting and I'm very grateful

CD5 here, the witch has been and gone so next week we'll hopefully be back on. I'm thinking use the last of the cheap opk's I had to try and support my Ava data

Hope AF shows soon @Waiting2BAMummy like you say, so you know where you are (or that you get your BFP of course!)

Coolhand2 · 07/10/2020 22:47

@Waiting2BAMummy, 40 is do long, hope it arrives soon.
@ChunkyButFunky87, glad your mom is doing well, we thank God. Nowadays I use opks too with Ava, and they were just 1 day apart. Hope you get to relax too before fertile week starts.
I am 4dpo today and trying not to symptom spot.

ChunkyButFunky87 · 09/10/2020 21:20

Any sign @Waiting2BAMummy ?

Waiting2BAMummy · 09/10/2020 22:36

Not yet @ChunkyButFunky87 haven’t tested since last Friday evening but am planning to test on Sunday which will be CD44.

How are you doing?

Busybee143 · 10/10/2020 12:21

@Waiting2BAMummy I've got everything crossed for you.
Where are the rest of you guys up to in your cycle?
