I'm back. Can't remember what username I posted on this thread on before. I'm back in next month. Been in new job six months so will qualify for maternity if it works. Donor is away from the weekend I ovulate but I've asked to meet him the week before. Waiting to hear back. That'll be next week if it happens.

Otherwise ovulating again at the end of Jan and that'll be attempt 1 this time round.

Welcome back @bitheby hope your donor gets back to you. Can’t believe you’ve been in your job six months I remember you waiting for a start date that’s gone so fast!

I didn't try this month but back to it in Jan. I hope you all had a lovely christmas!

I’m seeing my donor for the first time this month tomorrow.

First donation down for this month but I need to ovulate ideally by Monday as my donor is flying to Morocco on Monday so Sunday will be my last donation.

How is everyone else doing?

Guys I am freaking out! My period hasn’t arrived. I had some spotting on Thursday which is usual for me but now nothing. I have just taken a test and I think I can see a slightly faint second pink line. I can’t be pregnant first month can I???? This can’t be happening!

Yes you absolutely can @CleverQuacks when is your period due? What sort of test did you use?

I used a first response test and my period was due today. The line is very faint. I tried to take a picture of it but it’s not visible on my phone (my camera is shit). What do I do now???

Did you take the test first thing this morning? If not you could test again in the morning and see if it’s darker. If you did test first thing then you’ll probably need to wait and test again on Monday as your HCG levels double every 48 hours so the line should be darker by then.

No tested this evening. I can’t get another test until tomorrow afternoon cos I have my kids and don’t want to let on to them about this yet. I feel slightly sick. I should be happy but I think I am in shock.

I think you’re just in shock because it happened so quickly @CleverQuacks. Don’t panic until you know for sure and I’m certain if you really are pregnant once the shock wears off you’ll be happy. You didn’t go to all the effort of finding a donor etc if you didn’t really want this.

Did another test today and I am definitely pregnant!!! I can’t believe it. I never expected it to happen first time. I am less shell shocked now and starting to feel excited and happy. Looks like I am due 6th of September :)

I wish I had your luck! I have been trying for 14 months but this is month 11 of ‘actively trying’. Had my second donation today and donor goes on holiday tomorrow so that’s it for this month. Not sure if I should stop using the OPK’s or just keep going to see how long after my donation I do get a positive. If I get it tomorrow or Tuesday I’m still in with a small chance but any later and I’m already out for this month. It’s just my luck that I’ve used iso flavones this month and my donor is away!

Donor has just let me down. Was meant to be meeting him tomorrow or Friday.

Anyone know if I can get sperm shipped from a sleek bank for the weekend? The first one I found online requires a signed form from a clinic. Do they all need that?

That'll be a sperm bank.

They all require a medical professional, @bitheby, but as a nurse I think you can be your own. At least I think that’s the case with selmerdiers not sure about the weekend shipping though.

I'm not a nurse. Work with several but none of them know I'm doing this.

Looks like I'm out for this month then. Gutted.

Sorry to hear that @bitheby. I get your disappointment/upset/frustration.

I did have two donations from my donor this month but then he went on holiday and I still hadn’t gotten my positive opk. I stopped testing on Tuesday as I felt like I was just wasting my time.

So sorry to hear you and @bitheby are having a hard time of it. Maybe you missed ovulation...? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sperm lives for up to 5 days so there’s always a chance. No chance with no sperm in my case. I’ve cried a lot. So many mixed emotions. Am so scared I’ve left it too late. But apparently they’re trying to recruit foster carers so have that as a possible longer term aim.
