At Home Insemination - Buddies?

For several reasons hubby and I are going down the route of at home insemination. It can be quite a lonely process I think - does anyone want to join me and we can go through it together/share tips etc?

Bit of background - we've tried for 2 months now both unsuccessful. I'm using clearblue ovulation detector to get my peak, and we've been doing the insemination every day from when I get my flashing smiley to the day after the peak, give or take the odd day! Using 10ml syringes and laying down afterwards for 20-30 mins.

Finding the 2ww a real struggle, and my heart breaks every time AF comes! I know it's only been 2 cycles and could take a lot longer so need to be patient! Altho feel like everyone around me is having babies which doesn't help!

Anyway sorry for going on - anyone want to join and share their experiences/tips? Need some motivation and hope!

@Happyotamus, welcome🥰 Hope you ladies are doing well, I have been mia, but I am back, getting close to my o-day so I have to start the insemination. I am cd11 today.

Hi ladies, today is CD33 and no sign of the witch. I've been back through the last year and my longest cycle has been 32 days so she should arrive today but no sign. Have had some odd cramping but nothing like usual. Based on my ovusense chart people have said I haven’t ovulated but surely my cycle would be shorter not longer.
Do I test or am I clutching?

My mums just had a heart attack earlier, she's ok waiting for operation to have stents fitted and can't go and see her because of bloody Covid

@ChunkyButFunky87 such sad news, hope your mum will be OK. Sending you a big hug. @Waiting2BAMummy I had bad cramps the first few weeks of being pregnant. Scan tomorrow ladies, ill be 10 weeks, I'm hoping there will be a healthy baby in there!

I just went out for a run (still trying to be better, still dying each time!) get back to my car and I see a message, My mum has had her operation - she was rushed through just didnt bloody tell us!

I'm so glad it's done though, she's feeling ok and should be out in a couple days xx

That’s good news @ChunkyButFunky87 in some respects it’s probably better you didn’t know as you would have been even more worried and at least it’s done now and she can start to heal.

Well done on the running it would have been so easy not to bother tonight as you’re worried about your Mum but you did it anyway - go you! 💪👍

@Coolhand2 it is my first from my body yeah, my wife had our daughter in 2019. I'm very nervous as last time I had an early scan it was bad news but this is a new pregnancy so fingers crossed.

No AF yet but did a cheap test this morning and BFN so I guess I just await the landing of the broom.

@Waiting2BAMummy you're not out til your out. I've never got a positive on any test until 4+5 (the day after the end of when my period should have ended), don't know why, so there's still time.

I'm still waiting for AF myself, CD 29 today, last month came on CD 23, so really it's the waiting game this weekend x

Hello, thank you so much for your kind supportive words guys, it honestly really means a lot! I actually saw a baby in there today inside me! I couldn't believe it! I was so shocked there were tears of relief! I'm 5 days behind what I thought but apparently that's normal, a nice little strong heartbeat too. I'm so in love!
