At Home Insemination - Buddies?

For several reasons hubby and I are going down the route of at home insemination. It can be quite a lonely process I think - does anyone want to join me and we can go through it together/share tips etc?

Bit of background - we've tried for 2 months now both unsuccessful. I'm using clearblue ovulation detector to get my peak, and we've been doing the insemination every day from when I get my flashing smiley to the day after the peak, give or take the odd day! Using 10ml syringes and laying down afterwards for 20-30 mins.

Finding the 2ww a real struggle, and my heart breaks every time AF comes! I know it's only been 2 cycles and could take a lot longer so need to be patient! Altho feel like everyone around me is having babies which doesn't help!

Anyway sorry for going on - anyone want to join and share their experiences/tips? Need some motivation and hope!

CD1 for me, and I thought it was coming in a few days.

@Coolhand2 good luck for the new cycle. What do these bracelets do then?

@Busybee143 the Ava bracelet measures your temperature and other things too then predicts 6 fertile days. Unlike taking bbt you don't have to wake up at the same time, it just needs a few hrs of sleep time.

So I've spent the last couple of weeks doing C25K and improving my food, down half a stone and just trying to be a healthier me! I hope it's working, my boss randomly messaged me yday and said "you look the most chilled/happy I've seen you in a long time" so I hope it's just having positive effects all round.

I got the temp but haven't ended up using as I wake 1-2 times a night with DD and it says need to not move but she usually wakes to come in our bed 5am ish so I've held off

@Coolhand2 does anyone question your Ava?! I was looking but worried people at work would know what it is and give the game away lol

I'm just coming up to our next round, trying to note CM which appears to be changing for the positive so I reckon we'll be doing Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday all being well

That’s great @ChunkyButFunky87 chilled is exactly where you need to be. Sounds like you’re making great strides to be healthier too and losing half a stone is great.

Ovusense is an option if you’re worried about people figuring out the Ava bracelet @ChunkyButFunky87. Hopefully you won’t need it next month though!

@ChunkyButFunky87 you wear the bracelet when you go to sleep and take off in the morning. I would be worried if I had to wear it during the day. Great job on exercising and staying healthy.

@Waiting2BAMummy I ran out of the same brand of pregnancy tests so had to do two different ones, they look like good lines though so I think I'm happy. I'm 17dpo I think

I'm due around April 17th! I'm not having to many symptoms except for sickness which has hit me hard. Had to get something prescribed by doc cause I couldn't keep anything down. But tired to

They’re great lines @Busybee143 the FRER has even pulled dye from the test line. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean but it’s all progressing nicely so far.

I’ve bitten the bullet and ordered the ovusense it’s expensive but not really when you consider how much money I’ve spent on clearblue OPK’s. I took a cheap test this morning and it was negative so waiting for af to arrive though that should have been today if I had been right and I ovulated on CD13 though I don’t actually know that I did which is even more reason why I need the ovusense.

What is ovusense I'm not familiar with it? Don't forget some ladies don't get a bfp until after af is due so fingers crossed!

It’s a little sensor that you insert like a tampon every night and it records your temperature every 5 minutes. It gives you a 4 day fertile window and then confirms ovulation day once it’s happened. I drink too much water to be messing around with OPK’s and I know I’ll just forget with the temping so with this I don’t have to do anything @Busybee143

@Waiting2BAMummy let me know how you find Ovusense, I think that sounds like it'd suit me, I saw on your other post someone said they take out to go loo once a night with no effect and I'd need to! Poor bladder lol

Well back on it, so to speak! Tonight, 2WW begins, but hopefully we'll get 2 more tries on Tuesday & Thursday fingers crossed. It just makes me happy being back in with a chance each month
