At Home Insemination - Buddies?

For several reasons hubby and I are going down the route of at home insemination. It can be quite a lonely process I think - does anyone want to join me and we can go through it together/share tips etc?

Bit of background - we've tried for 2 months now both unsuccessful. I'm using clearblue ovulation detector to get my peak, and we've been doing the insemination every day from when I get my flashing smiley to the day after the peak, give or take the odd day! Using 10ml syringes and laying down afterwards for 20-30 mins.

Finding the 2ww a real struggle, and my heart breaks every time AF comes! I know it's only been 2 cycles and could take a lot longer so need to be patient! Altho feel like everyone around me is having babies which doesn't help!

Anyway sorry for going on - anyone want to join and share their experiences/tips? Need some motivation and hope!

Bless you @ChunkyButFunky87 from what I’ve read the swimmers start moving in the right direction within seconds so I’m very sure you haven’t lost everything.

I’m CD28 tomorrow but am getting mild aches so am sure the witch is on her way. If she hasn’t arrived by Sunday though I’m going to boots on Sunday afternoon to get a FRER for Monday morning.

I'm sure it's not a symptom. But what can it be. For about two days know I've been getting af type pains. Defo not af of course !

I'm so confused! I've just got a postive opk both cheapie and clear blu. But I got a postive 4 days ago, I'm ttc with a donor and had a donation on 22/23 after getting peak early on 22nd. Both clear blue and cheapie but not this strong! Bbt is below. Am I ovulating again? Or did I not a few days ago? I've been having cramps last two days. Would it still work with donations then ? Any help !

You can’t ovulate twice but your body can gear up to ovulate and none manage it so it tries again @ohsotrying. You are supposed to stop testing after you get your peak though and, especially as you’re using a donor, I suggest you do stop after your first peak or you’re going to drive yourself crazy.

You do still have a chance as things I’ve read suggest swimmers can live up to seven days.

Really though, unless there is a chance you would be able to go meet your donor again each month after the first round of donations you have to stop testing. If you’re unable to go meet your donor again it isn’t serving any purpose but winding you up.

If I wanted to I could meet my donor again but it's a 10 hour round trip involving a overnight stay so would want to be sure. I have not ewcm or anything like that so I'm going to hope it was a couple days ago and if it's not hope they last ! What will be will be. With such a long joruniey I just hoped it was worth it

Just BFN @ChunkyButFunky87 but have been getting usual AF cramps. I did get a BFP at 11dpo the month of my chemical and today is 14dpo (at a guess) though I guess every pregnancy is different so will just have to wait. How is your TWW going?

Hello guys, it's been a busy few days. @ohsotrying I had another peak after my ovulation this cycle too, thought it was a bit weird really. Af is here for me now so I'm onto cycle 8 I think, I've lost track haha. I'm going to start temping this month I think

im temping and im so glad i am as i hope it will confirm what day i have ovulated on. well i shoudl be getting my donation in next hour and i got peak at 21:00 last night was still reading peak at 14:00 and then one tommrow at 12:00. Then i would haave had one 22,23,26,27 which i hope covers me well for this cycle! aand make the journey/money worth it

Messged donor over two hours ago not heard yet ! One step still saying peak so I did the right thing in coming down, as long as he turns up!

Hi ladies, quick question just had a donor job will get one tommrow morning to. My opk still reading peak. Is it 24-36 hours to ovulation from first peak or last. Thank you !

@Waiting2BAMummy going well so far in that I've not started obsessing yet lol however I do wonder if I'm ovulating later than thought, so although did CD 11, 13 & 15, which is in line with Flo app, today is CD19 and Femometer says ovulating today which I think may be more accurate as been crampy this morning and still some Ewcm (but I had that last week too?) so now I'm confused. Anyway, hubby has agreed to try and do another round tonight just incase so who knows lol

I’ve got red tinged cm (sorry) so the witch is definitely on her way.

I’m starting to think I should give this to the end of the year and then just accept this isn’t going to happen.

@Waiting2BAMummy you never know. I was exactly the same with my CP. I was late, nothing, I wiped and saw really slight tinge, thought ah here it is . . Nothing again from the Monday . , Wednesday positive test.

I'll be keeping everything crossed that it's not just the witch! X
