Hi everyone,
Sorry, have been ignoring emails and didn't get any notifications from this. Gave up on the PhD two weeks ago (spent most of the days asleep, decided it wasn't worth killing myself for), was then visited by my supervisor who had got me a two-week extension so here I am, STILL in my bloody office, STILL writing about stuff I lost interest in a while ago. Hey ho!
I'm ok, @Waiting2BAMummy. Not quite so tired now. Strange pain in the groin area though, but I can put up with that. Am heading east tomorrow to hand in thesis, then have second scan (in the hope they can actually get an accurate measurement) over there on Tuesday. So I get a night in a B&B and a shopping trip, paid for courtesy of DP, who seemed quite taken aback I wasn't getting a post-study holiday. (I pointed out the last two weeks were my 'holiday' from work.)
I hope you have better luck this month. Wonderful that your nice donor is willing to help you again, and stick to the SMEP plan.
@LanieM87 - oh bodies are awkward sods, aren't they? Just when you think you have them figured out they go crazy and break the rules. Hope you hear back from CoParents soon.
@Pinkfamily - welcome to the crazy world of donor insemination! It's great that you're tracking early, but, as you may have noticed, be prepared for your body to decide to misbehave as soon as you place an order! Are you temping, or just using OPKs? I did both. The problem with temping is that you don't know you've ovulated til after the fact, but at least it can give you confirmation that you inseminated at the right time. Be warned though, one month my temp app decided I'd ovulated a few days before I expected to, then told me for a week my period was late ('You might be pregnant!') and then, once my period came emended its data to show I'd ovulated when the OPKs said I had. So don't put too much faith in it.
Good luck all of you!
